project 2025... brown shirts and black boots

Nice try! Who authored Project 2025?
Most likely it's most prominent contributors:
  • Kevin Roberts - President of the Heritage Foundation.
  • Arthur C. Brooks - A prominent economist and scholar.
  • Mike Pence - Former Vice President of the United States.
  • Tom Fitton - President of Judicial Watch.
Bottom line is it wasn't Donald Trump. You can go here and read the 900 plus page proposal and list out the author's names listed on each section. I don't see any written by Donald Trump.

Project 2025 is the Republican Platform until the GOP takes steps to definitely, publicly, unambiguously repudiate it. Failing that, if you vote Republican in 2026 or 2028, you are voting for Project 2025.

Absolutely. Entirely written and embraced by Donald J. Trump, sponsored by McDonalds.

MSNBC is right. Trump wrote every word of the 900 + page document. His meeting with Heritage Foundation leaders prove it. Kevin Roberts has 50,000 Trump loyalists already to replace 50,000 government employees on Day 1.

CVS, Walgreens and other major drug retailers are already notifying suppliers of condoms, spermicides and other contraceptive products that they will be terminating contracts starting in January of next year.

GOP leaders in both chambers of congress have already teed up legislation that will require women (and certain men) over 18 to produce at least one child or face tax penalties and possibly criminal charges.

Not one single person has said that Trump authored it.

I’ve already asked, but is there any part of 2025 that you don’t support @Rightguide @BabyBoomer50s

I think not. : )
Don’t fall for this BS claim that Trump has nothing to do with P25. His history of drafting lengthy policy manifestos is well documented. Make no mistake about it. Trump is the Project 2025 mastermind.

trump didn't 'author' it, it's way too long and lucid for that. But it was written/contributed to/imagined/endorsed and promoted by more than 100 of trump's present and former colleagues, written with his knowledge and convictions.

some of the principles are already being enacted by trumplicans:

Southwest District Health, a regional public health department in Idaho, is no longer allowed to provide COVID-19 vaccines to residents in six counties along the Idaho-Oregon border.

During an October 22 meeting, the health department's board voted 4-3 to ban the administration of a vaccine that protects against the virus that causes COVID-19.

The number of people receiving COVID-19 vaccines in the health district, which includes three counties in the Boise metropolitan area, has declined from 1,601 shots given in 2021 to 64 so far this year.

Board members who voted for the ban argued that people can get vaccinated for the virus elsewhere and that providing COVID-19 vaccines was equivalent to approving their safety.

All COVID-19 vaccines on the market have either been approved or authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Researchers estimated that almost 20 million lives were saved by COVID-19 vaccines during their first year in circulation. Despite evidence of the vaccines' safety, there has been skepticism of the vaccines' effects due to misinformation that has been floated.

Going back to this topic - my question - who's vote has been swayed by their knowledge of project 2025?

Not sure the polling numbers, but everytime I've discussed project 2025 with anyone, they've been very light on their knowledge....and often times confuse it with other talking points. Which leads me to believe my original assessment was correct....the talking point doesn't win any additional votes.

In my anecdotal conversations, Project 2025 is viewed as the means of achieving republican objectives. It’s only brought up as a footnote in talking about executive overreach, abortion, and overturning gay rights. For folks not swimming in politics, I’ve been very satisfied With people knowing about it.

But for those people - were they already voting for Harris? Did anyone decide to vote because of it?

Correct. They were already for Harris. My associates on the opposite side don’t engage with me politically, lol I dunno why, but I know through others they find more accommodating that, like here, Project 2025 is brushed off as either left leaning hyperbole or the way for trump to make true his promise on the so called Deep State.

I think the knowledge of it and the fear of it has helped drive voter turn out. To what extent? Hard to measure until after the election.

The topic, if effective, would be useful for those folks who either won't vote or will skip or write in for President.

And my point is that I'm not sure why people have focused so much on it when it clearly isn't effective.

I do think discussing how 45 intends to hire more people to do his stupid shit is very effective....but you don't need project 2025 for that.

The reaction I've had from people on the topic is more eyes rolling into the back of their head because the amount you need to dig into specifics to properly discuss it is mind numbing.

Swayed my vote? No. Reinforced my vote? Yes.

It’s like saying, “do you think that dumping the contents of a bottle of ghost pepper hot sauce into a cup of molten lead before you drink it would change your mind to not drink it?”

Why is your vote important in this? You never would vote for the opposition.

There are voters that are needed to win. What part of that are you missing here?

Any evidence that Trump actually wrote anything? He signed shit and was often noted as never reading anything relevant to his briefings. The most he ever read was a McDonald's menu.
