I'm transparently me on lit and I think that is clear to all.

I confess though: my first two weeks, way back, I pretended to inhabit a different set of circumstances. At that time I was desperate about the absence of sex in my marriage and indeed it was that which brought me to lit. So I have an understanding of people on here inventing another life - or even two - they may need to. For me, two weeks of it and I saw what a lonely online existence that was, in my case, and totally changed my tune to the real me.

And meanwhile *cue firework display accompanied by Hallelujah Chorus* my very good woman came through her depression and we've been making up for lost time ever since.
