Name: Ellisime G'arldine
Height: 5'8
eyes: Violet
Hair: Silvery Red
Race: Elven
Class: Druid/Mage
Info: Ellsime or Elle as she is known by a select few is a stuck daughter of the King of the elven kingdom. She is one of the younger daughters so she is far from being the heir. Besides she hate responsibilty. She is quite beautiful and her father is constantly trying to betrothe her. She rebels of course saying she wishes to find her own true love. Her father scoffs at that but she will not give in.
Abilities: Elle can speak to Animals due to her druidic abilities and can preform pretty powerful spells but they drain her energy to easily. She is currently working on conserving energies so this doesn't happen. She isn't good with weopons except her daggers which she keeps strapped to her thighs. She is deadly at hand to hand combat and pretty good with a staff.

Good?

I'd like to get in, however, I am new here, so please, be gentle. I'm sensitive. I'll work up a character and get him posted asap.

We were all virgins, once.
We'll be supportive.

Aye we can be gentle. Besides- if you're really a Marine, then you're a "cousin in arms" to me and a few others here. My reasoning- my fellow Zoomies are "brothers and sisters" in arms. Army, Navy, and Marines are cousins in arms.
Mud ducks are red headed step kids but still part of the family.
So I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt and welcome you whole heartedly both to the ORP and to Lit in general.

Name: Novachok Fanril
Height: 5'6"
Build: Slight
Eyes: Hazel (a deep emerald green with touches of deep
brown)
Hair: Brown
Race: Half-Elven
Class: Mage, major focus on Illusions.
He really is a good person, just misunderstood due to his joking nature (see below).

Bio: Nova spent most of his younger years in constant trouble, through no fault of his own mind you. His father was a human mage who met his mother while traveling thorugh the Elven Kingdom. As Nova grew older, he studied under his father and it became apparent that he was a natural in the magic arts. Nova, always having been a bit mischievous, favored the Illusion spells, playing practical jokes on nearly everyone in the small hamlet where they lived. After one especially cunning joke, well Nova thought it was cunning, involving the mayor's daughter, a couple of drunken dwarves, and a horse, Nova was asked to leave the hamlet where they lived (chased by a furious mob may be a little more accurate, but who's really keeping track). He has been traveling for several years now and is always looking for a new adventure.

Weapons: Nova carries a long quarter staff. Once per day, he may loose his staff to attack on it's own for 3 minutes. He also keeps a stash of throwing knives hidden within the folds of his robes. The throwing knives are enchanted and will return to him after he has loosed them. Unfortunately, they tend to return pointing the wrong way occasionally (hey, they were cheap) causing minor cuts to his hands with a pretty good chance that he'll drop them.

Clothes: Nova wears a brown robe with intricately carved silver runes.

Other Items of Interest: Nova wears rings. The first allows Nova to discern a person alignment and whether or not they have any ill intent against him. It does not, however, allow him to tell whether his allies are at risk uless he is too (e.g. a pickpocket has target a companion but not Nova, the ring is useless to him). The second allows nova to store a spell in it for instant use at any time. There is no limit to the power of the spell, but it must be an Illusion spell. Finally, Nova keeps two rings hidden in his pockets. When worn by two people, one person may call upon the ring to reduce any physical damge the other takes by half. The remaining damage is then taken by the wearer who called upon the rings (e.g. Nova gives one ring to Bubba and wears the other himself. Bubba is fighting an orc and Nova uses his ring. The ork hits Bubba. The damage is halved and Nova takes the remaining damage.)

Strengths: While slight of build, Nova is quick, both physically and mentally (he spent a lot of his childhood running from persons not amused by his jokes or talking his way out of a thorough thumping.) He is well spoken and quite adept in persuassion and negotiating. He is not likely to fall for illusions or traps as he has spent a lot of time studying these areas.

Weakness: Nova has a tendency to drink a wee bit too much every now and then (4 or 5 days a week). When he starts to drink, his strenghts (listed above) are void. In fact, he usually begins to irritate people with his loudness and while his casting ability is not diminished, he usually picks the wrong spell at the wrong time (see the bio above).

Let me know if you see any changes you think I should make.

and I am honored that you picked my thread to be your first.. I was a first time poster .. as well just a few months ago .. dont be afraid to spread your wings hun :)

Magic rings that half damage?

"Here, wear this"
"Okay. Thanks. Why-OW! What the Hell?"

Hmm. You can tell people's alignment, huh? Yeah, well, if you try to use that against Yrismir, just remember he has a 'Staff of Evil', that gives off an evil aura and makes him seem to be evilly aligned.

Because I like screwing with people. Heh heh heh.

Nova is a good person in general, just a bit mischievous in times. While he rarely goes looking for trouble, it tends to find him more often than not, especially in the local taverns.

Clarification on the rings, you can activate your ring to take damage for the other ring bearer, but you can NOT have him/her take your damage without them using their ring.

Hope this clarifies some things. Oh yeah, and I am really a Marine. I just happen to be able to read and write too. I know, it's rare.

LOL!
Oh, a sense of humor, good.

We'll be amazed at your power,...of illusion,...

But you just best watch where you throw them. Especially since your alignment ring will be fucked up by Yrismir's Staff of Evil. *TWACK!*

"HA! Didn't see that coming, did you Mr. Magic Items?"

Of course Gecko is still in, still a human knight, and still not sure where he is at the moment...... Anyway, I was just waiting for Rozes to approve my character's history and edit anything so as to fit into the continuity of the world. Now I just need to have Rozes send me back my character's info because I forgot to save it in a word file. D'oh!

Ahhh. Good. Just mark you down, here. Good.

Let's everybody try to stay in this thread until the bitter, smelly end, ya?

Sorry about the robes. I meant to take that out. They're just plain ol' robes now. And with the rings, I think they'll fit in just fine. Let's go back to Nova, Bubba and the orc.

Bubba attacks the orc, swinging his huge sword powerfully with both hands. The orc deftly jumps to the side bringing his weapon down in a slash to Bubbas unprotected arms. Sensing the orcs intentions, Nova closes his eyes and concentrates on the ring on his middle finger. The orc slashes down into Bubbas arms with all his might. He feels his blade slice cleanely through the forearm, ripping muscle, tendon and bone as it passes through. (NOTE: at this point, normally Bubbas arm would have been severed, severly hampering any combat ability he has...however.) As the orc regains his balance for another attack he is shocked to see Bubba already preparing for his own attack. Using the orcs surprise to his advantage, Bubba slides his blade cleanly through the orcs mid section. As the orc falls, the last thing he sees before the world grows dark is the one in robes kneeling down, cradling his left arm. Bubba makes his way over to Nova and inspects the wound. It is a deep, clean slice into the forearm seeming to stop somewhere in the bone of the forearm. While not fatal, it will take some time and healing before Nova will have full use of his arm again.

Not my best writing, but hopefully it will clarify how the ring may be used a bit.

Gotcha. So The wound kinda half-and hafs. Okay.

Seems cool. Don't know how often you'll use that, but looks like an interesting concept, and I think I get it now.

Just wait for Gecko to get his information back and up, see if we can get another for the forces of good and if our non-NPC baddies'll get anything up, and we could start.

I won't say can or will, because I'm not in charge. :p

Alright alright, forget about Dorian, bunch a babies, I left him with huge weaknesses to counter his large strength but fine, I'll come up with something else. Besides I think I am going to switch sides and go Good, evil always gets beaten. let's see...*serching through character database...* Hmm ah here we are...

Name: Jandar Brae
Age: 25
Race: Human
Class: Fighter/Cleric
Occupation: Knight
God: War
Height: 6'8"
Weight: 300#
Eye Color: Turquoise
Hair Color: Brown
Hair Style: Mullet
Weapons: Gias Axe Defender +2
(Short Shaft, Big Blade very slow but can be used as a sheild as well) 2 Short Swords, 10 daggers, 20 throwing Knives. (God of War, gotta have weapons for every angle.)
Although Jandar worships the God of War he is basically a good guy helping where he can. He studies the Art of Warfare and is somehow involved in most major wars that he can find, either helping with the fighting or provideing insight into tactics and such. He useally helps those on the side of light but has been known to work both sides occasionally. Strange that a man who loves War would be chosen to participate in this race.

(Concerning Dorian: Truthfully I know he is ultra powerful and moreover that is a toned down version of Dorian. Of course it did take four level 18 characters to take that version out. I like high power in my games and come on guys, the sword was possessed by the King of All Deamons, you expect him to be weak? I did not think that Rozes would even let me play him when I originally Pm'd her with the idea, I guess I did not explain enough about him to her. Anyway, I love Jandar he is an old fav of mine and I think should do nicely for the game. I will edit Dorian out.)

Ahhh yes, but in the meantime they can have loads of fun

My second and evil char if approved:

Ophelia

Evil

Drow

Typical white long white hair, her eyes are dark, almost black. She dresses in black both because she likes it and because it suits her trade which is mercenary/rogue.

Born to parents who were not wealthy, Ophelia has learned that, if you want something you have to take it. That and her natural instincts as a drow make her a very dangerous enemy.

She carries a variety of daggers and knives hidden on her person and can reach one within a moments notice. Her special abilities lie completely within her own talents for she distrusts anything she cannot see and hold and magic is one of those things she distrusts the most.

'Kay. Looks good.

Like the new character, Rone. Sensible. Normal.

Hmmm. Should I make an evil character?
.... ... ... ... Probably not.

Nooo, actually, you should go back to the other thread and model your new 'ahem' clothing for me.

LOL
