Reading this post reminds me of a movie I saw as a kid. I think I was 10-12 years old and it was on the tv as a Sunday Movie. The title was "Paper Moon" and I still remember quite a lot from it and I liked it a lot! I don't know if it would be as good today or I'd be disappointed.
The actress who played the little girl won the best supporting actress Oscar for her role in that movie.

I think I'll see if I can find it on some streaming platform and see if I still enjoy it.

I only just learned how to link memes and nice pics too so I'm gonna have to have a think about if I can still do that. I quite like sharing little images and quotes etc as a type of shorthand for how I'm feeling. I tried to be respectful of the rules too but I can't expect the PTB to differentiate between random nonsense and potential violations of the policy.

Yeah it's gonna take some adjusting too. A lot of pic threads have become link threads which is fair enough I suppose. I just wished there'd been more clarity from the site owners to the mods at least and then passed to us.
To me, one of the many annoying aspects of this is that the change was supposed to be about nudity. But there was no nudity in the cute and funny memes and pics that you were posting. It's like they've just decided that tumblr equals nudity, so anything from tumblr can only be a link. And, as far as I know, they've still never given their definition of nudity to those of us creating original photos. I know it's their site and their money and their decision, but just give us the guidelines so that we can understand and follow them.
Yeah I have no issue personally with people posting really erotic imagery but I haven't wanted to do that here.
If there's no real way to filter NSFW posts from SFW then why make nudity where they draw the line?

Judging from JaF0's post in 2023 the plan was always to ban all pictures from the site to turn it into a text only site.
I don't think I've ever seen you break the rules. You share your own pics. The ones of yourself are arty and tasteful too.
@RosewoodTulip and @Saltfountain, have you both lost the ability to attach images, meaning that you no longer have the “Attach files” button as an option at the bottom left of your reply window? Or are you using the “Insert image” button at the top of the window and, instead of embedding the photo from your link, it’s just pasting the link itself into the message? I think this second situation is happening to almost everyone. It appears that any link from tumblr or giphy is automatically being displayed as a link only. I’m sure it’s happening with images from other sites as well. My past understanding of losing photo posting privileges was that the “Attach files” button was removed from the reply window. Just trying to clarify what is happening to people.
I have that option still but I've never actually used it. I've only ever shared my own stuff from something like imgbb or linked from a different site.
