I was meant to be taking the boy out for a haircut and to get some little Xmassy bits but I really don't fancy going out in this

My sister is coming for the weekend. They are driving down from Nottingham to Cambridge so hopefully it won’t be too bad for them. Not planning on leaving the house. Movies, drinks and snacks are the only plans I have

I used to skate a lot when I was younger.
And by skate I mean propel myself forwards until I hit a barrier then turn and skate towards the next one.
Clearly I should have been at the Olympics or something.

Hope you have fun. Is it one of those outside pop up Xmas skate rinks?

I once had to have the car stopped on the motorway so I could vomit after going ice skating. Next time my skates dug in so that I hit the ice with my knees: the pain was transcendental. Not keen on winter sports generally

Oh god I'm not surprised!
Yeah even though I was beyond shit at it I still enjoyed going. Had my own skates and it was only a couple of quid to skate all afternoon. But it wrecked my knees so I had to give it up.

I love the idea of skating, but in common with anything requiring coordination, not my thing.
To be clear, the vomit incident was when I was a child I think as a result of too much excitement and a migraine

Oh poor thing
I used to at least attempt various sporty things but I have come to realise I can't run or swim in straight lines. I can't throw very well and can't catch either. I used to always be put on goal for netball because I was hopeless at all the other positions and they didn't know what else to do with me

When my niece was younger she got perfect marks in school other than coordination. Her uncle, a big athletics player and fan, took to throwing things at her when she least expected it to try to improve her skills. It was awful and kind of hilarious at the same time

I think I have a delayed reaction. Think Daria putting her hand out too late but not on purpose. I've been clonked in the head a fair few times because I just didn't move in time.
Probably explains a lot about me..

Oh of course. I forgot you go sailing.
That's so interesting. I've been on various types of boat but only as a passenger
