Reading Books For Pleasure

I just read the lastest J.R. Ward book Lover Unbound. I didn't even know it was out until I saw it at the store yesterday. It was a welcome surprise since I've read all the others in the series. Of course I'm paying for those late night hours today.

Ooooooh, covet, covet, COVET.

I may have already mentioned this one but anyway, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant was quite enjoyable. Thankfully it wasn't preachy in any way! It's a good tale of women and a historical novel. It diverges and elaborates on the biblical account of Dinah and her kin.

I'm reading two books right now. Out in my car is a book on folklore common in people who lived near the ocean. And inside I've FINALLY got the most recent Christine Feehan! :nana:

Yay you!

I know you are happy!

I just finished The Tin Roof Blowdown A Dave Robicheaux Novel by James Lee Burke. As always his novel is awesome.

I didn't really like the new C. Feehan that much. *pout* It was confusing and weird. And considering what C. Feehan writes, to call it weird says a lot.

I felt the same way, graceanne.

I'm now reading Exit Strategy by Kelley Armstrong and The Rise to Globalism by Stephen Ambrose.

I know how it bites when you look forward to something but it isn't good after all. Sorry that happened.

It won't happen with this month's BDSM selection.

*giggles*

I'm making myself wait another week to start it, since I finished the last three in a couple of days, and I want it to be fresh when I review it. But I'm really excited. :D

It's good. I wrote my review of it just after I finished the book while it was fresh.

I was greedy to read it when I did.

Me was bad.

LOL Well, if I wasn't so busy I'm sure I'd have succumbed to temptation by now. lol Anticipation is killing me.

Started the Merry Gentry series. Read the first one and am now on Seduced by Moonlight. Seems I've missed one in between. Man I love sex magick.

*nods* Those can be fun. A Lick of Frost is this month's BDSM reading selection btw.

Lately I've been bouncing between two trilogies. One is a teen vampire series that starts with Twilight. The other is the Robin Hobb Lifeship trilogy. It's not quite as good as the Farseer trilogy but it's good enough that I always want more. The trilogy starts with Ship of Magic.

I started reading Friday by Robert Heinlein (for the umpteenth time). It was written by him in the 1950's and it is astounding how accurate his prediction of the future was back then... and there is a definite bdsm twist to some of what he writes.
