Have you ever recommended a friend for a job? If so how did it turn out?
I recently recommended a friend who has worked with me before doing the same thing I am doing still. Spoke highly of him, had reassurance from him that he was good to go. They interview him, they hire him. He finds out his first day is a full 12 hour shift, he leaves early. Family emergency, alright ok it happens. Calls in the next day. Now he is off the rest of the week til Friday, calls in again. This time he over shares his thoughts, gets fired. Now I'm stuck picking up the pieces of what little good reputation I used to get him this job.
Never again will I offer to help him. I'm also not quite sure I want to remain friends with this person either. In my opinion he has shown me he is unreliable and untrustworthy.
