Republican Convention

Again, you think this because you yourself are far enough right not to realize how far right FOX News is. MSNBC exists on the left as a direct and intentional response to FOX's position on the right. They both suck for the same reason.

CNN is lousy, and clearly leans left, but that's not the source of their lousiness, nor their biggest sin. By contrast, FOX and MSNBC's biggest sin is their partisanship.

Whoever said "we just never noticed new sources' biases before" is not quite right. Newspapers used to be overtly partisan, even so far as carrying ideologies in their names. As papers folded, and most cities became one-paper towns, the had to move center to capture market. That shift has continued, not reversed. As it has not yet happened to cable news, the sources are able to vie for markets in explicitly partisan terms, with several (CNN among them) hoping/claiming/aiming/preteending to serve the "middle."

Not in all cases. The NYT used to be a much more objective paper 20 years ago than they are today. They moved left, not center.

Actually if the were smart they would tackle the hard decisions crap...

Hard decsions...like cutting Medicaid
hard descions.... like cutting SS
Hard descions...like pushing grandma over the cliff

Sorry, I actually wanted to believe that you were interested in a real discussion.

I'll be sure and remember this the next time you try and spin yourself as being objective or unbiased.

Fair enough. But to think you are above it is bullshit. Your are far enough left not to realize how left CNN is. Not one shred of difference there....
There is, though--explicitly. FOX is funded and fed by the GOOP, in the way that MSNBC is funded and fed by the DuNCes. CNN is beholden to its adminstration sources and its corporate funding, but INTENDS to be centrist. It is not; it skews left. Your need to push every conversation into "I know you are but what I am" is counterproductive; you seem to have missed both times I said that above.

For what it's worth, I am "above it" all only to the extent that we don't have TV, so I don't get news from any of them. When I'm curious (as I was) about how the GOOP convention is playing, I check FOX online. When something comes through a feed with a CNN byline, I'll read it. But I don't use any of them for my news; they're TV products, not news products (to me). And under no circumstances do I look at MSNBC, which is a big bowl of wet shit by any measure.

yep...

PBS is so liberal...Yeah Cookie Monster and Big Bird are indoctrinating the childrens of the world into the socialist/communist/Kenyan/anti-white/rich-is-bad way of thinking.

Mr Rogers was more communist than Mao!!

*serious teenager eyeroll*

Oh come on, you can't watch a single nature documentary without hearing how industry and humans are evil and we're all going to destry the world some day if we don't snap out of it. Try it. The last five minutes should do it.

I happen to think human beings are awesome and I do a lot of eye rolling myself.

To be fair, New York is also not a one-paper town (and its best-selling paper is the FOX of newspapers).

Heh. Sher Valenzuela:

"Valenzuela, currently running for the lieutenant governor in Delaware, is the GOP’s “We Build It” speaker, intended to exemplify the American Dream of building a small business from the ground up without government assistance. But her upholstery business received $17 million in federal loans and contracts."
