Except that she did not run as Billy's wife in a continuation of his presidency, she ran on stay the course of the Obama Administration; trying to hold together the coalition that elected Obama, and failed.
Voters rejected Obama policies at every opportunity they had on the ballot in the off year elections. The only time Obama did not lose was when he personally was on the ballot and he won on the strength of his personal appeal not his policies. He said himself in the last midterm election that his policies were very much on the ballot and voters rejected him. Obama campaigned for Hillary in swing states in the voters rejected his appeal. Hillary only garnered 50 contested electoral votes; all of the other votes for Hillary would have gone to a turnip with a D after its name. That is a pretty brash repudiation of a continuation of Obama's policies. Trump ran on gutting Obamacare, the signature "accomplishment" of Obama.
Current poll out has Trump as more preferred for President right now then Obama 46-45.
