Voters rejected Obama policies at every opportunity they had on the ballot in the off year elections. Didn't T-Rump winning show not to trust polls. T-Rump got 27% of possible voters. Hardly a clean cut win and repudiation of Obama's policies.

If Obama won on personal appeal, maybe he would have had a shot at a third term.

No but the loss of both congress and a significant number of state legislatures/governorship's is certainly a repudiation of the DNC and the direction it went.

"Fuck white people, men and anyone who doesn't think they are the cause of all problems in the world." didn't pan out as well for (D)'s as they thought it would.

That's what happens when you vote for someone who is all about appearances. The majority of Amercans want the ACA. Trump wants approval from a majority of people to quelch his ongoing insecurity.

Under the evolving plan, the Trump administration would rely on existing legislation authorizing fencing and other technology along the southern border. Congress would be asked to ensure that enough money is appropriated to take additional new steps — but would not pass a stand-alone bill authorizing a big new wall.

They are getting screwed out of their Mexico-paid-for wall!
