Republican Safe Space

Isn't the vast majority of America's land mass a "Republican Safe Space?"

From almost sea to shining almost to the sea. There are only about 5 states the Dems completely control.

6 States bear Democratic Party governorship and legislature majorities: CA, DE, HI, OR, RI, & VT

24 States bear Republican Party governorship and legislature majorities.

12 States bear Democrat legislature majorities: CA, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, NV, NJ, NM, OR, RI, & VT

32 States bear Republican majorities in their legislatures.

6 States have split legislatures: AK, CO, CT, ME, NY, WA

Roughly 80% of all Americans abide on roughly 20% of its land, and the great majority of those 80% live very near to coasts.

The rest of the roughly 20% of have to make do with roughly 80% of America's landmass.

Thanks, I was looking for those numbers. Off the top of my head, I would have only gotten HI, CA, and OR correct. I was thinking WA and NY, and less sure about RI and MA. I wasn't thinking of DE and VT but should have. Biden / Sanders.

Power concentrates in "safe" (for the pol) states because there is no possibility of turning out an incumbent.

Hence, my support of your term limit thread.

The Democrats control the cities. The savages control the wilderness between. How the mujahedeen beat the Ruskies in Afghanistan.

Worked for Robin Hood, too.

He was from Yorkshire. Good lad!

Although I would have been a King John's man. Richard the 'Lionheart' was a twat. Spent no more than a few months in England. Bankrupted the country twice. Once to pay for his crusade to the Holy Land and again when his ransom needed paying. Didn't produce an heir which was his first duty to ensure peaceful continuance of government.

It was during John's reign that English returned as the language at court. He was a very good administrator and managed the economy well. And even his losses had a good side. The Magna Carta is a great nation building myth and his losses on France removed England from continental entanglements for awhile. For all it's lack of resources, small population and shitty weather England has always been a rich country.
