Republicans locking Democrats out of the process

I was focused on the fact that the secrecy of the Conservatives, was aimed at keeping the Democrats from being able to argue against particular parts. They are not allowing access, to people that intend protect the public, and have the power to intercede. Listening to Greater Boston, one of the panel brought up the fact that the public is not being given any opportunity to give their input.

Is that not odd, that the Conservatives would keep it secret from the very people that will depend on it ?

As a relatively neutral observer, looking at all this from the other side of the Atlantic, this seems rather a crude caricature of what Obama and the Democrats actually did. My memory of it is they bent over backwards to involve the Republicans into the process, accepting a huge number of GOP amendments to what was effectively a Republican-inspired bill, but the Republicans simply refused to cooperate, just saying 'no' all the time, in an extraordinary act of obstructionism. And the Obamacare legislation took around a year to go through Congress. Yet the Republicans seem determined to ram this through in record time, with no scrutiny and all done under the cover of darkness. There's simply no comparison between the two.

What I see is a President getting fatter and angrier, under investigation by a Special Counsel, being sued by some major lawsuits, losing his Travel Ban, not building his wall, unable to pass Healthcare, his agenda run into the ground, chaos and confusion in the White House, not able to corral a REPUBLICAN Congress, plummeting approval (just went down 14% for Republicans in one month), embarrassing the US all over the world.

And, we're back to; and? What do you expect from the harassment he's undergoing? He's working his butt off trying to fix things and the Dems are doing all they can to prevent it.

Filibustering his nominees. Taking trash about his agenda. Stirring up political unrest. Stirring up civil unrest. And generally lying about him and his family.

Polls, for the past 2 years, have been wrong wrong wrong on everything Trump. yet, you still continue to cling to them in the hope that somehow they MEAN something. Newsflash, they don't.

I've noticed that the ONLY place Trump is "embarassing us, is in those places where Liberals control the government. I don't think Saudi Arabia or Israel is embarrassed. Or China. Or Iran. Or Syria. Or N. Korea. Or Russia.

One, the Dems have lost seats in State legislatures. This is a FACT. Yet you cling to the hope that they will take those seats back in 2 years. With WHO? There's nobody waiting to run except the has beens who got booted out.

Two, The GOP is not trying to do a DNC act in Congress. They want bipartisan support for the bills they are crafting. You only need to look at the differences in the way the ACA and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 were enacted to see which one the PEOPLE approved of and how the were created. ObamaCare was an anathema to the way GOOD legislation is created. It's no wonder it failed. Even leaving out the goofy impossible financial structure, it was almost universally reviled. Did you EXPECT that the GOP would just let it ride when 4/5ths of the Country HATES it? Don't be daft.

And, for someone so concerned about health, you elected the oldest President in history. He just keeps getting fatter, hates exercise, obviously looks like he's going to have a stroke any second.

Once again, AND? What is it with you? Do you dislike old people just because they're OLD?

Case in point. ObamaCare is going to completely fail. The only way to fix it is to inject MASSIVE amounts of money into it. If it's not affordable NOW, making premiums go up isn't going to help anyone. Increasing taxes isn't going to help anyone.

Well, there's abundant evidence that Trump is "only in it for himself."

2. The President sets the agenda, shapes policy. I want him NOT to make decisions that would best benefit himself and his family, but which will benefit the American people.

3. Oh and there's the little matter of the fact that he's violating the Constitution. He's being sued for being in violation of the Emoluments Clause.

4. The Presidency is not a personal toy for Donald Trump.
