That it is. And the tide may not ebb the way you think it might. Most people don't like the bill is for a couple of reasons.

One is that the bill looks and feels like ObamaCare and the GOP is supposed to repeal it, not add to it.

Two is an extension of the first issue; the GOP is trying to use reconciliation to pass the bill with a simple majority rather than just vote to repeal ObamaCare straight up. The nuances of that are beyond more people's understanding and comprehension.

Mumbles McConnell doesn't get that he needs to have a spokesperson EXPLAIN that to the public in words that actually can ARTICULATE it in a way that the average person can understand. And then put the message on repeat until EVERYONE hears it.

IMO, Congress needs to scrap this whole reconciliation idea and wait until this fall when premiums go up and even more insurers pull out of more exchanges. THEN they need to craft a bill repealing ObamaCare straight up. Let the Dem's vote against it with the constituents screaming at them for relief and elections looming.

Draft TWO bills over the summer, One a straight repeal. The other the replacement. What they're trying to do now is a clusterfuck.

1] What sane person would vote for such a party? It seems to me "its members" would be the obvious answer. That is why I always sign-in my "party" last-minute when I go to vote, & hesitate to announce it online or anywhere else (nor do I view references to lib/con on sites like these thinking of myself as either).

2] You really think so? Personally, I look at the highest-powered Rep for an example. He has claimed he would date/be physically involved with his daughter (who I could take or leave depending on the pic & day), & IMO, has a hot wife now, but everyone has seen that clip (at least one) of her smacking his hand away, not to mention she lived in NY for a long time after he got the literal office in the new residence... Oh yea, Nancy P. and Walters among others said they would not sit down with the President or the Republicans in Congress for any reason. The Democrats admitted they never read Obama Care so their own leaders left them out of the process long ago. Remember Princess Nancy P. said "Now that the bill has past, we can now find out what is in it." And she was the leader of Congress and she never read Obama Care and the Democrats came out even before they had time to read this bill and were on the floor of Congress saying it was "Mean". Like Obama Care wasn't? And when President Obama and his "co writers of the bill" came out and admitted they lied to Congress and the American people about everything in Obama Care did the Democrats cry foul and demand the impeachment of Obama? No, like good little mindless uneducated puppets they did and said nothing.

Oh and the deal about interfering with the election process. The President, after the Democrats cried when Clinton lost the election (on her own) said there was interference. Even with the fake Russian bit the President said to let the investigation go on and he asked that public information as to who voted and who was not eligible be brought forward. All states cooperated, but the 19 belonging to the Democratic Party and whose states have a bad rep about stuffing ballot boxes and Party machines refuse to take part. Wonder if they might have something to hide. Being from California I know our state does. So again another "fake news" from the leftist.

Kris Kobach demanded that all 50 states send him the names, addresses, social security numbers, birth dates, voting history, and other personal information for all registered voters.

Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin (D) provided a different reason for his refusal to supply the information.

“It’s not a public record,” Brian McNiff, a spokesman for Galvin, said about voter data. Under Massachusetts law, voter information “shall not be a public record.”

Kobach's request that he will attempt to match data obtained from the state elections officials and from the DOJ requests, as he and several states have already done through his faulty Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck program. This program has improperly cut hundreds of thousands of eligible voters from the registration rolls due to mismatches, in clear violation of the National Voter Registration Act. As he's also publicly stated, Kobach intends to check voter registration data against the SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification Entitlements) database to determine whether non-citizens are on the rolls despite the fact that the Department of Homeland Security has clarified that this is not an accurate database for updated citizenship records.

Do you have a computer? If so you can purchase all the information that the committee is requesting. Also it is available from the court houses and any committee or person running for office can get copies. How else do you think they get your name for ads during election time? The Presidents committee can go around the state AG's (who are mostly like the Obama AG's) if it desires. But by right it is the responsibility of the states to ensure that their election process is legal and fair so cooperation is called for.

It is also interesting that the only states refusing are run by the Democrats and have a history of questionable elections. If they don't have anything to hide (and believe me here in California they have a lot to hide) there is no reason not to clear up the election process. After all isn't that what the Democrats are crying about over this Russian thing? Just because it is fake doesn't mean they are wrong and the process should be looked at and voter I.D. and accurate honest polling should take place.

If a politician can't be elected without forcing blocks of people (by race or by union membership or a financial hold - all of which I have had seen done) they have no right to be elected. A former member of Congress who loss an election bid for the Senate, admitted when she was running for Congress that she had "votes" to pull out if the actual ballot box vote went against her. Crooked.

I want them to go a step further. If the Constitution says that the President has term limits then any office of the three branches should also have term limits, federal, state and local. There are millions of us in this country. And you people know for a fact that any of you can do their job if called on and there is no reason why you shouldn't be called on to hold office. We don't need, want, or deserve royal political families in this country.
