I have been on for 7 years and I can seriously count on one hand how many people I regularly pm with. Ok, maybe one hand plus two fingers....

Several people here I've never chatted with but would, I'm going to start to be more open on here again, the wall is coming down.
3 people to me are intimidating.
Slinger is the only guy, but he can't handle a Slayer concert so I'll give him a belly rub.
Corbal is a badass but would most likely be a lot of fun to go out on the town with.
Garnate intimidated me until I chatted with her.
Most of the people I chat with are men & no I don't role play on here. A few are gone now which seems to be the trend.

The purpose is simple. I think of the playground as a community. It's held together by bonds between people. Too often I see people leave, and read of bonds being broken. This is an attempt to find a way for people to build bonds. To meet new people. To keep this place alive and lively.

Lately I've found myself more enjoying connecting via PM, the boards are fun, but I just find the more personal interacting to be more what in here for. Have some great friends that I talk to very often from there.
That being said, I know that's not for everyone, so can be tough to start a conversation the first time. An example barefootgirl, I've always enjoyed her posts, but we've not interacted off the boards.
