Thanks again, everyone. I do feel better that I've done the right thing. There is only one other person on the board that we suspect may be in the same boat with this member. I've emailed her directly to tell her about him. If we are wrong and she has no connection to him off the board, oh well. I've asked that she then keep the info to herself. If we are right, I hope she pays attention and understands that we only told her about him to spare her pain and suffering.

But I had guessed correctly for the person who did get it! She handled the situation very well on her own already, didn't need the warning.

But that tells me there really is a pattern in this guy's approach. Be wary of nice guys! The devil takes all forms. He doesn't always look like the snake he is.

Now that guy pisses me off. Not only has he hurt some very nice and good people here.
But he has also planted the seeds of suspicion when it comes to the rest of us, who talk off the board.

Side note: A few of you have emailed me to ask about specific people. I'll be happy to tell you who it isn't if you're worried you might be in contact with this guy off the board. Or I'll tell you if you have the misfortune of joining our little club. And I don't care who is talking to who (whom?) off the board so don't worry if you want to ask about someone specific but you don't want people to know about any connection you have with him. I'll keep it to myself.

Remember though, registered ID's are easy to change and we already know this guy is registered as more than one person. I'll probably be away from the bb and email from later today until tomorrow night, so I'm not ignoring you if I don't get back to you right away.

I am angered by the fact that even though I know I am not the individual you are talking about, you will still look upon me with fear and my motives will be suspect. My thoughts as to your getting revenge are if it is just naming the a--hole then it isn't revenge it is a public service. Think of all the ladies you will save from embarassment and maybe something worse. Personally I say name names and let the world know who he is!

I'm back! Never made it out of town on my business trip- crashed at my parents' house last night in the snow storm and was pampered with a home cooked meal, nice warm bed to sleep in, and breakfast to order this morning. Better than a mini-vacation!

Hey I resent the accusation, I was a nice guy once! Hmm, wait.. that sounded wrong.

I will say that you rarely have to get 'revenge' on such people. They tend to be rather pathetic individuals who hurt others only because it's the only way for them to feel smart, or important, or even loved. If Joe Schmo isn't even good enough to lick someone's boots he's not worth the time or energy.
