The reason why the Republican Party is, at the moment, on track to lose the 2024 election is that the Republican Party is a minority coalition that picked a very unpopular 78-year-old retread as its candidate.

I know the lawyer mentality makes you want to sway this guy with your so-called logical brain. And I understand where you're coming from, but I think it's important to be careful with this kind of rhetoric. Reducing such complex choices to a 'win' or 'lose' framework oversimplifies the reality of our political system. Voting isn't just about siding with one candidate to 'fix' things—it’s about choosing someone who genuinely aligns with your values and vision for the country.

I have to disagree with the idea that voting for Democrats means losing your honor or ideals. People have legitimate reasons for voting the way they do, and demonizing the opposition doesn’t help foster understanding or solve the real issues at hand. The notion that Democrats or anyone else is out to manipulate voters into confusion is divisive and misses the fact that most people, regardless of party, want what they believe is best for the country.

Of course, you are correct on the concept that the writer and everyone else have a right to vote for the person of their choice. And there is no shame in another person promoting their own views. Preferably with facts and reasoned logic, not lies and half-truths like the ones you often spout.

  • Is Harris an ideal candidate?
  • Is she an incredibly talented orator?

  • Does she have a long track record of competence at the state and federal level?

And to address the last three "gotchas" in your Gish Gallop
  1. Political betting sites are sucker bets gamed by people with money to waste attempting to influence public opinion.
  2. Rassmussen Polls uses a methodology that is now spectacularly out-of-date: In 2016, they predicted Trump's win because they chose to deliberately structure their polls to place a premium on "voters over 30", because "everyone knows people under 30 don't vote". And they didn't....in 2016. Gen-Z has subsequently turned out mightily at the polls in 2020 and 2022, but Rasmussen continues to cling to their old ways. Rasmussen came out in last place in 2020 due to their obsolete polling methods. Their credibility is crumbling as fast as your spinal column.
  3. Trump is shown as "winning" by razor-thin margins in swing states...for now. ALL of the swings states contain something called a "margin of error" that recognizes that Kamela Harris can still win any or all of these states because Trump's lead is not outside of the "margin of error", a fact you are unwilling or unable to recognize.
