Hey, there...saw on Jessie's Ampic thread about Trixie's migraines, and didn't want to hijack over there...

Has Trixie tried aromatherapy? Chiropractic manipulation? I've done all of that, too. I'm considering accupressure/accupuncture next. I I finally hit upon a med that worked on the migraines (a generic of imitrex), and because it conflicts with other medications that I take, I'm not allowed to take it anymore. The stuff they gave me is basically caffeine in pill form and doesn't do squat. I wish ibuprofen worked...migraines suck. Anyway, just wanted to let her know that I empathize with her :)

Aromatherapy? No. Chiro? Religiously....( both of us, for sundry afflictions). The old standby Excedrin really works best for her, but it has to be taken at the onset. ( It has the caffeine, which does help...but by itself???). Frickin' migraines DO suck balls, and are not understood very well at all.
 
And how 'bout you? Allergies still giving you grief? Or are you feeling better (I hope)?:heart:

That's an American Deluxe Tele, 2003. The one from my old AV. Plugged straight into a mid 90's Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp. Midnight Rider with about 1/3 of the reverb, the regular drive channel. The Gimme one Reason Solo on the "more drive" channel, no reverb. No effects pedals. Both played with both pickups on, S1 switch on , ( gives it that dual coil sound that most Tele's don't have)

Sounds nice, I usually don't like teles, but it sounded very good. I have a Washburn X13 (electric). I also have a Washburn, and Ibanez dreadnought acoustic. I am always trying to experiment with new tones, and sounds

I find that Excedrin, tension or migraine sometimes work. Also extensive neck, and back stretching

The Tele is my first electric, but i wouldn't mind adding a Gibson SG...to get that fat, nasty tone and sustain without trying so hard! ( love the Tele twang, though) The acoustic stuff ( I assume you heard before) is a Peavey acoustic with a cutaway; had that for close to 20 years.

Teles definitely have a twang lol. Those Gibsons sound nice and dirty. I would love to have a Frankenstein a bit out of my price range though
