*'Sanctuary' for Us *

Druitt noticed something off still but what was it? She wasn't herself that was for sure but confronting her now would solve nothing he'd watch from the shadows...Maybe the dragon was the cause of it, or maybe she'd simply snapped.

Henry just shrugged, not being much for reading people, that was Will's expertise he was better with tech at least it couldn't lie it worked or it didn't a simple relationship until he had to beat it to death with a wrench just to get something to work "So, anything I should know? or is this a lookalike contest?" He asked peering over his shoulder at the two Helen's.

Oh just Nikola and De Blythe overstepping their bounds when creating the clones for Ashley and Melevan they chose to make another Helen as well but something appears to have gone wrong... Pity... but they will pay for it in their own way in good time.

Now how about we leave the scientists to sort all of this out and lock them down in this area till they do so and you and I get something to eat...

She smiled to him what was it about this young HEP that made her feel such comfort... Hell she revealed to him her fully feline form within the first 24 hours of meeting him. It was that same soulful tender look in his eyes just like James... She could feel the darkness losing its hold when she looked into his eyes. Her smile seemed to shift from a more lethal smile to a softer warmer smile.

Henry smiled back, as they exited the lab "Pardon me my dear," moving to the panel outside the door, tapping in the codes and time lock "the kids are officially grounded." The doors slammed shut and the hum of the EM sheilds as they kicked in, it was procedure whatever went wrong wouldn't get out unless Magnus used the override codes.

"Saw the new guy by the way...real charmer," remembering going over the footage after Druitt locked it up, needed to know what it was before adjusting the cell to hold him "was Kate serious when she said it took two shots to bring him down?" shaking his head in disbelief considering he built the damn thing.

Isis

It did not feel like Kate had it set all that high the first time but yes it took two shots to take both of us down. I was if wereform when she shot us... I was holding our new arrival by the tail and knew I was going to take a blast too especially when it tried using its tail to choke me

She laughed it off looking to him once they were away from everyone she slumped against the wall of the lift and laid her head back with a sigh.

Henry pressed his hand against the wall over her shoulder and looked her in the eye "Sounds like you're disappointed she stepped in." He teased closing in on her a little, keeping what he read to himself for the time being Isis looked a little stressed.

Druitt and I were having fun fighting him but she did what she needed to to protect the loading dock

She smiled slowly feeling herself relaxing a little more there with him. Letting that cold wall crumble a little more she reached a hand to pat his cheek briefly.

Its just been one of those days... Helen told me about James and the Deathspeaker confirmed something for me and Little cub and De Blythe and that Melevan pain in the ass... I am glad we took that little breather back at my home.

"Guess he's just not a morning person...man lizard not Druitt...but I don't spose 'jack the ripper' is much of a morning person either." Smirking at her, "And yeah letting off a little steam, is always a good thing; as much fun as the Sanctuary is...its a bit crazy."

You just have to know how to deal with John... Or be able to survive a mutually dished out and takin ass kicking like he and I have done Henry but... is that all you wanted to talk about? All the potential problems around here today?

She started to push up off the wall but stopped and sank back against the wall.

"I'd rather 'deal' with you, but you've got your own problems by the look of it you don't usually let others bother you so much," he'd risked a slight peck on her cheek...but her question was more serious than that "Was there something you wanted to tell me?"

Jenny looked up at the tall man. "How did you...you appeared out of thin air! Wow!" She circled around him and eyed his form with a touch of admiration, "Are you...an alien? Is...is this a spaceship? I'm honored to make first contact." Jenny said with true commitment to the cause she'd set her heart on since her first episodes of Dr. Who and Star Trek.

She took a deep breath and stood as tall as she could, looking up at the stately man before her she said, "On behalf of the people of the planet we call Earth I greet you. My name is Jennifer Armory. Um...it's a little bit nippy in here. Do you think someone here could get me something to wear? I promise I won't run away. This is all so weird it's totally cool!"

Tesla began laughing at the mix up but was still too busy with the other clones. Both Ashley bodies were sitting up and looking around now. He was hoping against hope the formula had been correct and he'd gotten the right personalities where they needed to be. He still had no clue who this Jenny woman in Helen's clone was but she was funny as hell.

She smiled at the little peck of a kiss... Could she really be that dark and cold right now that she was scaring him enough to act this way.

There are many things I probably should talk about with someone perhaps... I have learned quite a bit over the past couple of days that is a little overwhelming and I am sure that since Declan clearly "followed the rules" and at least scanned the file he found on me in the destroyed Cabal lab and you are the computer genius around here... where did he put the file Henry?

Her cold cruel darkness was losing ground quickly here with him alone like this... and his eyes... what is it about him this kinship or something that calmed her so much around him.

SO do you have anything else to get back to or should we... go relax for a little bit?

Melaven lay in the bed hearing the disturbances going on elsewhere and anxious to be free to defend herself. For the first time in nearly half a millennium she felt free and suddenly realised the ‘pseudo virgin’ had left her. What remained of the body she shared with Ashley was beginning to rapidly decompose and she felt as she did when de Blythe staked her to escape Cromwell’s men.

This time however she felt herself rising above the bed and looking down at the mess she and Ashley had left behind. She sensed another life form near her, a lost soul in seek of a physical body and she could hear a commotion coming from the laboratory. Willing herself into the sterile area she saw de Blythe laying still and motionless with tubes attached to Magnus. The fool had sacrificed himself trying to rescue the good doctor robbing Melaven of the chance of revenge. She saw Ashley in her new clone greeting her mother while another clone, Helen Magnus, awaited a soul. Melaven wanted that one but found the way blocked by another presence. At first she was going to fight but then she saw the body she really wanted, that of Ashley Magnus after the Cabal had modified her. Willing herself into it she felt a spark of life surge through the clone and instantly knew she possessed the powers that made her such a threat to the Sanctuary. She could teleport, see invisible beings and possessed the strength and speed of three vampires.

She heard Helen Magnus ask the question “Who the bloody hell is Jenny Armourey?” Springing to life she began to feel the strength and insight of her own body and was aware of her own nakedness. Breaking out of the chamber she looked at Helen and then saw de Blythe laying in his death throes. From the corner of her eye she saw Isis order the worms to halt his death and felt her anger rising. How dare she deny her the right to see de Blythe die?

Looking at the naked Magnus staggering round she laughed and turned to the real Helen “You ask who she is ‘MOTHER’? I’ll tell you. She’s some fat unfit old cow who did the world the favour by dying but has now been given another body to abuse!” She laughed as she cackled “She can’t believe her luck!” Looking back at de Blythe and then to Isis she said slowly “You let him live and you will regret it for the rest of your life.” Before Isis could think of despatching a worm her way Melaven teleported behind her then in front of her and then beside her. “Come on pussy cat … catch me if you can” she teased again as she moved back into the centre. “I’m gonna get me some clothes and then I’m going hunting.”

Teleporting herself into the centre of Harrods Melaven helped herself to designer sportswear. As the alarms started sounding the young security guard reached out to grab her. In one movement she overpowered him before plunging her fangs into his neck draining his body of life blood. But before disposing of the corpse she deposited some vampire venom into his system. She knew if she started creating vampires across the world she would divert attention from herself and possessing the advanced power the Cabal gave her she would soon be in command of an army.

Next she teleported back to the sanctuary and looked around at the empty office where Magnus worked. With an evil laugh she said to no one in particular “In another month I’ll be running this place!” Then she stopped, took a deep breath and went down to the lab area where she saw Will “Hi big boy!” She said sexually “You wanna show a girl a good time? I got me a new body that no man has dipped his wick in yet. Forget that Victorian frump and enjoy the experience of your life!”

Helen awoke more fully to see total chaios had ensued in the lab. She looked down and swore softly to herself, now the bra which had matched the panties John had stolen from her earlier had been cut in half by de Blythe in his zeal to save her life...She could feel his power running through her body. It was intoxicating to suddenly feel so much more energetic, so strong...But, she was angry he felt he had to die to do this. Another thing had her pretty furious as well...
"NIKOLA! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME DID YOU DO TO ME?!" she yelled.

Jenny and the new Ashley both turned to regard her with alarm but The redheaded, cabal altered, obviously so very much Melaven was gone now having teleported herself somewhere just after saying something obnoxious about Jenny Armory.

Helen stood up now, holding her ruined blouse together with one hand as she approached Ashley, wrapping a nearby sheet around her and hugging her. "Sweetie, it's so good to have you back." she said quickly before rounding on the smug Tesla and decking him, hard. "Never EVER..." her eyes blazed, " You're no longer the man I became friends with and trusted with my life so many years ago, Nikola. Get out of my house. I can't even stand the sight of you right now."

Taken utterly by surprise Tesla had really fallen back hard, onto his ass. "Helen, come on now..."

"Get out, Nikola!" she yelled.

John was pleased to be able to help in this moment. He grasped the lean inventor by the neck and lifted him off the ground. "Now, now, Nikola. Don't be rude. The lady said you've overstayed your welcome." He smiled that wicked, devilish grin and nodded to Jenny and Helen, "I'll be back in a moment, ladies. Let me just put out the trash." and he disappeared with Tesla, leaving a little less craziness in their wake, just a little less.

Helen turned to this clone who called herself Jenny and marveled. "How did you get into that clone?"

Jenny shrugged, "You mean I'm not on an alien ship? You sure? That big man there who appears and disappears like that, he doesn't exactly seem Human."

"What Melaven said..."

Jenny interrupted, "Who, the naked redheaded bitch? I was once fat, yeah. In my last life. This body's pretty spectacular, though. I have no clue what the face looks like yet but I'm really happy with the body. Before my bus was crashed into by that truck I was four foot eleven and one hundred and seventy pounds. I could have used a personal trainer, sure, but a taffy pull to stretch me to this height would've been pretty welcome too. I hated the way I used to look."

Helen nodded, beginning to make some sense of things. "You were a lost soul perhaps, trapped between this realm and the hereafter and you must have been pulled into the body because you were just the closest spirit to it. Very interesting, gives the study of the afterlife a whole new respectable face."

Jenny smiled, "I'm glad I'm not dead, or...if I was, wasn't for long. Although, two years is pretty long to some."

Ashley piped up as she approached and listened to their conversation adding, "If you want to know what sort of face belongs to the body you're raving about...just look at my mother here. It's her face. You are in a clone of her, just a younger version, and blonde."

Jenny looked at Helen and grinned widely, "Wow, thanks. You're really pretty. I, uh...thanks." she said, feeling a little dumb.

No one felt more strange or dumb than Helen as she simply nodded and replied, "You're welcome...and thanks for the compliment. Please take good care of it...the face, the body, you know...me." she said before heading to where Isis crouched over de Blythe's form with a soul worm in hand..."Isis... this isn't the way..."

Helen... enjoy your daughters return and your new twin. Leave problems... like him to me. And forgive Nikola quickly we may need him again sooner than you think.

If the worm could it would draw the spirit back to the body and imprison it there answering for it in full honesty to the one that commanded it or any voice it was told to be honest to.

With that Isis left with Henry

((A little bounce back before the elevator))

"I... I don't have anywhere to go. I'm homeless." she said staring at the floor. She wasn't used to accepting help; on the street she never wanted to look weak. She felt reluctant to let her guard down even when she knew they wouldn't hurt her. She blinked back tears. "Can I stay here, please?" She blushed. She didn't want to be a burden on them. "I can help out and clean and cook. I promise to pay you back however I can"

(Tip: There's too many characters all over the place and readers may not always read author's names first...somewhere in the post use her name.)

Will Zimmerman looked first from Biggie then to Althea and smiled, "We never intended to kick you out. We help abnormals here at the Sanctuary. You may want to do some things around here to help out but it's not required. It might make you feel better to be a part of something."

Biggie nodded, "In the kitchen is a great idea. I could use someone on dish duty now and then." He held up his huge, hairy hands and grunted, "I break many and Magnus has pretty much made it a general rule that I stay away from the really good set unless there's no alternative since I broke two of her mother's tea saucers. We've kept those behind glass for ten years now...But, I digress...Help, good."

Will reached out and patted Althea's hand, noting how stiff she got at the brief moment of contact which made him politely not remain in her space for long. "See? You're more than welcome to stay here. I suggest we have some sessions as well, to help see if we can determine what happened to you. And, for new people we do have a weekly group meeting down in the rec room on thursday afternoons. Kind of a Town Hall thing for Sanctuary, sometimes when there's no issues to discuss it turns into a fun social gathering. It would be good for you to meet other abnormals, get a sense of community. I'll get you an event calender before the end of the day..."

And, just as he was rising to leave a woman apparated just beside him. She looked a lot like Ashley but with a colder expression, red hair, green eyes...and her sneer told him loads before she even opened her mouth, "Melaven." he said, disappointed that they found the awful creature a body to inhabit after all.

Melaven tried to hit on him, some sort of rant only she would think sounded at all attractive. He chuckled and gently shoved her away from him, closer to the open door. "Thanks, but no thanks. I'm working right now and quite happy with the woman in my life already. No more apparating around this place anymore. Get off your lazy ass and walk." he told Melaven, the anoyance seeping into his voice just at the end there.

Helen got Ashley and Jenny organized quickly to move de Blythe to the nearest medical bed where she worked hard at getting him stabilized. "He's alive, but barely. I see no neural activity. I think he's brain dead." she narrated.

This whole situation felt surreal. Helen had to, just to be sure she was real, reached out and touched Ashley's shoulder, then ran a hand through her soft, blond locks, pulling her into a hug. "I'm so amazed it worked! I've missed you so much, darling one." she said to Ashley in the hug.

Jenny felt a little uncomfortable as an outsider to the intimate mother/daughter moment but she managed a polite smile at them before looking at the guy on the table. Who was he? Did he make this all happen?

Helen pulled away from the hug, holding Ashley at arms length to study her a moment and laughed, "Why don't you go ahead and get dressed? You room is just as you left it. You must feel rather uncomfortable in nothing but a thin bed-sheet."

Althea looked at Melaven and then Will. Then she looked at Biggie raising her eyebrows. Althea never liked getting involved in things, but very rarely, if it was hurting someone she liked, she would step in immediately. She saw the look on Will's face, and he didn't seem to pleased about the woman's appearance. She kept quiet though, unsure what this was about. After the woman left she stood and went up to Will."I just want to say thank you for everything. I'd love to help out in whatever way I can." she wasn't sure why, bursts felt like she could trust will. Then she turned to Biggie. There was no need to worry about the images that she sent Biggie, because for the first time in years she felt safe and happy

Biggie grinned as Will shook Althea's hand and promised to return before dinnertime with the calender and some literature on different forms of abnormals, information about the Sanctuary, the usual welcome package for newbies...He said goodbye and was back to business soon. Except, just as he was about to head to his office he was called. Helen wanted to meet with him in her room. He grinned, thankful to see her anywhere but in her room could only mean one thing.

Will knocked on the door and was already unbuttoning the top buttons of his shirt when he stopped in mid-motion at the sight that greeted him upon the door's opening...
Helen stood there looking as if she'd just showered and changed and had a make-up reapplication, the usual after a particularly hard early part of the day...But, beside her stood...another Helen! A woman who appeared almost her exact duplicate in every way except for her hair color.

The brunette Helen stepped forward and pulled Will into a kiss which spoke volumes over how much she must have missed him today. She then gestured to the other woman and said, "Will, I'd like to introduce you to the woman who's spirit took over my clone. This is Jenny Armory. I brought her up here to give her some clothes and explain some things about myself and the Sanctuary to her. She's a little bit incredulous but very excited to learn more. I thought maybe you could include her with some of the newbie group discussions and courses, let her meet some of the Abnormals here. Oh, and she'll need a room of her own."

Jenny grinned, a lovely smile but not at all characteristic of Helen. The closer Will observed the woman as she moved to gather a shopping bag full of clothes her ''twin'' was apparently letting her have for herself he could see it in how she moved as well. This was a whole different person who happened to be in a body not originally designed for her. How interesting, thought Will.

He shook her hand and then promptly began to re-button his shirt, feeling a bit silly for making assumptions. Helen and he shared a brief glance of understanding which told him she'd make time for him today at some point even if it was just to pass out beside him at the end of this hectic, really strange day.

"Well, Helen, once we've gotten Jenny all settled in I have some things you may want to get updated on...and obviously there's a lot I need to catch up on as well. Clones? Really? What the hell did those guys do down there?"

The trio moved to make their way to an empty room, dropped off Jenny's clothes in a really lovely guest room just across the hall from a woman she was told would be helpful to her named Kate and next door to a man named Henry who she was told in passing was a Lycanthrope... She balked, "Seriously? I will be next door neighbors with a...a werewolf? He's a friendly one, right? Obviously, or why else would be be allowed to just roam the place freely? Oh, this is so cool!" exclaimed Jenny excitedly in her accent, so very unlike Helen it was almost comical to Will.

He chuckled as they made their way to give Jenny the introduction tour, "This is going to be fun." he said.

Helen had to laugh herself, "I hope she can handle the truth." she said.

Jenny heard and interjected, "I've been waiting my whole life to find out the truth. You know, I know everything there is to know about the paranormal, mythology, aliens..."

Will and Helen both shared another look. Poor Jenny must've seemed like a total kook in her lifetime. "It's too bad you're instinct to believe probably led you to a great deal of misinformation." Helen noted. "...but, good that you're instinct to believe was right."

They hoped Jenny could handle the reality of a place like The Sanctuary.

Biggie smiled and looked down at Althea, "Would you like a tour? I can show you around."

The Big Guy needed to get Anthea's mind off what was happening and get a grip of his own feelings too. No one had ever wound him up like the Melaven creature and he feared what he might do to her if she really upset someone he cared about.

After taking Anthea round the building he took her to the computer room where he entered the special password few in the network knew. It was time to catch up on events around the globe. The feed from the CSS (Combined Security Services - the best brains from agencies around the globe set up after the Cold War to deal with abnormals, aliens and other strange goings on) told of a vampire attack in Harrods. It seemed a young security guard had attacked and killed two young apprentice girls. Big Guy thought for a moment. The Melaven Creature was wearing designer sportswear when she tried to seduce Will. He told Anthea to take a seat and immediately used the intercomb to call Helen.

"Sorry to disturb you Mistress" he said as her face beamed back onto his iphone. "There's something you need to see. Go to computer programme 5AL." He sent the link to Magnus' account. "I have a bad feeling about this."

He switched over and looked at Anthea "I leave developments like that to the brains to sort out. My speciality is the kitchen. Do you fancy helping me prepare a crab meat special? If you want to get into Dr Magnus' good books give her a regular diet of crab, especially from NYC. She'll purr like a cat!"

With that they left for the kitchen.

Druitt

The wriggling form of Tesla in his grasp Druitt had 'ported' to the most cruel location he could think of, speaking to his former friend "You now I was too hasty when considering tearing out your spine Nikola I think you need time to cool off think about what you've done." They had appeared in the midst of ice and snow, nothing but flat ice as far as the eye could see "Goodbye Nikola."

Porting back with a sadistic smile knowing that he'd just left Nikola somewhere in the Ant-Arctic circle, he'd return...eventually but not after a long hike a short swim and lot of time to think...if he ever figured out where exactly Druitt had dropped him.

Henry

Looking at Isis with a slight grin "That was kinda weird back there."

"OH shit I completely forgot mind coming with me down to the holding cell's I need to recalibrate the containment systems for D-7." They really didn't need scales running around the building right now. "After we can do 'whatever' you wanna do." Trying to cheer her up a little bit maybe he'd build her something...then again she didn't really like tech all that much.

Asteroth

Sitting in his cell cross legged Asteroth had been meditating for the last hour on all he had seen, and how differently these people were dressed. He had been wearing a simple leather wrap belted at his waist and slit up the side, very simple managable. He couldn't truly imagine being confined in so many articles. He had attempted to take as human a form as he could manage whilst wait perhaps catch a gaurd unaware when and if food was brought out.

His wings fused back into his scaled back his talons retracted as were his fangs and tail. His eyes and the short horns gave him away not too mention the scales detailing his flesh, he honestly couldn't remember what he used to look like before this form... It was several thousand years as a dragon demon and monster, in comparison to a short twenty as a simple man.

Isis

Nodding she smiled to him and while they were alone she leaned in hugging him for a moment. The darkness was buried once more as she was calmer... more tender... more human. 180... the caring warm Isis was back with no trace of cold and cruel as she stared into his eyes for a moment.

Yes Thats fine... lets go... then maybe we could talk.

She was crumbling emotionally she was returning to that needing him for whatever reason her mind had... it was a comfort.

Pushing away from the wall and him as the lift opened.

Lets go...

Henry & Asteroth

Taking the lift down to the containment levels, he snuck another kiss before escaping out the doors playfully, he went down the hall to the tool cabinet to grab his things, not worried about going ahead of Isis he wanted to finish this quick he didn't like it down here...

As Henry stepped in front of cell D-7 he remembered why he didn't like it, it was all the angry stares, but this guy was creepy, looking the way he did he expected him to be apcing angrily about his cell but he sat there like a monk just watching with bright dragon like eyes, almost like he was trying to figure out something.

Asteroth kept a close watch on this supposed man...his body heat too high, his scent too animal he spoke breifly "Seachain an madra" meaning 'Beware the dog' in all seriousness he knew this type of creature very well the celts dealt with them on a regular basis, they always had issues with control thusly his statement.

Henry didn't understand the word but knew it was aimed at him "ahhh...I hope that wasn't as sinister as that sounded." Hurrying back to his work so he could leave "Isis? He's talking to me..." Calling out a little nervously hoping she was close.

Isis

Walking over she watched the dragon man...

Interesting...Kate had to shoot both of us twice... strange... she is like Helen never liking setting it high to begin with...

She walked up to the containment field

So Dragon... in a better mood?

She was smiling but it wasn't that cold sinister killer the creature saw before this was a calm and warm as she spoke. She wanted to get him to talk again so she could record what he said and the computer at least pinpoint a remote modern equivalent.

Walking to one of the minor comps she understood this room and how it worked and pressing a few buttons a couple of machines sprang to life and both meat and fruit were placed in the containment with him.
