Ashley and Melaven

Melaven couldn’t believe Will had refused to go to bed with her “You’ll regret that for the rest of your life” she spat as she looked at him “Go to your old woman if you want. Better still there’s a fat slob who looks like her. She needs fucking too. But you’ll never get another chance with me; I’d rather use a cucumber!”

Teleporting out she arrived outside the medical room in time to hear Biggie’s message. Laughing to herself she knew she was going to enjoy life now she was free from the pseudo virgin. But there was one thing she had to do first. Seeing a shaft of wood she grabbed it and while Magnus was looking at the screen she approached de Blythe. “Goodnight Lover” she said as she raised the stake about to destroy him for ever.

Ashley saw what was happening and threw a kettle of boiling water over her former body lodger. When Melaven dropped the stake Ashley grabbed it and snapped it in two. “He might have been evil, probably still is. But he delivered me from you and nearly died to save my Mother.” As she said this she saw Melaven produce her fangs in her mouth. “Come on then!” she challenged “When you’re big enough you’ll be too old!” Grabbing what was left of the wood she continued “There’s enough of this left to finish you!”

“I wouldn’t if I were you” Melaven taunted “We are separate to a point but our spirits now share the same over soul. The instant you die I die. And when I breathe my last your body disintegrates. That’s why lover was working on immortality but now only ‘Premature Ejaculation’ knows how to achieve that and no one knows where he is.”

Ashley knew immediately Melaven was telling the truth and cursed under her breath. “OK, but I won’t let you kill him” she pointed at de Blythe “We all owe him too much.” As she spoke she heard her Mother gasp as she saw the report the Big Guy had called her about.

Seeing the reaction Melaven took a deep breath and said “Time for dinner” with those words she teleported away looking for a victim to feed on and then turn. She was going to wreak havoc on the Magnus foundation and she had only just begun.

Kate

Walking in she caught Melevan and Ashleys words to each other. Once Melevan left she looked to Ashley.

Sounds like we need to go get Tesla and then let Isis or Big guy finish off psycho bitch once Nikola has finished breaking you two apart... Or could those nasty little soul worms Isis had brought here break the connection?

Kate was over it all and shooting the creature and Isis with the Electro rifle only served to entice her own temper... she needed to get out to the rifle range or something and just get target practice or something.

Where is Fang's anyway?

Asteroth & Henry

"An dubh cat." 'the black cat' he spoke as if it were more a question, Asteroth watched her as she went about using the strange tablet, magically producing food, a fearsome creature that he had not the pleasure of fighting but knew of their kind, his time in egypt was short lived though he'd earned a name for himself there aswell, "Buìochas buìochas," saying thanks to the black cat he nodded rising to his full height.

Henry too asborbed into his work, and not generally wanting to look over there. his voice still cold and untrusting but he wasn't about to start a fight on the disadvantage, besides by the look and smell of her she had known bloodshed something he could respect, though her reasons could be far from lordable, he would have to watch carefully.

Isis

Glancing to the machine as it ran one work across the screen...

Gaelic... interesting... can't say that I think we have anyone here with any understanding of the language but I am sure that there is something in the computers that can translate.

Thinking for a moment

Henry... How difficult would it be to fix one of the tablets to translate what he is saying? The computer clearly understand the language now all we need is for it to be able to tell us what it knows without our having to read it all and turn our backs on the dragonic one.

She understood some of the equipment but his expertise would be a wonderful help... more help to this place than she could be but that was neither here nor there. She watched the dragon while waiting for Henry's answer.

She had heard stories in her Himalayan home... Her people were reclusive and found the ancient mountains a sure way to keep away from everyone but Isis however loved traveling... brought about in part by her captivity as a child in the traveling sideshow and then with Helen and her father Gregory and then the 5 and her own self inflicted isolation for a time. She had heard of the dragonic abnormals but the closes she had ever run across was the serpent men this creature seemed just as surly but a bit more refined.

Asteroth & Henry

Henry was still working on the power regulation, a wild spark making him jump back a moment "DAMN that stings," and that was at half power he lost feeling in his arm a moment there "well, we could set up a basic interface, but we'd have to link directly into the database and..." struggling with a loose connection inside the wall panel "and have the audio buffers seek out the right audio input...yada yada yada long story short yeah but its a little tricky considering I don't know if he can understand what we're saying so knowing what he's saying may not be of much use." Exiting the wall panel he opened his case he always had a spare tablet in hand kept getting new ones upgrading or just breaking some of the old ones.

Asteroth watching closely, at the little dog-mage tapped away at his glowing tome, even the black cat seemed familiar with this magic...how was it that they understood how to use it? He took an apple from the pile biting into it as he approached the barrier looking at all the oddities presented, finally looking back up to Isis "Cad é sin? Cad mhaise e se?" asking 'what is that? what year is it?' His curiosity was getting the best of him now pacing trying to look from another angle.

Isis

She smiled to Henry Don't worry with it for now then Henry... I am sure we will find a way to speak with him even if its just you Big Guy and I that can talk to him.

Gesturing that she did not understand she then growled in the ancient tongues of the animals to their Dragonic visitor.

~Perhaps if you spoke like this if you understand this we could have basic communication.~

Henry shrugged and went back to work in short order preying he didn't get zapped again.

Asteroth tilted his head curiously vaguely recalling that tongue, he hadn't used that in nearly two-thousand years ~it seems not all things are forgotten with time, I have not heard this tongue in a very long time, answer my questions and I will answer yours 'eye for an eye as it were'... what year is it?~ Asteroth was more intrigued by this question than any other but maintained his stubbourn code of 'eye for an eye' not only in punishment but for all things, his was of balancing the world beyond exterminating bloodsuckers.

Isis

2011 AD... What is your purpose... Reptilians tend to be creatures of assigned purpose...

She glanced to Henry hoping he was alright... yet another thing to take time away from them not that they have had much that they did not steal form other situations but still.

Her eyes went back to the creature awaiting its answer and question.

Asteroth, grumbled and hissed as he tunred his anger to the stone wall cleaving a deep gash into it those dirty bloodsuckers stole nearly 400 years from him. Only to stop himself...breath close his eyes and return his gaze to the black cat ~I hunt...unnatural things, I 'used' to capture creatures like you, and the dog~ casting his eyes down to Henry who happened to look up at that moment.

"Was he just talking about me?"

~My creator is what I hunt now, so tell me where is the vampire?~ his voice hardening at the mere mention of the word 'vampire'.

That darkened side of her smirked... her eyes darkened her very soul darkened hearing that this creature hunted their kinds.

Yes Henry he was... apparently he used to hunt our kinds for some vamipre that created him... Ohhh Nikola should have fun with this one... or Johnny boy could burn out some rage tearing it apart.

Turning back to the Dragonic she smirked as she growled.

You will get no vampire from this place...None from here created you and you will not harm an innocent in our Sanctuary. Now Who created you? I want a name

Thinking to herself though...

The vampire here... question is which one? Neither are old enough to have created ... him and there is only one I would consider friend enough to prevent him from attacking out of petty anger and stupidity... as for the other one that is up to Helen when and if he dies... though there is Melevan... I strangely doubt any would care if she died... Question would be was she willing to be "nice" enough to let this creature take out the vampire she viewed as prey as well.

Henry didn't like the sound of that but pretended he didn't hear and just kept thinking 'as soon as I get this done he wont be able to get out'.

Asteroth kept his rage in check, it had been his failing many times in the past ~I still live... I owe you a life if you use it to spare blood-sucking vermin~ he sighed shaking his head in disdain, but it was only fair to abide.

~Name? I once called him Wise King Solomon, my days of serving him fell with Babylon~ The memories of all those screaming fanged freaks he ripped apart brought warmth to his cold blood, he had no taste for hunting unnaturals itwas ...simply his duty to his king.

He moved to his next question ~What is this place? I assumed it a vampire den but haven't seen a single one but their 'magic' still riddles its hallways.~

Big Guy.... told Anthea to take a seat and immediately used the intercomb to call Helen.

"Sorry to disturb you Mistress" he said as her face beamed back onto his iphone. "There's something you need to see. Go to computer programme 5AL." He sent the link to Magnus' account. "I have a bad feeling about this."

He switched over and looked at Anthea "I leave developments like that to the brains to sort out. My speciality is the kitchen. Do you fancy helping me prepare a crab meat special? If you want to get into Dr Magnus' good books give her a regular diet of crab, especially from NYC. She'll purr like a cat!"

With that they left for the kitchen.

Helen and Will had been showing Jenny the main area of habitats and living quarters for some of the Sanctuary's abnormals who couldn't sleep and live comfortably in quarters designed for humans.

Jenny was very excited. This was like a dream come true! She had a ton of questions too. But, just as she opened her mouth to form a question when Helen's intercom interface on her phone came to life and someone requested her presence. Helen looked at something on the tiny screen and her eyes widened, she showed Will over her shoulder and then they both apologized, hurrying off.

Jenny was content to explore on her own anyway so she didn't mind if the nice couple had work to do. She stood before the mermaid's tank, admiring the beautiful creature and thinking about how strange life can be.

Isis

This place is called Sanctuary it is safe haven to all kinds that need it. ALL here are expected to act with respect and while there are those who chose not to abide that respect there are those like me that...

She laughed an almost venomous laugh briefly before continuing...

Deal with problems.

She listened to his words... Ohh yes she thought Tesla should have fun with this one... Or he should be guarded form Tesla she was not sure yet.

You will show respect to those here unless the head of this Sanctuary or for now we will say myself tells you your anger has a target. Till then NO attack on anyone will be tolerated provided you prove worthy of time out of this habitat.

Henry are you nearly done? We should inform Magnus of our guest and his apparent linguistic needs.

Harrod's London (a few hours after the text ):

Helen and Will waited on opposite ends of the department store's menswear department, moving silently from rack to rack, slowly converging upon the mindless, blood-thirsty killing machine Melaven had created. Helen had gotten officials to clear out the whole store and her own forces were around the place, on loan from Declan's Sanctuary, dressed up as police so they could hopefully spin this later for the public to be a simple case of a deranged killer and put the whole blood-sucking vampire business out of people's minds with consistent overkill of the idea that the police have it all under control...

She caught Will's eye from across the aisle, now very close to the newborn vampire, feasting on the entrails of the menswear assistant manager. The poor girl looked as if she was no older than twenty-one, her head now lolling lifelessly at an unnatural angle, the scent of her blood and fear permeated the place even to the dull senses of a human. Helen imagined to vampires this scent must absolutely intoxicate. That made her feel a little bit ill to consider.

One nod from her and both had guns raised. She put up three fingers and counted down, mouthing the words as she went Three...Two...One! And, they both pounced, first shooting him down, then staking him through the heart for extra assurance he was dead. Helen watched with the pride of a teacher to her student as she watched Will break off the excess of the stake with one hand, holstering his weapon with the other. He was getting used to the grim side of the job and she kind of found his ease with the situation sexy probably because she could recall a time not too long ago when even being in the same room with a vampire would have made him balk uneasily.

Helen smiled proudly at him and then they got to work on wrapping both bodies up, ensuring their police cover was safely still working, they carried the bodies out to a Sanctuary truck mocked up to look like an ambulance. She trusted Declan and his connections to be able to clean up the minor mess and media interest this murder spree had caused. The story they were going with was that the madman had a hostage inside the building and during the exchange he was so afraid of going to prison for his crimes he shot his hostage and himself before the police could stop him. Department Manager Angel Creevey would be raised up as a local hero to the press, the brave woman who had been taken hostage by a crazed killer, who'd remained calm even after the horrors she'd seen him commit, her life sadly taken from her in the last moment just when the police were securing her freedom. A tragic story, yes, but easier for people to swallow than a vampire killing seven victims in Harrods Department Store.

When it was all over and they were driving away with the bodies in the ''ambulance'' Helen finally spoke out loud to Will, "We're going to have to do something about that Melaven." she said grimly.

Kate and Declan

Kate got the info and transferred it all over to Declan who immediately went to the tele conference room and quickly found himself surrounded by monitors and holigraphic imaging of all of the Sanctuary heads as he filled them in on the Melevan situation and the potential of vampires popping up and as always spin the most sane believable covers they could use all resources at their disposal and if anyone happens to be lucky enough to catch her contact Helen immediately.

All the monitors closed down except one that held a face that had resemblance to Isis.

I have spoken with the council back home... they will offer only one audience with As they called her the Betrayer and her outsider family. Brother said someone arrived after Isis was cast out and had a heated and long talk with the elders and they changed their tune to a point about her and the offspring that she had carried.... She may not wish to go but it might be a good thing if she did or all of you did... the council now holds more young who understand the need for outsiders existance and aid. There are still those old ones like Father but...

Declan nodded and quickly shushed her and ended the call as Kate walked back in.

So who was that? And we may soon have another situation to cover up.

Just a contact with some minor problem and request from one of the Abnormals from their regions that had nothing important for now... far too much going on so they will have to wait a while if assistance has to come from here.

He smiled to her... All in a days work I believe the saying is?

Kate smiled and nodded. Yeah something like that. Declan... we... we should talk one of these days...

Declan smiled... I know Kate thank you for all your help There are many things that couldn't run as smoothly around here is if were not for you.

The Big Guy took the message from Will telling him the events at Harrods. After replacing the receiver he turned to Anthea "I think they will need a shower and change of clothes before dinner. If you would help me lay the tables I'll go and find Ashley and the one they call Jenny."

Calling the two girls together he said "We are going to have to eat together before Dr Magnus tells us what is needed to stop the Melaven creature causing havoc. Please put on some evening clothes and help me make her feel comfortable. "

After Magnus and Will returned and bathed Big Guy called them into the dining room. "Madam, dinner is served" he said and saw Helen's face light up to see the crab. "Specially imported from Maine USA" he said as he beckoned Anthea to assist him.

Henry & Asteroth

Finally finishing his work Henry slid out from the wall panel not bothering to look the dragon in his eyes, 'maybe I just don't like big lizards' he thought to himself "Ok thats it, I think the Big guy made dinner," he told Isis "but we could always skip out and got to desert." He grinned.

Asteroth saw the whole thing, sitting back down with legs crossed he needed time to think anyway mull things over... he didn't reply about the 'cats' demands of not harming anyone within these walls, he saw no reason in it though the bloodsuckers had it coming either way he saw it.

Druitt & Will

Having returned from the refreshing icy expanse Druitt was happier with himself than usual, thinking about Tesla trudging through the ice and snow cursing his name all the while, it was almost worth not being allowed to kill him.

Finding the returning pair fresh from a vampire hunt Druitt stared down will but his gaze soften at the sight of Magnus "It's been quite hectic hasn't it Helen."

Will had a hard time reading it but had a feeling that Druitt was talking about something more than the cloning business, and the vampire attack "John...what did you do?" he dared to ask.

"Nothing, I've only just returned...Lets just say Tesla is cooling off, and I feel much better." John returned his gaze back to Helen "Turn out you now have a dragon in your basement." He blurted it out wondering if she had found out yet.

Isis

She looked dead at the dragonic.

Until you give your vow that you will not harm any in this Sanctuary Including vampires... you will remain right where you are...

Glancing to Henry she smiled. Dinner or dessert sound fine Henry...

She turned ignoring the dragon... He was sealed and untill he agreed to terms set out he was of no use to her.

Lets go.

At dinner Helen and Will had just returned from their trip to help subdue the crazed vampire in London and Helen had found that Biggie had a new helper with him. Will introduced Althea to everyone assembling at the table. She said a friendly hello to Althea as well then introduced Jenny, her clone, and Ashley in her new body to the rest of the group. Over dinner, it appeared, they'd have a lot of catching up to do. It had been the busiest day at the Sanctuary in a long time.

As John appeared and took the seat to her left, across from Will who sat to Helen's right, they smiled at one another warily. Druitt seemed to have a joke on his mind he wasn't telling anyone yet.

He then announced there was a dragon in the basement.

Helen took a double take, "What? Wait a minute...I think we ALL need to catch each other up on today's events because there's a lot of new people in this house and things going on I've been unaware of. I don't like not knowing what's happening under my own roof. John, you start, then the rest of you in order around the table." She turned to Biggie gratefully and indicated he sit too now that he'd prepared such a lovely meal, "Friend, thank you for this lovely meal. Let's begin...John?"

Druitt, Will & Henry

"Well turns out we had a late night delivery," Druitt eating as if it wasn't at all that important "a sarcophagus, Isis knows more on the how and why, but yes inside was what I can best describe as a dragon." Looking around to see the stunned faces "After subduing the monster I took the liberties of collecting a few samples, blood, skin, bone and locked it up in containment downstairs."

"THE FAULTY one..." Henry blurted out "I saw the thing, he's downright creepy if I hadn't fixed the power regulating containment wouldn't work on this guy, you should see the sarcophagus tore through two inches of iron like paper!" Henry wasn't happy about it and he was over stating just a 'little' but he was getting a point across.

"Druitt, You took samples without consent what if it's sentient? monster or not it has rights!" Will wasn't about to throw down with Druitt over the ethical breach but made his voice heard in the very least.

"It wasn't in a cooperative mood, ask Kate she shot it...twice." Druitt grinning not being the only one that would get an earful from Magnus. "But from a short glance or two, it 'used' to be human but has traces of vampire DNA meaning its a man made abnormal like Magnus, Tesla and myself."

Kate

Yeah... Following orders the rifle was not set too high and it took one as your requested setting boss and then at safety max before it got knocked out. Again Isis sorry...

She went back to her food sharing Henry's sentiment about this thing being creepy.

Isis

Nothing to worry about Kate... and yes its Dragonic... apparently Good King Soloman was a vampire according to this thing and was his creator... It was used to hunt abnormals and now it hunts vampires...

As calm as ever and that edge of cold but more the kind Isis.

This sarcophagus had the Black marketeers up in arms and I simply blocked all of them with a little help from an old friend... A favor granted a favor owed... all that rubbish. SO how goes everything with Ashley and the Psycho Bitch... Wanting Melevan killed off yet Helen?

She glanced to Big Guy

Wonderful job as Always my friend.

Lyda

She had been hunting them... all of them... drawn to the graves of the fallen and learning what she could about the others... Why did she fear these 5 old relics... when clearly Dr Abbyn should have feared her... The injections were the only good that came from that pathetic mortal... but she had managed to shred her equipment and people for all the answers she needed for now...

Stepping from the overloaded overdecorated bus she smiled to old man who drove this fiasco on wheels She had her bags with her as she made her way to the gates of this "spa" one of them called home... how entertaining the one that was least sun friendly had a "Spa" in the most sunlit little corner of no where Mexico. Sunglasses slipping over her eyes as she made her way through the gate and up the long driveway with her bags until spotting a gardener and within a few moments had the young man more than willing to die for her much less carry her bags up the driveway to the main door and call for a porter for her.

She would hide her presence for a couple of days watching the little ego with fangs as the strange old man called him. The old man was strange... she could not bring herself to manipulate him... He simply gave her a couple of names and that they were both too smart for their own good... one humble one an ego with fangs... then the old man was gone... a dream perhaps but she had little care for finding out for now.

Althea hurried to help Biggie, smiling. It felt good to be somewhere safe, knowing where her next meal was coming from, and having people she could rely on. She noticed some unfamiliar faces, but saw that Biggie trusted them. She sat down next to him and Will listening to the conversation.

She heard some talk about a dragon, and nearly choked on her food. "There are... Dragons?" she said surprised. She hadn't been expecting this but it only made her more excited

Ashley

Ashley joined the others at the dinner table remembering that when she was last there the Melaven side of her nature had wound up the big guy so much he had put her across his knee. Although she was grateful for de Blythe and Tesla helping her get the separation she was never going to be totally free from evil Tudor. After the meal she shared her concerns with the others. “The problem is if you kill her you kill me. Now if it gets completely out of hand and the only way to stop her is to kill me then you must do it. I shared a body with her and believe me she is evil.”

Melaven

In Lincoln Melaven stood outside a hospital waiting for her next victim. As she waited she saw a young medical student get into his car. Teleporting across she stood in front of the vehicle and as the young medic got out Melaven held his gaze and induced a hypnotic trance. The trainee doctor invited her into the car and drove to a deserted spot. There Melaven fed on his blood before creating another vampire.

Teleporting out she arrived in a television studio where she found herself facing a fashion editor writing the final draft of a programme to be beamed live the next day. After draining the victim of blood she used her venom to ensure the species had yet another member.

After completing her meal she re materialised in the old disused church where Tesla often spied on Magnus and waited to see the response her outrage would invoke in the Sanctuary network. As she rested to absorb her nourishment she thought to herself that life just got better and better and soon she would be in a position to dictate terms to the Victorian Mistress.

First Isis glanced to Althea and smiled.

You will learn of the realities that humans veil in myth legend and mystery... in time I am sure.

Then looking to Ashley... we will find a way around that little connection Ashley... I may already have some ideas.

In the back of her mind she had been pondering the soul worms or a deathspeaker. With what she could ask of them it might cost Isis a few Yeats of her own life or worse but to free Ashley and truly reunite mother and daughter without fear of Melevan it would be almost worth it.

All through the meal, Jenny listened intently, only occasionally smiling at someone in a friendly way or trying not to, ''Wow!" too loudly when she realized these people were BIG TIME and they knew their shit. Even more-so, they knew about beings she could only have ever dreamed about before. Jenny felt extremely lucky today. She was even almost comfortable with Bigfoot sitting at the table. She found the tall, bald one who had the power to appear and dissappear places at will was occasionally staring at her as he talked with the others and ate his food. She nearly grew bashful over the attention and near oogling but after a moment she would recall that she was no longer short, fat, and homely. She was tall, athletic, curvaciously thin and gorgeous! This made her force herself to hold the eye contact sometimes and smile his way a little more than perhaps decent.

His response was wonderful He seemed really chuffed at her silent attention and all of his non-verbal cues told her he was definitely into her right now. How fun! Jenny thought to herself, not even a bit worried about the possibility of a dragon in the basement. "I'd love to see this dragon man when you all think it'll be safe enough." she said, feeling a little stupid after she'd said it.

The bald one, she learned, was named John. John Druitt. Jenny wondered aloud to him, "Where have I heard your name before? I've heard it somewhere before..."

He seemed slightly embarrassed so she didn't push the topic. They ended up discussing accents and language together for a while instead. It wasn't until someone at the table made some reference to Tesla...

"Yes, what ever happened to Tesla?"

... and John replied, "He needed a cooling off period. I provided one...in Antarctica."

and the collective groan went around the table (at John's actions or pun, Jenny couldn't tell)...Jenny hadn't recalled where her memory of the name had come from until another person who's name had fallen out of her brain the moment it was said had snarked something to insist the world is no longer Druitt's 'Whitechapel' and he needed to show some restraint with his anger toward people...that Jenny realized who this John Druitt was.
"Montique John Druitt...one of the suspects in the Jack the Ripper case...Oh, OH! Oh, my God!" she said. She glared at the short Indian woman's laughter at her outburst. "I had no idea...Wow!" she said softly.

John looked somewhat embarrassed. Jenny smiled his way, "It's ok...um...I mean, it was a long time ago." she mumbled before taking a HUUUGE swig of wine. She was disturbed at how sexy she found him before and how much more sexy he seemed to her now that she knew he had a dark past...
