*'Sanctuary' for Us *

Declan
He had moved the cabinet just in time for the after shock to drop the damaged floor beneath himself and the gurney landing with a thud and the case landing on his leg once more. This time completing the job of breaking his leg as well as tossing the gurney on its side completing the awakening if even for a brief moment of its occupant. He saw Worth's eyes open then close once more probably knocked out from impact. Then he saw Isis... Trapped as well with a large section of what appeared to have been a wall pinning her leg to the ground. Her eyes were strange both sides might very well have been working together in there as she snarled hissing... no matter what side was there she was in primal mode and a wounded animal had the potential of being a deadly animal so he first tried to speak to her.

Isis... Its Me its Declan...

Isis

She had avoided the beam due to De Blythe and her daughter but she had not dodged the chunk of wall. Now pinned she growled trying to shift to escape being pinned. Hearing Declan she snarled a warning then she smelled blood growling more watching Melevan get closer.

Henry
"Lyda, honey, we can't find your mother right now because she's in another room and we can't get there right now. I'm working on finding a way to get to her and the others. sanctuary has suffered some kind of earthquake and we're all trapped sweety."
All the talk Henry felt he had to bring his dialogue down to a child's language as she was acting like one, so he tried it. Hopefully it would work.

Will
He waited patiently for a response from Tesla and he heard Henry squak over a radio.
He looked around for a radio and tried it. "Henry is that you?"

Lyda

She looked at him for a moment her eyes looked strange as she almost studied him. It was like both the scared child from Dr Abbyn's monstrous "training" and the very much James Watson's daughter were both in control of the mind as she finally spoke

Mother will undoubtedly in her mentally strained condition attack anyone that finds her and I doubt that many of them will truly be capable of withstanding such an attack like you or I and anyways we are still trapped within this test earthquake or not. We have no option but to get out of here before the dark clouds begin seeping in attempting to kill us.

Henry
"Will, yea it's me. Listen, I've got lyda here with me and she's gone into some kind of ummm-state i think is how you say it. I don't know what to do. I'm trying to calm her down but she keeps freaking out. She's talking about wanting her mother and referencing past memories. What does it all mean?"

Will

Listening to Henry's description, he thought carefully and then thought of a procedure to walk him through.
"Henry, it sounds like Lyda is claustrophobic and is regressing to a younger mental age to cope with it. I'm going to talk you through it. The first thing is to maintain your cool and then just start talking. Ask her what her mother was wearing when she saw her last, what did she do yesterday. I'm trying to ascertain how deep the regression has gone."

Lyda

She tilted her head watching him speak into the radio puzzled. Dr Abbyn never allowed anything like that in the tests... strange. While he was clearly distracted she began to move away from him again sniffing at the air adn leaping at random debris testing what had give and what did not to ascertain possible escape paths Partially shifting forms with each leap so that impact would be soft enough to not bring anything down but still solid enough to see if anything moved out away from her

Henry
"Lyda, can you tell me what your mother was wearing today?" He was cringing as he asked. He hoped will was right.

Lyda

For which part of the day? MOther was half shifted for a great portion of the day but then again Dr Abbyn is always in full medical outfitting when we are testing. Then more was in jeans and a top... Why?

Tesla watched the blood seep as Ashley moved and he could see that she was wounded. "William...we may have a problem. Ashley's been hurt." he said, swallowing back the long disciplined urge to snap her neck like a little bird and drink from the font of her wound while it was still warm...No. He was at least going to attempt to be a gentleman. He would not kill humans unnecessarily. His one dalliance with it never lasted long past the first few years of his vampirism during Victorian times. He would not be a monster anymore. "William, triage, first wounds, then escape."

Ashley Magnus

Hearing Tesla Ashley whispered loudly “Nikola … please … please promise me. If … I don’t … if I die … promise me you’ll care for our baby. Tell her … tell her her Mum loved her …” She waited for his reply and hoped against hope for some kind of a rescue.

Melaven Clone

Calling out the clone of Melaven said “I don’t know who you are or what’s wrong. But if I can save you I will.” Turning to Imogen she said “Someone over there needs us.”

Roger de Blythe

Sensing Isis somewhere around de Blythe called out “Isis … Isis I know you and I are sworn enemies but that can’t apply now. This place is going to explode and you and your daughter will die. I won’t, I have managed to master the problem of cellular regeneration so even if I die it will only be for seconds. Please … let my friend and I get you and Lyda out of here.”

He waited for the response and hoped he would be able to rescue them.

Declan

Hearing De Blythe he called out. We are over here... Isis appears to be wounded... trapped... I don't see Lyda.

He kept talking to the snarling Isis trying to get her to focus and calm till of all people De Blythe could get over here to help. The cosmos must be conspiring against someone to trap those two in the same place with him unable to really stop them if they finally fight.

Isis

She heard Declan sniffing at the air she hissed again smelling the fumes. Then she heard De Blythe and a roar rumbled deep from her. Her eyes narrowed watching Declan her eyes finally revealing Worth to her as well she snarled deep. Golden feline eyes becoming more like a burnt gold deep hue and twice as cold.

Declan

He called out to De Blythe.

One suggestion... be very careful coming over here I think we have lost our sane Isis for that darkness again or hopefully just a wounded Feline on edge about so many people around.

Roger de Blythe

The irony of the situation wasn’t lost on de Blythe but this was not the time to score hollow points. Isis was injured and Lyda was missing and this had to take priority. “I know she can do me some damage” he said to Declan but it won’t be permanent. Despite everything I am a doctor and my patients come first. Now if I lift the rubble that’s holding her can you place this round her neck?” He handed a sheet that had dropped from a floor above and could now be twisted into a neck brace. “My priority is to ensure that any spinal injuries are not permanent. Once I’ve secured her we can see if there has been any blood loss.”

Slowly de Blythe moved to the collapsed wall and was grateful it was still in one piece. Addressing Isis he said “You mustn’t struggle. Not until I can see what has happened to you.” With a quick lunge and a grunt the vampire used his strength to raise the debris that had trapped his enemy. “Now Declan” he said “secure her neck.”

Declan

He did what he could to move the case cabinet off his leg and pull himself over to her doing what he could to secure Isis talking to her as he went.

We are going to help you... Trust me that I will not let De Blythe do anything to harm you. Now that your neck is wrapped I have to try to splint my leg but I am still right here near you Isis.

Isis

Hissing she watched Declan the human had never done anything beyond what had to be so for now this situation contained Declan she would have some trust fighting her urge to want to shred De Blythe. She pointed to Declan's leg and snarled a little.

Declan

I am fine... lets make sure your secure and not damaged too badly. All I have is a broken leg I will be fine. So head count... we appear to have Isis Myself Worth you and who else?

Roger de Blythe

Breaking two legs off of an already broken chair de Blythe lobbed them to Declan together with some wire that used to flex a computer link. “Use these for your splint. I’ll get to you after I’ve ensured Isis is going to be ok.”

As he spoke the next aftershock rumbled beneath them and more plaster from the walls came tumbling down. Calling to the Melaven Clone de Blythe said “This is no time to be formal. I don’t have a name for so I’ll call you ‘Mel’ for short until we can think of something else.” Looking at Isis he said “I know you hate me and I know you hate Melaven. But this young lady might look like her but she is the absolute opposite.” Pointing at her he said “I’m sending her to you with a bar of iron. She needs to secure it behind you to stop the ceiling collapsing on you. It won’t stop it happening but it should buy us time while we wait for rescue.” Looking at Declan he said “I could teleport out of here with Mel and with Imogen but the vibration could bring the whole structure down.”

Mel

“I quite like that name” the clone said “gives me chance to show that it is only my cellular structure that resembles my source.” Moving over she passed within reach of Isis “I’m trusting you” she said “I need to get over there.” Once in position she wedged the bar firmly against the roof. As she left it in place she saw the shock on Declan’s face as she knelt beside Isis. “If there is anything I can do for you? … I want to help.” She realised she was completely vulnerable to attack and she didn’t know for certain if she had the regenerative power de Blythe had. Waiting she said again “I want to help you if I can.”

Isis

Isis eyes darted between De Blythe Mel and Declan who kept a stern eye on the situation. She growled low only due to her injury for now as there were no threatening actions around her.

Lyda... Where is Lyda.

Declan

Good Isis let them help I will get over there as soon as I can.

He began doing what he could with the chair legs and wire doing what he could to stabilize his leg. Looking over to De Blythe nodding.

Your teleportation and John's are close but the spectrum on his is more confined hopfully the old boy is still here. Though I will bank money on Kate and Big Guy right now all but throwing the debris away to... rescue us unless abnormals got loose and then the deadly ones come first.

He quickly changed the subject.

Isis... I am sure Lyda is fine... in fact since you and Lyda and Henry were together and you are here they must be trapped together too so thats a good thing they will do all they can to rescue everyone.

Adam Worth

Finally waking up he looked round.

Well Well what chaos have your brought our friends this time Roger old Boy?

He tried to move and froze seeing Imogean.

Imogean?

Tesla:
Nikola laughed mockingly, holding the baby close, tying her up into a make-shift sling created from extra length of bed-sheet. "Sorry, Ashley-dear, you'll have to tell her that yourself. If I let you die here she'll never forgive me. I can't have that. I won't give your mother more reasons to hate me. Besides, little Nikole is going to need her milk source close at hand. Do not give up on life yet."

He and Will both got to work on trying to wrap the wound as best they could, glass and all. It was better than the alternative, removing it and watching her bleed to death. "We need to try to get the hell out of here but I'm not sure how quickly we'll move with these two.'' he said, indicating Ashley Magnus and their newborn. ''I don't suppose you'd trust me to return for you if I took the baby and tried to climb out on my own?'' he asked hopefully, watching Will's face for a clue as to his reaction to this suggestion.

Magnus & Druitt:

''Careful, Helen.'' John said, automatically feeling protective over her as he helped her to sit so he could try to assess the damage to her arm. ''It looks like it's your shoulder. If you'll let me try maybe I can...pop it back in.'' he suggested.

''Well...won't be the first pain you've caused me. I guess it's better if it's for the greater good this time.'' Helen quipped, noting the quickly covered up shock of pain that flitted across his features at the reminder of their long, sordid past.

"I'll do my best to be gentle, dear Helen.'' John said dryly, face dead-pan even as he was more than aware of having said these words the very moment before he took her virginity back when she was just a young lady of twenty; Even then, a woman of the world, intelligent, fiercely independent, pioneering and brave...But, for that one moment when they had been skin to skin, alone in her bed she'd also looked a tad bit vulnerable. That night, they'd promised themselves to one another and in the wake of such youthful fervor her eyes were glowing with the fire of lustful anxiousness and yet at the very last second a glimmer of fear silently plead with him to be careful with her, not just her body but her heart as well...He'd damaged so much of that early trust perhaps irrevocably. Over a century had passed and he still could never break even...All the times he'd hurt her seemed immeasurable in comparison to the times he'd protected and aided her.

She braced herself, biting down on a random thick-spined book grabbed in haste but still the quick crackling pop of her joint being re-filled with the boney part that belonged there was agonizing and a loud scream escaped her throat. Druitt apologized through gritted teeth as he did it only satisfied when he saw the movement was somewhat restored but her quickly blood drained expression also showed him how much it still hurt and she grimaced bravely through it but he felt nothing but terrible guilt, letting go quickly to tear at the back of his own suit jacket, creating a triangle out of it which he tied over her right collar-bone, a sling to cradle her tender left arm and keep it somewhat immobile. "There. I'm sorry it hurts. I hope this will help a little." he said softly as she sighed and tossed the book into a pile of rubble, struggling to stand once more.

"Can you...?" she asked, about his ability to teleport but before the question was finished she watched him shake his head in answer. ''The whole structure is too unstable, I gather.''

''Not just that. I genuinely can't get further than that wall. I've tried!'' John admitted in exasperation. ''I don't know why but it's as if my power has been shut down, dulled at least.''

''We weren't far from the generators for some of the Sanctuary's power, including the E.M. shielding. Perhaps the quake caused something to go wrong with the equipment as well. Maybe some of the shield is still intact but in this pocket only.'' she suggested.

''How lucky for us!'' exclaimed John sarcastically. ''So, I suggest we try to climb out, do you prefer up or down?''

She looked down and then upwards, "I'd like to get out. Up might be the best way...But, I also want to know what happened to the rest of the med-lab. Ashley, the baby, Will..."

''...Asshole-the-Radio-Vamp, yes, they're all likely still down there. But, Helen, we're in no position to mount rescue operations just yet. First let's get up to the outside world and assess the damage to The Sanctuary as a whole, and get rescue teams here.''

''I know, I know you're right John. But, that's my family down there.''

"...and it isn't mine? You have more claim to that girl and that baby than I do?"

"I raised her."

''Only because you kept her hidden from me.''

''Only because I found out you were a psychopathic serial murderer and rapist!''

''That wasn't totally me!''

"John!"

''Helen!''

She was so angry she could have split his head open right there but instead she kicked the cabinet remains which had been protecting her during the quake and then focused on deep breathing to calm down. "John, let's focus on getting out. I don't want to argue with you over the past. We could keep that up for ages and it would never get us anywhere."

He frowned deeply and nodded in curt response but replied, ''Helen, just tell me this. Don't you even sometimes wonder what life would have been like...if you hadn't tried to kill me, if you hadn't run away?''

She shuddered, recalling some of their best of times, her panties moistening at the memory...but soon after she also recalled the darkest periods in their time together and the palpable fear she'd felt, remaining in hiding and on the run while raising their daughter, years of terror he might find them, hurt them...''John...don't. Let's just try to get out of here.''

He sighed. Would she ever be able to let the past go? "I'll always love you. The monster in me may have ruined so much but I will always remember once I was loved by you as well and it was pure love, it was...perfect. You may have forgotten but I never will." He began mounting things atop one another to form a sort of climbing frame up the wall and added, ''Now, let's get down to the business at hand.''

Ashley Magnus

“Excuse me!” Ashley said through the pain “It’s not a matter of trust. I want my baby, OUR BABY to be safe. And if that means you leaving me then that’s how it should be.” Turning to Will she said “And if you don’t trust him fine. Just let him go. Nikole come first.”

Still unsure about Will she said “If I survive this and Nikole doesn’t and it’s because you two can’t work together I’ll make sure Mum hears of it and you two will never be part of her life again.”

As Tesla and Will stood there she said “NOW GO!”

Imogen Worth

Hearing her father’s voice Imogen replied “Dad? … Daddy? … I’m … here Daddy”. She waited for his response

Roger de Blythe

Hearing Worth’s taunt and then the little conversation de Blythe said “This is the chaos Adam. I’ve brought your daughter to see you. But unless we get out of here it will be the shortest re union in history. My main concern is to stabilise Isis and then find Lyda.” Turning to Imogen he said “Go to your father but try not to stress him …”

Just then he heard a scream in the distance and he held up his hand for silence. “That sounded like Ashley or Helen. I can’t shout in case the vibration brings this area down. I’ll use other means.” Turning to Isis he said “Before I look for Lyda we need to save your left leg. I’m going to release some of the blockage by severing one of the veins and diverting the blood. After that I’ll reconnect. Meanwhile you can help the others by sending telepathic thoughts to Magnus to let her know we are fine. Ask her if she has Lyda with her.”

Turning to Mel he said “I need you here to hold the instruments when I ask for them give them to me.” Looking at Isis he said “I’m sorry, but this WILL hurt.”

Worth... Does Imogean know about Abnormals?

He watched Worth shake his head no as he called out to Imogean one more time.
?
Daddy is right here Imogean. So is Miss Isis you remember Dr Magnus sister... right?

Worth knew where Declan was going with this and hoped he was right. Crazy or not a psychotic shifter in a situation was not in anyone's best interest

Isis

Catching Imogeans presence she did her best to calm to more human appearance as she for used her mind hoping she could reach her sister but would settle for any of them.

Helen... sister... Lyra... can't find them. Focusing calm... Imogean here... Declan... Worth... De Blythe... Henry... Will... John... cant find Lyda

The Big Guy had a terrible headache that was hindering his thought chain. He knew the Sanctuary was damaged and he knew there was a danger that some of the dangerous creatures could escape. As the dust settlede the full extent of the damage became clear.

Emergency procedures were designed to ensure doors trapped shut immediately there was any chance of something being unleashed on the world. But that only worked if there was anything left to control. Right now everything seemed upside down.

He looked for Helen, for Will, Tesla, anyone but even his powerful vision couldn't pierce the darkness. Just then he heard a scream and turned to see six flying baboon type creatures buzzing around like moths trying to get to a light source. He recognised them as being creatures Magnus had come home with some years ago when she was visiting the volcanic craters round near Etna. He had warned her, Will had warned her even Kate had said they needed to be controlled. Now they were loose and if the rumours about their bite were true the earthquake would be the least of their worries.

They spotted him, he had to do something or they would be loose. He remembered water weighed their wings down and prevented flying. On the ground was a severed pipe still connected to the rising main. Aiming it them he saw them fall to the ground one by one. Leaving the water running he managed to get out of what was left of the room and with barbed wire made a short time bolt.

Realising he had bought himself about twenty minutes he went looking for help. The one he needed more than anyone was Asteroth.

Kate

She found a few weapons along the way and a precarious ledge of debris to stand on staring at the reptile being as it balanced on a loose boulder of rubble. It hissed at her as she held up her hands.

Lets talk I know you can talk and understand me. I don't recognize that creature you have there as anything from the Sanctuary where did you find it?

The creature hissed again as it spoke

Thissss issss not of thisss place. This is of the hidden onessss. They are not to be here.

Thats all well and good but since it is Maybe you can get it to help us then you can eat it... Dr Magnus was more than nice and let you stay in Sanctuary when everything else was screaming for your kinds extermination... Help me help the others... there are young in there that need rescue. your kind are known for always protecting the young no matter what species... help me help them.

It hissed again nodding.

Dr Magnusss isss in need... othersss too. We will help it isss coma it has no vote.

Jenny & Iris:

Jenny had been furious when John Druitt had done the responsible thing and dropped her off back at the Sanctuary. Her times with him had always been confusing and emotionally charged. Arousal laced with a sharp tinge of fear hung in the air between them every time they were together, charging their atmosphere like palpable electricity. She was afraid of him, yes, and yet eager to know more, to learn what made him tick and how to help him learn to control his rage. He was a sexual dynamo, and smart as hell, and charming, worldly...She sighed. It seemed he also didn't want her anymore. That sucked big time.

Tossing her bed-cushion against the wall like an angry child in a tantrum she avoided tears so narrowly by swearing up a storm instead. Then, running her hands through her short, spiky hair, she found herself wishing she had cigarettes so she could light one up, or maybe not even that, no, she craved a different kind of smoke in her lungs...No, definitely not. She had vowed not to ruin this new body bestowed upon her by some miracle of the universe even Helen Magnus could barely explain to her. No. She would not risk it. No weed, no cigarettes...then what?
"Shit. Maybe a good, strong shot of tequila..." she said, grabbing her newly scratched up leather jacket to put on as she hurried out into the vast halls of the Sanctuary main house on a hunt for something strong to drink and something to get her mind off of how much she wanted a man who chose to remain aloof after giving her a taste of something she was scared to death of and yet wanted so badly.

...She was nearing the lounge where they'd first played spin the bottle and played games. She was rounding a billiards table and just heading for the kitchen and bar when the whole world seemed to tremble, shake, and shatter all around her. Forget a quick high, now she simply needed something to hang on to as the room almost felt like it was falling out of thin air!

A crack in the floor ruptured the structure and she fell far hitting her head before realizing she needed to cover her head and face to protect herself as she fell, nothing to grab hold of, to brace herself before landing...where? Jenny blacked out and woke up several times, each time seeing nothing but dust. Then, she blinked away dust and rubble to look up into the face of a young woman in old fashioned clothing, Victorian clothes, leaning over her. She looked almost as confused as Jenny felt as she asked several times in a very stuffy sounding old English accent, "Are you alright? Are you hurt? Can you understand me? Where is this place? Is it hell?"

Jenny had to laugh at the last question, a long bout of dry, ironic laughter which left her coughing and vomiting afterward. The young woman was ever at her side, nice enough not to seem too disgusted by the vomit, simply moving Jenny to a different area of the ''hell'' around them. "Hell." she said in a dry rasp. ''I think not. I've been dead before and I've glimpsed upon what could be described as hell. This place is heaven in comparison.'' Jenny replied.

"Helen, I'm frightened. Did he hurt you too?" asked the young woman and Jenny looked at the woman with different eyes. So, she thought she was Helen Magnus? Well, this would not be the first or ever the last time, she supposed.

Jenny shook her head, "I'm not Helen. My name is Jenny. Jenny Armory...I can explain why I look like her later if there's time. Who do you think hurt her? Why did you say, 'Did he hurt you too'?"

The young woman swallowed hard and whispered, "He's The Ripper, you know. He killed me...or so I thought I was dead...we may be dead now."

Jenny suddenly felt cold wash over her whole body and her blue eyes locked with the jade of the other woman's, reading her terror and pain like a psychic would read leaves at the bottom of a teacup. "Who is he?" she asked, knowing the answer but having to hear the actual words to be sure.

A shivering sigh escaped the woman's heart shaped lips before she answered, "My best friend's fiancee. He killed me because I had found out and he knew I would tell her..."

Jenny pressed further, "His name?"

''Montigue John Druitt.''

Jenny felt her heart sink. Here she was, by some miracle of fate she was faced with one of his actual victims and yet even now a part of her mind still wanted to believe the man she was falling in love with wasn't really capable of such horrendous acts. ''God, what's wrong with me?'' she asked herself.

The woman gently squeezed her shoulder, a truly empathetic spirit, and she asked, "What is it, Jenny?"

Jenny felt tears sting her eyes and she shook her head, "Nothing. I'm sorry, that's all. I'm so sorry you had to suffer and I'm sorry I'm such an idiot."

''Why are you an idiot?''

Jenny sniffled, "Because I know he did terrible things and yet I still love him."

Careful not to use her injured arm Helen climbed with the aide of John to help her along, sometimes below her to push her further onward, sometimes rushing ahead to create areas of hand or foot-holds for them and pulling her up to keep up with him. She had to admit, this would have been much more difficult, possibly impossible, without John's help. A stitch in her side caused from over-exertion and slight dehydration was getting worse as well and finally, as they climbed over a ledge or marble which looked like it had once been the floor of her formal dining-room, she rasped, "John, a moment, please. I think I need a break."

He nodded and sat beside her, sighing deeply. His own fatigue beginning to show. "I think if we head toward that tunnel of rubble there we might be close to an outside wall." he suggested.

''There's no way to be certain, though.'' Helen cautioned.

''No, I'm not sure, just guessing.'' he admitted.

''Are you thirsty too?'' she asked.

He nodded, "All the more reason to get out of this hole." he added.

Tesla took out his mobile phone and tried turning it on. "It's not working down here but I wonder if there's a way to boost the signal. We could get a distress signal out if we're creative." he suggested.

He took his baby from Ashley's arms and wrapped her in a make-shift baby sling against him once again. Then, he patted Will on the shoulder and said, "That woman needs to live as long as possible. We both love her mother and know she'd never forgive either of us if we didn't do all we could for her." he said, indicating Ashley.

''Don't talk about me as if I'm not right here listening, Tesla.'' Ashley retorted.

''Not now, Sweetums, the grown-ups are talking.'' Tesla replied acidly before turning back to Will. "She's also my baby's food source for now. We bring her along. YOU keep her alive. And I..." he took the mobile phone from Will's pocket despite the snort of protest from the slower man and held both Will's and his own phone in his hands exploring the available walking space for a sign of a signal. ''...I'll concentrate on getting us out of here AND getting a signal with these so we can send out a distress call somehow. Keep up William, and make sure to bring the milking cow, please.''

Ashley sputtered again, insulted, "Cow?! I'm a person for your information and I'm that baby's mother, not just some milk source!"

''Yeah, yeah, you're special and all that crap. Let's go.'' Tesla said, leading the way to the doorway and tunnel beyond.

Ashley Magnus

Ashley finally lost control when Tesla’s earlier words “ … the grownups are talking” sank in. She exploded in a rage usually associated with Melaven. “JUST WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?” Her face went red not with shame but anger as she said quietly but coldly so Will could hear “You didn’t speak to me like that when you gave me Nikole did you? I was adult enough for you to shoot your seed into me!” Seeing she had hit home she continued “I shared this frame with Melaven then and I felt her thoughts as you took us. She recalled she used to get more pleasure out of a carrot and for my part I was bored. I was just waiting for the splash so you’d climb off me.”

Not waiting for a reply she continued “You can always get milk or something for her but if you have to choose between us you must save her and leave me.”

Iris

Iris struggled to get her head round what was happening. She knew she was talking to Helen and yet she knew something had changed. Whatever was going on she felt like an outsider. “I don’t know what’s happening or how I got here” she said “One minute I was coming to warn you … or whoever …” Her voice trailed off this didn’t make any sense “… if you’re not Helen … who or … Did he send you to finish me off?”

Obviously worried and scared Iris turned round and saw the broken glass, the shattered frames and then the lights flashing from someone or something moving around. Seeing an axe on the floor from a broken fire hydrant she grabbed it and demanded “TELL ME WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO HELEN OR I’LL CHOP YOU INTO PIECES!”

Isis continued trying to mentally reach Helen or any of them. It helped her ignore DeBlythe and his surgical attempts to help her.

Helen... Lyda...

Declan finally free did what he could to check on Worth who beyond being locked firmly to the gurney seemed unharmed for the most part.

Imogean... hello I am Declan. Can you keep an eye on your father while I help Roger with Miss Isis?

Lyda paused from answering Henry.

Mother is near.... Grandfather is.... near perhaps as well.... at least attempting to contact me as before... I think.
