Saving the Don's Daughter

OOC: Hey everyone!
I think we're doing great in here and want to thank everyone so far!
Because of a new trick we're supposed to be learning, I'll be in exercise mode at work untill next Tuesday and that's going to limit my posting severely. I apologise for the interuption- if you've a problem, write your congressman, LOL.
Thanks for your time and now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Felix

Felix listened to the voice on the phone. He was amused that Cara would put on a spanish accent for his enjoyment. It was always good to work with people with a sense of humor since sometimes this line of work was too damn grim. He responded back on the phone. " Hola senora, como esta usded? Yo quiero hablar con Cara . " Felix waited for her to answer in her regular voice.

Ty Lei

::She looked to the Charger and nodded asx she walked, the bag draped over her shoulder, and she offered him a smile and a word of thanks for opening the door for her.

She settled in for the ride and looked at him as he had asked about her. Figuring he had the right to know as much as she knew about him she decided to talk.::

Im more of the silent covert type. I am trained in the arts of ninjitsu and also as a giesha...makes for great bedfellows...

::She looked over at him as he asked about why she took the mission::

Cara and I live in the suite an the third floor of the building, and She asked for my help with rescuing the girl. I'm always willing to get into trouble just haven't been able to let go in quite some time....

::She looked back out at the city as they drove, watching the people as they milled about, then looked at Terra.::

So where should we hit first and how hard?

Cara

I couldn't help but laugh as Felix answered in Spanish- his far better then mine, I might add.
"Uno momento, por favor," I said in keeping with my character before answering in my normal voice. "Hey Felix, what's up?"

Felix

Felix laughed into the receiver. " You almost had me there for a minute Cara. I have read over Stephans report. I trust you have? .....Good. I am impressed by his work. It will make things easier having such exacting information. I suggest that since there is a baseball game in town tonight that Stephan, yourself and I hook up and go to the game. In the confusion of all the people, it will be easier to seperate him from others. Plus looking at this impressive amount of money that he owes; there are bound to be people willing to look the other way.

I agree with his assessment of Michael Carbone. He would be our second chance if Salvatore did not work out. There are bound to be some weak points we can work on if we have to , but for now, lets stick with Salvatore. Do you want us all to meet at your place at 7pm? That would probably be easiest since we all know where it is. Please tell Stephan that he should dress casual, we do not want to draw attention if he is dressed too nicely. "

Terra nodded, a smile coming to his face. Bedfellows? Had he heard her right? This job certainly did have some bonuses, but this wasn't something he'd heard of before.
Well, we could see. No need to jump the tracks, so to speak.
They parked at a small hotel, and he opened up one of the doors for her. His hotel was nothing more than a bedroom, a closet, and a bathroom in the back. He sat down on one fo the two chairs, opening up the folder, and pointing to what he'd circled on the map.
"The racetrack has got plenty of high profile assholes willing to spend money, and possibly some knowledge on the kidnapping. Well, I don't know if they have any knowledge or not, but some outside would bet that these guys do."
There was a small fridge, and he grabbed a few beers, offering her one.
"It'll be high security though. The word is overkill. People will be bodyguarded with some serious firepower. We need to strike hard, and strike fast if we want to leave their with our asses intact. Leave as many people alive as we possibly can, of course, the whole point is witnesses know that I am looking for the girl. Would Mirazoli know who you are? I have a contract on my head, that's no fucking deal to me, what about you though? This kind of thing can make you famous, and not in the good way."

Cara

"I'll pass that on," I told Felix with a smile. I shot a glance at the clock- I'd gotten about 6 hours of sleep. Time to get up. "If he doesn't pull off casual well enough I've got some spare stuff here we can fit to him. Anything else?"
I was already at my keyboard typing in a message to Stephan asking him to meet me and Felix at my house at 7pm this evening. Dress Casually!

Letisha

I awakened with a bit of a headache, not unusual for me. They always occur after I have been with lots of different people. I decided to get up and shower, get some breakfast, a cup of tea and then head out on my search.

Before doing any of that, I said my morning prayer and then went to my computer to e-mail Cara and tell her of my plans to begin canvassing the city. I figured at least someone should be aware of my plans and she seemed the best bet.

After logging off, I went to the kitchen. Breakfast and tea. I never eat alot in the morning, but today was a bit different. I knew I was going to use up quite a bit of energy before noon.

Then my shower. Hot water cascaded over me, leaving me clean and refreshed. The clothing was simple: tight, boot cut jeans; a tiny black half top; black cowboy boots and a light jacket. I pulled my hair up into a pony tail and grabbed my knap sack.

Ty Lei

::She, slid from the seat and tossed the bag over her shoulder before following Terra into the Hotel room. She looked the room over and smirked seeing the single bed. Ah well what did I expect? She quickly found her way to the bathroom and secured her bag in one of the cabinetsbefore walking back out to join Terra in the room.

Seeing him on the chair looking at the map, She walked over and sat on the armrest of the chair looking down at the map.::

Reguardless if they do or not, we're just to creat a bzz about it and see if we can get a rise outta them.

::She waved off the beer and looked more closely at the map as he spoke::

There are ways to get in and out unnoticed...No, They wouldn't know me even if I did work against them before. I wear a mask so only my eyes and hair are left uncovered....

As for you and your bounty, you dont have to worry about me trying to collect. I dont need the money and besides if Cara trusts you enough to bring you into this then I will trust you as well...

::She slid off the chair and walked to the window, opening the blind enough to look outside. Seeing that they were not followed or being watched, she closed the blind and the curtain, then walked over and laid down on the bed, looking back at him as she laid her head on a pillow::

Race track becomes active. We go in, create a fuss, get out and report to Cara and see what is next on the list....

::She thought for a moment, then looked back at him::

Should we go in through the front gates or should we creat our own way in?

Felix

Felix hung up the phone with Cara, wishing her a good day. He went into his spare bedroom and rummaged through his things. He would need to be very sharp tonight. He always did the best he could, but this was closer to his bosses heart than any previous mission. He put together his emergency bag, with some odds and ends that would help him change in a pinch.

He also went through his stockpile of wigs and facial implants to try and make himself look like Salvatore. After an hour or so, he was able to come up with a reasonable faxsimile of what Salvatore looked like that would probably pass most inspections. Now all he would have to do was get a grasp on his voice and mannerisms to make it complete. Felix took off the wig and prosthetics and stowed them in his emergency bag. He left room in there for a .38 Chief special that he always carried when he was on a mission.

Taking his ceramic knife from the ankle sheath, Felix made sure that it was still razor sharp. Having a knife not detected by metal detectors had been a life saver in the past. Stowing the knife back as well as checking the brim of his baseball cap for the small plastic garrote secreted in the headband, Felix put on his jacket.

Looking in the mirror, he realized that he would need a pair of heighteners. These adjustable stilts were not noticable under his pants. He had found in his line of work that the two extremes, very tall people and very short people always drew extra attention. He has always used some form of heighteners to raise his height to around 5'10" that way he was more nondescript in height.

Taking a final look at himself in the mirror, Felix realized that he would not have recognized himself. That was always a good sign. He relished the times when he truly looked like an average person so as to draw less attention. Giving a carefree grin that he did not fully feel, Felix walked out of his home.

He checked his watch as he arrived at Cara's place. He always did his best to be a few minutes early since tardiness infuriated him. It did not take much attention to detail to show up on time in most cases. He walked up to the door and gently knocked on it.

Cara

I was at my main computer desk, checking emails and trading stocks when the front door bell rang. I checked the clock- probably Felix or Stephan. The 3D camera image from the front door showed a non-descript 5'10" man I wouldn't have known from Adam. Which told me it was Felix.
I leaned over and spoke into a mike that was piped out to the front door's speaker. "Come on in, Senior Cortez, I'm waiting for you upstairs."
I watched him enter the house with a smile and finished my trading before logging off my computer.
I wore a simple pair of jeans, a black Tshirt with a men's dress shirt, also black, over it. This did much to hide the simple Browning I wore. A pair of blades, one magical the other not, were strapped in the tops of my mid-calf boots. A length of cable in my belt and a weight at the end of my braid that could be used for bashing finished the outfit. My normally fiery red hair was temp. dyed a far more sedate deep brown with faint red highlights and makeup made my fey skin darker with a faint tan line where sun glasses would have been.
I greeted Felix at the top of the stairs with a whistle. "Wow- even your own mum wouldn't know you in that get up, Senior Cortez!"

Felix

"Merci beaucoup, madamoiselle. ", intoned Felix as he entered the house. "That is the idea. In my profession, I have to use what skills I have to do the job. My lack of physical strength limits my ability to fight, but there are other equally important things that I can do. I am glad that I have used my heighteners for a few years since it took a while to get used to them. Though I must say , things look different from this height. Even the air smells cleaner. "

Felix laughed at his little joke as he looked at her outfit. He was impressed by the touches that she added to her ensemble that could easily be used as a weapon. "I would hate to meet you in a dark alley, mon cherie. Though you may want to loosen up your overshirt, that way the butt of the gun is practically invisible. Now all we wait for is Stephan. Do you happen to have a shot of vodka handy? I need a little something to even out my nerves right now. "

Cara

"This way," I said, loosening the overshirt a bit more, blousing it a bit. I wasn't bothered by it showing too much, most people wouldn't see it on a black shirt and I was Federally liscensed.
I lead the way to a room off the main dinning room- Ty called it a "drawing room" though I honestly didn't know why.
I went to the wetbar tucked in the far corner and poured Felix a double of vodka and a Coke for myself.
I handed him the swirled blue shot glass and smiled. "Cheers."

Felix

Felix took the glass from her hands. "Cheers. " He tilted his head back and swallowed it in one gulp. Wiping his lips, he smiled at her. "That hit the spot. Thank you. May I sit down? " After obtaining her consent, Felix sit down on a plush sofa near the bar watching his newest partner. He had worked with a lot of people over the years, some good some bad. This one was different than any he had ever worked with. He did not know how, but something was definetly different. He pushed back into the sofa enjoying the view.

Letisha

My trips today cut out a lot of places including 2 expensive hotels, 3 seperate businesses, the Mirazoli's family home and the home of one of the Mirazoli's higher-ups. My back ached, my head hurt and I was worn beyond my normal tiredness.

I made it home a bit before dinner time and gladly kicked off my boots as I stepped inside. My senses went completely nuts when I realized that someone else had been here.

I pulled out two different blades and made my way quietly through my apartment, ending my search once I walked into my bedroom and noticed a note lying on my bed.

Ms. DeLorean:

We would dearly appreciate any information you have now concerning the whereabouts of Ms. Alvarez. Her father is becoming most impatient. Belive me, Ms. DeLorean, that is not a good thing.

Please call us at ***-**** after 9 pm. Code word: zebra. We expect a full report of your activities at this time.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!!!"

As if I did not have enough pressure on me. Gods, I was NOT a miracle worker. I sat down and composed my report to Cara, telling her of all of the places I ruled out as probable hiding places. I did not bother to inform her of my note from the Alvarez clan. It would not do to have them worrying about Alvarez's impatience.

I ate dinner and then took a nice hot bath. Then I sat down to with a map and marked out all of the places I had been. Grabbing my folder from Cara's, I mapped out some new places to investigate. After all of that, I still had a few hours to waste. With no other ideas, I decided to watch a movie.

Amara's limo pulled up in front of the house for the second time in the two day period.
She watched an unfamiliar man approach the house, something about him was vaguely familiar and when she saw Cara let him in without hesitating her paranoia vanished.

"Aiden, park the car around the side of the house as you did before. Keep your phone on and I'll keep you posted. If I'll be long I'll give you leave to return to the penthouse until further notice."

"But my Lady, I'm supposed to protect you-"

"Don't worry about me," she interjected, "I'll be fine. I'm not a child." She opened the door and strode out.

She knocked on the door, and awaited admission into the house.

Cara

I looked around my swiftly darkening drawing room and flexed some muscle deep inside, lighting the candles and hearth with it. The light flickered at first before steadying into a glowing warmpth.
Felix was watching me- wonder what he's thinking... oh well there's the door bell.
"Be right back."
I checked a display hidden in the dinning room- Lady Amara was back. Wonder why?
I opened the front door personally with a small bow. "Lady Amara, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

Felix

Felix had just finished his drink when the doorbell rang. He put down his drink and followed Cara to the door to say hello to Stephan. Instead, it was Amara that was at the door. Felix was not sure why she was here, but he waved hello before going back to the bar. He grabbed some more vodka before sitting back down. It was not his concern why she was there. Maybe she had wanted to help them.

"Ms. McFain, in my absence I had quite an interesting conversation with our Queen. Her concerns with this matter has raised some of my suspicions, and I wanted to inform you of these concerns. I have some contacts that I plan on speaking with in the next few hours, and all I ask is that you be careful. The Queen has been my friend and confidante for generations and she would not reveal what she knew to me in its entirety and that worries me..."
She slid her hands in her coat pockets, "many of these contacts also have connections within the families..." she paused, "I suppose I'll keep you informed.."

Letisha and the phone call

Letisha: "Hello, this is Ms. Delorean."

recipient: "Code word, please."

The words said in a deep masculine voice, almost a bass, which sent shock waves through Letisha.

L: "Zebra."

R: "OK, what have you found?"

L: "Ms. Alvarez is not located in any of these places."
Followed by a list of names. "I have every intention of widening my search area tomorrow as well as meeting with my partners in this matter."

R: "Do you know your partners plans so far?"

L: "No I do not. I work alone. I would not attempt to tell them how to do their jobs as I would hope they don't tell me how to do mine."

R: "Understood Ms. DeLorean. We will talk to you soon."

The click and eventual buzz of the phone line finally convinced Letisha to hang up. Some thing did not strike her as being right. She decided to send a transcript of the note as well as the phone call to Cara. She was not going to worry about this all alone.

Cara

I rose an eyebrow at Amara's words. "That lady, who's ignored me since her attempt to have me drown along side her neice failed, wants my loyalty and following now?!?"
A cold rage coursed through me, a familiar on. In Andia's turning of her back on me, so had most of the rest of the faere except my father's people. And one cannot expect to fit in well with fire pixies when one is human sized. Doesn't work well. I'd spent over 50 years cut off from most of my mother's people, only occasionally finding one and taking solace in him, my skin glowing like fire in moonlight. But those interludes were few and far between.
"I'm sorry, Lady Amara," I said formally. "I wasn't aware you were in such close contact with our Lady Queen."
I refrained from speaking Andias' name- she could hear anything whispered at night, especially her own name. Don't call her the Queen of Air and Darkness for nothing. Still- couldn't be angry with Amara for it- she was full blood Unseele Sidhe by the looks of it, not a mutt like myself.
"I appologise if our mission has put you at odds with her plans and will completely understand if you have to leave us because of her wishes."

Felix

Felix was intrigued by what he was able to hear. Part of his talents was to blend into a background so that people did not realize he was even there. This worked well as he gathered some information on the two ladies present. He did not realize how much of a connection to the faere world that this mission would involve.

He did not often work with faere folk since he preferred to have a predictable partnership. Filing this information into his brain, Felix listened quietly to see if anything valuable was spoken. Knowledge was power as Stephan had shown them with his excellent work. Felix hoped that this faere connection did not jeopardize this mission.

"They have their own private skybox," He said, lying down next to her, his head propped up on his elbow, he gave her a small drawing of the skybox. There was a slanted roof, and then a huge glass window, inside was a private room with a buffet table, lounge chairs, a nice comfortable sofa, and plenty of room for bodyguards to stand around and look for trouble.
"I was thinking, since this is going to take a little bit of hardware, we need some place to load and unload everything. I was thinking we could just rent a truck with one of those horse trailers, and go in through the back entrance. To make everything look good, we can even rent a horse.
"No one will pay us any attention until we get to the skybox itself though. Security here is for shit, nothing like airports nowadays. It's mostly there to make sure no one cheats or runs onto the track. We'll have no trouble getting to where we need to be."
He turned onto his back, looking up at the cheap ceiling, water stains and rust rings dominated one corner of the place. A twinge of guilt went through him. Had he known he was going to be entertaining guests, he might have gotten someplace better.
"There are two guards standing outside the skybox door at all times. They check to make sure no one gets inside. No one, not even the guys bringing food. So, the only way in there is through those meat heads. I was thinking of a better plan though."
He pointed to the huge glass window.
"We use ropes, and crash in from the rooftop, it'll surprise everyone, give us enough time to shoot whoever is unimportant that might have an uzi in their pocket. Then, we ask all the wrong questions to all the wrong people. With all the gunfire and shit that's going to happen. I assume the race track is going to lock down, try to get everyone out. We could leave at the back end of the heightened frenzy, or take our truck with the horse back out. Whichever is easiest."
He shrugged his shoulders, "What do you think?"

"There is no problem," Amara replied, keeping her voice cool.
"And while the Queen may have a distaste for you, that doesn't mean that she doesn't keep tabs on your activities, nor does it mean that I would like to uninvolve myself from this mission."
She smiled faintly, "after all, I am one of the few fae at court that is both close to the Queen and yet not under her thumb. I take pride in my freedom to think and act for myself. I just found it odd that she of all people would take interest in something such as this. Puts sort of an interesting spin on things. I thought perhaps that while I am no real use to you on whatever aspect of the mission you may be undertaking at this particular moment, that perhaps I could use my own contacts both within the preternatural realm and without to perhaps gather some information for the group."

Ty Lei

::She sat up and tucked her feet beneath her as she leaned over and looked at the maps. He eyes wandered over to all of the different places he had mentioned and her brain started forming somewhat of a plan.

We rent a horse, have Terra drive it into the track and head to the stables. I jump out here and using my skills move about in the shadows and such taking out any guards around the perimider of the skybox, including the two by the door.

Looks around the skybox to see where she can access it unseen, then nods.

We get to the room and then we take out the two guards at the door. Hopefully Terra can be a silent killer as well in this matter. Once that is done we can enter and exit the box without having to worry about getting shot.

She looked over the map and saw that Terra had marked where the guards for the box usually stand. Four guards with Uzi's is what he wrote down, not including the two at the door and whoever many are within.::

Ok, here is what I think we should do.....

:: Ty then told him everything that was on her mind and how they could get tothe box and get out.::

You think that over and I'll call Cara and see if she has anything new for us yet....

::She slid off the bed and went to the bathroom for her bag. Grabbing her cell phone, she dialed the house number and waited to hear Cara's voice.::

Hello sweetie.......
