Indiana judge on Friday blocked the state from enforcing its law banning most abortions after Jewish, Muslim and other non-Christian women challenged it in a lawsuit.

My church (I'm not Christian, it's a Unitarian Universalist church) has a reproductive justice committee. I used to be on this committee, but because of my poor health, I had to leave it. I love that there is a church that actually supports reproductive justice rather than advocates for violence against AFAB people.

Just proves that certain people believe rape victims must carry the scar of the rape for 9 months. Sorry....i don't believe getting pregnant because of a rape is a gift from God. And yet....I am considered the bad guy here for pointing out the politics in the "playground". Empty words like "I don't have that view" are meaningless when you keep voting for that view.

Some people in the Playground criticize me for "thinking I am better than others". I believe rape victims shouldn't have to carry a pregnancy to term. I believe women should be allowed to make decisions for themselves. I believe kids being murdered in school is unacceptable. I believe the Constitution should apply equally to all citizens. I don't believe in insurrection tactics because i lost an election. So yea, no thinking involved. I am better than those that support the Party that believes contrary to my beliefs listed here. There is no debating this.

I ask the same thing I ask in the General Board of our Republican friends here in the Playground...if you really don't have that view...what is it that that Party stands for is so valuable to you that you continue to turn a blind eye to forcing women to carry a child of rape? Or the senseless murder of children in schools? What is so important that you are willing to do nothing about just these two things? Just curious what is so valuable.

Comstock Act...next target by the Fascist Republican Judges. Guaranteed. It will make mail ordering sexual toys illegal too...but the target is birth control and other medical pharmaceuticals. See what happens when you allow State and Federal Legislatures to go on with their day to day business without removing 150 yr old antiquated law?

Smart people will know how to obtain the soon to be illegal products...but you could go to jail for that if one of your Republican friends finds out and reports you.

When I studied the history of birth control and reproductive health care in the US, I also learned about the Comstock laws... I did not imagine they would be resurrected to be used as a cudgel against women/people in the 2020s. Ridiculous... and yet predictable.
