Seamless transition from hysterical Obama threads to hysterical Trump threads

Fail? You accuse me of "failing"?

Heads up, dipshit. You're the one that offered "meaningful content" as a minimum standard for "hyperbole" and in the very next sentence compared Trump's hair piece to a living parasite from another planet that actually controls Trump's mind.

If that's what you call "meaningful content" (and it isn't), then there is precious little disparaging remark, other than the worst racial epithets, one could use as counter-hyperbole.

This is the whole problem with partisanship -- the failure to see as negligence, ignorance, aggression and outright hatred in the same behavior one manifests as that which he or she condemns in someone else.

And, for the record, I hate it when it is used by fellow conservatives like BB on this forum, and I hate it when my new President uses it towards women and his political rivals who merely exercise their Constitutional right of criticism.

And the ONLY reason I responded to your post at all was to illustrate the hypocrisy of your self-exculpable, feeble excuse of a "standard" for hyperbolic insult.

"FAIL," indeed.

Nope. But I will keep calling 'em like I see 'em. Trump has an outstanding opportunity and has so far demonstrated a very clear potential and hopefully an intent to grow in the job -- something I'm not completely sure he took seriously during the campaign.

I have far greater hopes for a Trump presidency than I did a few months ago.

I do wish he would take a light finger on his mouse button when Tweeting. These fools are simply not worth his time. Rosie O'Donnell? Meryl Streep? Let it the fuck go. Just get to work.

I'd give anything to be one of his speech writers.

I am of the opinion that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I don't think Trump's going to be anything different than he's always been. On the other hand I'm slightly more impressed with him than I was before because I'm starting to understand the moronic genius behind his tweets.

What they basically are are intentional gaffes that come with built-in plausible deniability for anything you say. With very little effort he is effectively trolling the Democrats into apoplectic fits. I don't think he tends to spend a lot of time thinking about it in fact I seriously doubt he does I think an idea pops into his head he tweets it done.

The first time I really realized what he was doing with some of these tweets was when he tweeted about how there should be a law about flag burning we should lock these people up. At first I was thinking WTH? How is this even remotely important and it's well established by scotus that it's perfectly legal to burn American flags.

If that had trolled some anti-trumpers into actually burning flags, for example on inauguration day, that would have made excellent optics.

Then.. I was reading somewhere and they pointed out that Hillary Clinton had once co-sponsored exactly such a moronic piece of legislation. He was trolling Hillary and I didn't even catch that.

I still agree with the idea that his tweets go around the press, a press that basically takes everything any Republican says and then selects soundbites that are then framed in the worst possible light and the the hapless Republican goes straight to some idiotic apologetic defense which just serves to keep the soundbite alive and helps to dig the hole deeper.

Trump tweets to go on the offensive and to frame the discussion in such a manner as to put others on defense, and having not had to do that before, they aren't very good at it and don't know what the fuck to do about it other than to keep digging their own hole...

Come on, enough with the Republican pity party stance.

Tell me that it is not an accurate observation on the nature of the so-called Republican "leadership."

It's why I won't vote for them.
