Second annual Crime and Punishment story event - the 2024 Story Event Official Support Thread

I haver submitted my story on 19th. But it got sentback today just a hour ago citing I may have used AI like grammarly or prowititing aid softwares. I have not used any of them.
I have resubmitted it mentioning how I have not used any of those softwares and not used any AI. Will my story be included in the entries. I did submit within timeframe.

I belive that non-erotic is the slowest category on the site. Oh, well, I'm happy with how my entry is doing.

Non-erotic Poetry has entered the chat, lol.

You did what I think any of us would have suggested you do. At this point, as long as you made sure to include the event title in your Note To Admin, they should expedite it to get it on the list.

Cross your fingers!

I'm sure it's among the lowest, but my story in Letters and Transcripts gets fewer views on the average than my Non-Erotic, but not by a lot.

For last year's event, I wrote Abby and the Outlaws, a Western about a young prostitute, unjustly sentenced to hang for the murder of a customer. She escaped and took up with a band of outlaws planning to rob the local bank.

This year's entry is Abby Comes To Town. She has fled the west for the bustling Chicago of 1883, intent on her dream: to establish the finest whore house in the city.

That sounds right up my alley. I'm working on an old west story about a lawman and and a wealthy married lady who are forced to share a sleeper roomette on a train for a week. Maybe yours will inspire me.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a story - or in some cases more than one story - for this event. I look forward to reading as many as possible. And thank you to Laurel for assembling the story list and contest page. And to anyone who discovered the event too late, there will be a third iteration next year. So stragglers and deadline-challenged writers like me, you have eleven months to get a head start on next year's event.

I wrote two stories for this challenge and they were my most popular stories I've posted in terms of lists and favorites. IDK what it was but people seemed to love it. This challenge had some interesting reads SO I'm glad for it!

Iā€™ve got two more Abby stories in rough sketch, so Iā€™m good through ā€˜26.

I've got two in mind, but I don't know if/when I'll get to them. Plenty of time, though!

All in all, the C&P challenge has ben a lot of fun and for a LW story, mine has been pretty well received. I will participate again if the right idea pops up.
