I would also like to draw names ASAP due to an upcoming move and the fact I prefer to be done with my Christmas shopping no later than December 12th. That includes shipping and wrapping. Spastic? Probably a bit.

I generally agree that $10-20 would be a good limit/recommendation. Not exactly a "vet," so I leave all else up to those in the know.

Sounds ok to me, I have no problem with letting YOU know that info to pass on to my secret santa.

I agree with the soon name-pick date, to give us overseas bodies time to send and get there in time.

I agree with an early pick date, which means the personal info needs to be available even earlier. I won't be bound by suggested $ limits. It will depend on the recipient's wants/needs.

personal info list can be as detailed as one might want it, and some people can just omit what they don't want to share.

There will likely be some oversea shipping, so we need to start soon, esp. for those who intend to make their gift.

Then we'll have to tell whoever draws your name to send yours late cuz you're supposed to wait till the appropriate time to open it. That way 1. we can all do it "together" and 2. people aren't able to determine who their santa is by elimination

They are from the latest of a line of advertisements for a mobile phone service in UK - Orange. They have these models walking along pavements in shopping centres (they are wound up with those little keys on the side) - several of them, one holding hands, one facing each other hugging and kissing, one arms round each other's shoulders - to the musical background of Laurel and Hardy singing 'Let me call you sweetheart'.

It makes me giggle every time, so much so, the wife went to their web site to find a picture, and whether or not they were for sale. Apparently not.
