Senate Shenanigans

Today we find out if our Senate is "The Greatest Deliberative Body" or the sycophants of the Impeached PeeResident. Whether we have a functioning government or a group of scum sucking check cashers who will do anything, even treason, to support the Orange Menace.

If there is ANY justice in the world, we find that they execute their powers appropriately and dismiss the coup.

Yes, and then let's see what the voters think of that in November.

Lisa Murkowski lashes out at ‘all sides’ after her vote against impeachment trial witnesses: ‘I’m just going to chill’

Alaska GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski complained about “all sides” while leaving the U.S. Capitol following the end of the second week of Trump’s impeachment trial.

Murkowski, unlike senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Mitt Romney (R-UT), voted against allowing witnesses in the trial.

She lashed out at “all sides” while speaking with reporters.

“We started with a flawed product and I’m at that point where I’m frustrated and disappointed, angry at all sides,” Murkowski said. “Angry at all sides.”

She also announced she had made up her mind on whether to convict Trump, but would not share her decision.

She said she was so mad she was just going to go home and chill, Mitch gave her a celebratory bottle of Russian Vodka.

You'd think Murkowski would have learned her lesson when she already lost renomination once for not being ideologically pure enough. There's a reason why both sides aren't really happy with you, too, Senator.

Right. Not like the Democrat Party congressmen that are scared stiff that Pelosi will put their heads on pikes if they step out of line.

Did you notice that without exception, every Democrat Party senator voted incorrectly yesterday?

Cowardice and guilt: Republican senators finally hint Trump may have done something wrong — in the most shameful way possible

On the day it became clear a majority of the Senate would allow the trial of the president to close without hearing from a single witness, Republicans who found themselves protecting Donald Trump started making a surprising admission.

Trump, of all people, might have done something wrong.

The revelations started with Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, whose pending retirement gave him more independence than many of his colleagues to break with the president. But on Thursday night, he revealed that he would join most other Republicans in a vote to block the Senate from hearing witnesses, most notably former National Security Adviser John Bolton.

He offered a perhaps surprising reason for this decision, though: He doesn’t need Bolton’s testimony to know Trump’s guilty.

“There is no need for more evidence to prove that the president asked Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter; he said this on television on October 3, 2019, and during his July 25, 2019, telephone call with the president of Ukraine,” Alexander said in a statement. “There is no need for more evidence to conclude that the president withheld United States aid, at least in part, to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens; the House managers have proved this with what they call a ‘mountain of overwhelming evidence.’”

Trump is guilty, guilty and Fucking GUILTY, but what cha' gonna do?
Trumpublicunts and Republicunts are just as guilty and they can not let that stand.

Of whom you can't name a single one, nor point to any examples of Pelosi saying any such thing.

Did you notice that without exception, every Democrat Party senator voted incorrectly yesterday, from the point of view of a right-winger who insists on using a slur to refer to them?

Fixed that for ya.

Fixed that for ya.

First, what slur is that?

Second have you read some of drivel your buddies Keith, frodo and Jack write about anyone but of the Democrat party?

If two Republicans broke ranks to vote against Trump, how can you expect anybody to believe that the Democrats actually rubbed brain cells together to vote against him?

Whether fear or brainwashing, the Dems voted the way they did for reasons that had nothing to do with the FACTS of the case.

You can and will deny it but inside you know it's true.

First, what slur is that?
"Democrat" as an adjective, which I've noticed you use religiously. The correct term is "Democratic".

Second have you read some of drivel your buddies Keith, frodo and Jack write about anyone but of the Democrat party?

That's not even articulate. I honestly don't know what you're trying to say here.

If two Republicans broke ranks to vote against Trump, how can you expect anybody to believe that the Democrats actually rubbed brain cells together to vote against him?

Because he's guilty as hell?

Whether fear or brainwashing, the Dems voted the way they did for reasons that had nothing to do with the FACTS of the case.

You can and will deny it but inside you know it's true.

Quite the contrary. The man held up aid allocated by Congress for his own political benefit. That is the only FACT that's relevant here.

It pisses off frodo, so he claimed anyway.

Autocorrect. Anyone not of the Democrat Party

Guilty of doing what the last for Presidents SHOULD have done, maybe

His prerogative.

No, it is not his prerogative. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump himself thinks so, but he has proven himself totally ignorant of how the presidency is supposed to work and what is and isn't allowed.

No, it is not his prerogative. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump himself thinks so, but he has proven himself totally ignorant of how the presidency is supposed to work and what is and isn't allowed.

And yet he did.

Meanwhile, there's no reason to screw with something that is working well.

We'll see in November if the millions upon millions of people for whom he's made the USA a meaner, more intolerant place (and those who care about them) agree. I doubt they will.

‘For heaven’s sake’: The Denver Post declares ‘Coloradans deserve better than Cory Gardner’

The decision to acquit President Donald Trump resulted in a blistering local newspaper editorial against one Republican facing a tough reelection in 2020.

Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) voted that Trump was not guilty on charges of abuses of power and obstruction of Congress on Wednesday. On Thursday, The Denver Post responded to his decision.

“U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner either thinks it’s OK for a president to pressure a foreign government to investigate a U.S. citizen for personal and political gain or he’s too afraid to criticize this president for doing just that,” the newspaper noted. “We’re not sure which is worse.”

The Senate is beginning to reap the Shit storm!:)
