Serpent's Tooth

"Tsk tsk ..." Verialyn shook her head "That's the wrong way to look at it."

She spent a few seconds sorting her thoughts, before going on.

"Just remember WHY you bit him in the first place. He had it coming, and noone would have cried after him had he dropped dead that moment. But he got a second chance. He doesn't seem insane to me, either, just longing for your guidance ..." At that she had to grin.

"So if you just want to have a good fuck, or if you think he has done well and deserves some release, there is nothing wrong with shagging him. He is quite the stud, after all."

Verialyn's expression grew more serious as she continued "But don't you dare to ever again think that you deserve to get punished! If you do, I might personally ... err, forget that part ..."

"Oh, it is not that easy to foget it.... This couple back then, they where sadistic perverts, maybe Kroolshek was as well, but they were worse. The woman wasn't very petty and just liked to degrade and humiliate a younger and prettier woman. And the man just could do things with me that many whores would have rejected. For many, many years, I did no anal or bondage after that, not even oral - I pushed all that so far away from me that I even believed I never did such a thing.... but I am carried away..." the gorgon pushed her snakes aside, as if they were hair.
"But the important thing was that they felt so safe because they could not imagine that a slave had a mind for her own - as they knew I could have destroyed them any time. But that's what happened - my free will broke free after they took me so hard I could not stand anymore. But Koolshek, if I had just killed him... But I took his free will, turned him into a real slave... That is so cruel and evil. And I recall each time I see him."

"Bullshit..." Verialyn apparently disapproved of that last notion.

"The man had enslaved enough people in his life that what he is getting now is quite mild in comparison. But if you'd rather see him dead, that is easily fixed as well. Takes only a knife or a word to me.

That couple that tortured you... I think they would have deserved a similar fate, and got off the hook too easy.

Either way, it is your call. If you send him away he will go. But the way it is now you can at least make him do some good, that should count for something.

Be strong..."

"But I am not strong... not anymore. I know I would break his heart if I tell hiom to go away. I do not bare this." she stroke her snakes, like reassuring herself.
"I thought about killing him, too, and I had tried. But killing him now, after we took him along, and he is not really aware of anything, would be cruel. I am not sure if I will ever be strong enough to destroy bad people, but I cannot do this to helpless people, no matter what they did before."

--

"So, you will be their slave... Well, maybe that's your punishment, after all."
Tendromus turned away, thinking. He had to get away from those tow ladies. But he would need money. Steal it? He wasn't a thief, but after all, it was the money of the slavers; and he would not take all, just a share. But he could not take the risk. The women would not pursue him, if he hust went. But if he took some of the money, the dark haired one might track him down. She was the more dangerous of those two, even if she looked more harmless. And running away without a word wasn't right, anyhow. He should be brave enough to ask for a share, but after what happened the last night, it seemed impossible. And even if he had some money and he would make it to a rather safe place with a relative, he wasn't safe as long as his rival was alive, those who turned him over to the slave traders. Could he make the blackhaired lady murder him? On the other hand, he had seen the couple of thugs here, Marissa and Butch, that would do the dirty work for some mones. Kroolshek could hire and pay them.

"I guess you will have to make up your mind, then." Verialyn told her friend solemnly. "Do you still see Krolsheek as the former slaver? Then near any punishment is justified. Or do you see him as a new person deserving a second chance? Then treat him accordingly."

~*~

Krolsheek shrugged, oblivious to Tendromus' dark thoughts. "It does not feel like a punishment. I am fine. Well, maybe except for that constant urge to bed the mistress, but she seems generous in that regar as well..."

"I think...he should have a second chance. But he get's on my nerves as well... Oh, I don't know what to do. Somethings I think I am not even able to make a decision after all."

-----

"See, see..." murmured Tendromus. He thought about Malwari, a newcomer under the merchants, who quickly became the richest and mightiest trader in the town. He worked with all dirty an illegal tricks to cut down the competition, and he was the one who brought Tendromus into slavery as well.
"If you renember your past, Kroolshek. There was this couple, called Marissa and Butch. A sturdy, hefty blond and a large, ugly pale guy, maybe you saw them yesterday, hanging around. They did some dirty work for you now and then."

"How about you tell him exactly that - that he is getting on your nerves with his constant attempts at dicking you? I get the impression that he simply does not realize that yet, and thinks he is doing you a favor. Maybe he is" She had to smile briefly "And in turn maybe help him in some way to get his load off on occasion?"

~*~

Krolsheek was surprised at that sudden shift in topic, but then nodded "yes, I do remember them. They are quite the unsavory sort, and I was always careful in my dealings with them. Which is why I did not approach them yesterday. I am certain the mistress would not have approved of them"

"How about if you help him to get off his load sometimes?" said Phyliss, surprised by the somehow snippy tone of her voice.

------------

"Yes, yes, quite possible. But if you want to help your mistress, it might be useful to talk with them. There is a man, who could be dangerous to her..."
Tendromus thought if it would be wise to unvolve Verialyn into the plot. He had the feeling she would have less scruples to kill a bad man - if it would fit with her own plans.

"Now there is an idea" Verialyn had to grin. If she was in any way offended by the thought, she definitely did not show it. "The two of us taking turns on Krolsheek's cock. Would you want to watch?"

~*~

Krolsheek's brows furrowed. He may be utterly loyal to Phyliss, maybe even more so than the gorgon would want at times, but the snake venom had not made him stupid. And something about this sounded ... fishy.

"How would that help the mistress?"

"Let me think about it for a moment..." Phyliss voice even started to sound a bit sassy. "No."

--------

"Ah, I see, I see." Tendromus looked at Kroolshek. "You must know, there is a powerful, but ruthless merchant here. He brought me into slavery, others probably as well, he ruined many more, probably murdered some others. So, if he finds out that I have escaped, and you are in town, with two lovely ladies that were slaves as well, he might take interest in all of us. He might murder you and me, and take the two girls into his possession. Who would not like to show off with a beautiful exotic gorgon? As long as he is alive, he is a constand threat."

"Aww, spoilsport, I also had to watch as you had your fun with him." Verialyn pouted in good natured humor.

"But it would help if you told the man that you want him to use me to get off."

~*~

"This indeed sounds like a severe threat if it is true." Krolsheek agreed "so we better inform the mistress as soon as possible." The former slaver began to rise "Why have you not told her earlier?"

"I am so sorry you had to watch while I was being forced. I hope it wasn't to boring." Phyliss glid down the bad and started to wash herself.
"But it is new that you ask me to order a man to do you."

---------

Kroolshek was on his hook now, he had to be careful not to spoil it.
"There is a reason why I didn't tell her, and why you should not do it. You mistress will not like if we hire someone to kill a man, even if it is her enemy." Tendromus didn't know this for sure, but he had experience enough to guess so. He had watched both ladies close.
"The other mistress might agree, though. But you should not tell Lady Ovida."

"There is a first time for everything." Verialyn grinned back widely. "And you should know that I am open to try new things... especially if they promise to turn out fun."

~*~

Krolsheek was silent for a few seconds, apparently deep in thought. Finally, though, he shook his head and got up.

"No. I will tell the mistress. It is her decision whether to take action or not, and I will not presume to make that choice for her. I will tell her right now, and you will come with me."

The way he looked at Tendromus made it clear that the last part was not a mere suggestion.

This didn't really work out as he planned. Reasoning with Kroolshek seemed no good - but running away wasn't the best option either. He made one more try.
"Just talk with the blackhaired lady first. She knows your mistress longer then anyone else and has her full trust. Her advise might be helpful."

---------------

"What's happening, you can seduce men for your own, can't you?"
Phyliss dried herself up and put on the underwear, then she started to redo her makeup. The long practise worked for itself - the result was as perfect as if nothing had happened in the last days.

"Usually I can" Verialyn agreed, before shrugging her shoulders "but Krolsheek is sort of brain washed. Not sure he even registers any more that I am a woman"

~*~

"I do not like the way you are talking, almost as if you are up to no good..." Krolsheek's look at Tendromus no longer was friendly. ".. so just come with me." And with that he grabbed the older man's arm and started to drag him towards the door.

"The black haired woman might be with the mistress already. If so, she can give her advice over there..."

Now, that was the old slaver again. Tendomus said nothing and moved along. What else ould he do?

-------

"Strange, with your assets, who would not recognize you as woman?"
Phyliss finished her makeup and started tu put on her dress.
"We should plan how to go on. I think I will look if we get some more clothes here for a start, but then we must see if we find a trace of our slaves and money."

"Sounds like a ..."

Right then Krolsheek burst into the room, with Tendromus in tow - sort of.

"Tell her" he ordered sternly "Tell her what you told me!"

"Thank you for the intoduction." said Tendromus bitterly.
"As our noble exslaver just told, there is something I ought tell you. There is a ruthless mechant in town, who became the most powerful man in charge by his ruthless way to treat his competition. He is guilty of murder, blackmail and fraud, and he is the one who made me a slave. And he may be a thread to us all, as he wont like me to come back into business, and he might be dangerous to you, too."

Verialyn just shrugged.

"As a ruthless criminal and murderer he is in good company in Gorank as far as I understood it. What do you think, Phyliss?"

"I don't know." said Phyliss. "We have a lot of enemies by now, and there is something else we have to take care off." She finished dressing.

"As I said, he is a danger for us all. As long as he is alive." said Tendomus, being nervous.

"You heard her" Verialyn replied calmly. "There are a lot of people out there who are a danger to us all as long as they are alive, and we'd have our hands full killing them all. Besides ..."

She eyed the merchant more closely now

"According to your own words this particular individual will only become a specific threat once you return to your business...."

Verialyn began to suspect that his warning had had a not quite ulterior motive, after all.

She was tough, as he expected. But at least, she was clear and straight, something to deal with.
"Now there are two options. First, you can simply part with me now. You should be save, as his wrath will turn against me. Just in this case, I would ask you for some of the money, just to give me a fair chance.
Second, we will unite to deal and finish with him. So you will take a pat of the risk, but he is vey rich as well, and maybe you find a way to profit fom that. No one will be really upset if he dies."

"There is a third option." Verialyn interjected almost immediately.

"You stay with us as promised and help us get our bearings in Gorank, without immediately starting a business of your own that might draw that individual's wrath."

"Ah, I see." Kroolsheks introduction had really been a helpful start. "Even if I don't do anything, this will draw his attention sooner or later. And as soon as I start questioning here and there, he might take action first. But as you wish... I think it would be better to strike first then wait for him to take over." Tendromus didn't say anything further. He realized that he started to get hungry, but he could not afford breakfast, as the box with the money was... well, where was it? In the carriage? Or the ladies room? He could not recall. But he didn't dare looking around, afraid of meeting the eyes of the gorgon. So he only looked into the direction of Verialyn.

Verialyn pondered Tendromus' argument only very briefly, as it was mostly a rehash of what he already said. Instead she turned to her friend Phyliss and openly asked "What do you think, should we go out there and kill that man?"
