When I went to a Stones concert at SoFi Stadium a few years ago, they a strict bag policy and had lockers set up outside of the security checkpoint…for $20 each. There were sooooo many people whose bags didn’t make requirements; they had to have made bank off of that scam!Do you ever forget you have one in your pocket and have to throw it away outside a concert/event/airport? I'm a life long insomniac. The first time I remember going days without sleeping I was only 7 or 8 years old. I envy people who sleep, and sleep solid through the night. It is a very rare morning I wake up bright eyed and refreshed.I just had an 8 hour sleep... granted it was between like 5pm and 1am, but still. I'm so rested. Is this what people feel like? I need me some more of this...

It's not been lifelong for me, started in my mid 20s and has come and gone in periods.. Have you done any sleep studies? I did one and they theorize I have a circadian rhythm a lot longer than 24 hours. Really fucks up when working steady hours, though vacations help a lot.

Every once in a while I contemplate how many really important decisions have been made by folks lacking sleep (or suffering from various maladies before modern medicine). It’s a goddamn miracle the world is as good as it is!

Read an article a while back about a doctor who'd been misdiagnozing peoples maladies. One lady he claimed had a vitamin allergy of some sort, so he restricted her diet to avoid it at all costs. She started bleeding from her gums and stuff, then finally got a phone call from the hospital urging her to get re-tested - turned out the doc in question had a brain tumour that'd fucked up his reasoning skills. He died shortly after.
Stuff of nightmares.
