I yodeled the word "squirrel," poorly, then explained my woeful history of the letters E and R making my life hell by stealing my girlfriends in high school and taking them all to prom at once.

Wand3r, who brought up that trauma, called me a drama queen, if you can believe the temerity of that!

I responded, fairly, that it takes one to know one, but softened it with a beautiful term of endearment.

You just have pronounce monosyllabic “sqrl” as in many American dialects… such as mine in the Deep South
