I can put those same toppings on any other type of potato and it would be better. Like… imagine those toppings on a pile of French fries. So much better.

You’re right. However, put those toppings on scalloped potatoes and you still have to choke down the scalloped potatoes.

Maybe I’ve never had scalloped potatoes?? They look like something I’ve had and they look delicious. I’m so confused by this.. You actually think they’re gross, or you just prefer a baked potato?

The difference is that when you are done, if you have a well-baked potato, that has been buttered and rubbed in course salt before baking, then, when you are done, you have delicious, salty, buttery, crispy potato skins to eat.

I think they taste bad and have a bad consistency. Honestly though, there’s a good chance I’ve only had poorly prepared scalloped potatoes, but still.
