So there is a heated race for the office of county coroner..... like people actually compete for that job?

In some counties believe it or not, yes.

NY has a couple of elected coroners. The job itself is nothing more than administrative. Of course it helps to have some experience.

Same is true with elected Sheriff’s. Anyone can run for that job too.

Last night, I placed a grocery pickup order for this evening. It included peanut butter cookies with Reese’s Pieces baked in, apple fritters, Marie Callender’s frozen pecan pie, brownie mix and Mexican hot chocolate. I’m good to stress-eat until the ballots are in!
