So maybe we’re getting off track here. Anyway, I am thinking of one of my favorite films, The Apartment. One could write two scenes there - the probable domination/reluctance scene when Sheldrake first convinces Fran to go to the apartment with him early on in the film, and the loving, innocent scene between Fran and Baxter that takes place after the credits.
Actually just about any of Billy Wilder’s films could be a part of this. At least two have been mentioned already. How about Nintotchka? (Yes it’s Lubitsch, but Wilder wrote the screenplay) I would assume sex with Garbo would be legendary.

I have decided NOT to move forward with this idea in any organized way. I may do one, for a writer's challenge someday, but that would be it. I decided this because it's JUST a sex scene. The rest of the story is already told. It might be fun to do once, but the shine would be gone after that. However. anyone who wishes to give this a try is very welcome to do so.

I had to go back to your original post to remind myself of what you had intended. I don't know, it might work in a few cases, but maybe you have a point in not trying to rework existing movies. About fifteen years ago, I was fooling around with screenplays and I tried to rewrite about three existing movies. (There are real scripts online, although it's hard to find the final shooting script although some claim to be that.) Almost none of it was about sex, but it was a difficult task. The one I came closest to completing would have probably been at least four hours long if anyone had tried to film it. (Hey, it's a mini-series!)

It's fun perhaps, but the basic point of the board is mostly to "shoot the shit" for a while. Yeah, I know, now somebody is going to tell me that they did use an idea from here.
