Ah, not quite. About a year ago, I started a discussion regarding youth, sex education, and the general perception of what topics are and are not considered age appropriate and why. Even though everyone tried very hard to keep it non explicit and non erotic, the thread got yanked. When I inquired as to why, I was told that sexual discussion with regard to underage people (underage meaning under 18) is explicitly prohibited in any form or fashion.

As bailadora stated, you are incorrect. You can't talk about anything about being under 18. People under 18 aren't allowed to post here at all; if it's determined that someone is under 18, we remove their account. So you're "I'm under 18..." example doesn't work for that reason. But additionally, the admins have made it quite clear to us (the moderators) that no discussion of underage sex is permitted.

I understand completely why underage stories are not permitted. Laurel's explanation of this decision is very clear and reasonable. However, this debacle that you are describing is ridiculous and absolutely cowardly.

I have recently been tempted to begin contributing stories to Literotica again, but there is no way I would want my work to benefit this site in even a small way. Thank you, thank you, thank you for reminding me why I pulled my work to begin with.

No, it's not a crime, and there are sites for info and advice for the underage crowd, like Scarleteen.

But the owners of THIS site have decided it's safer to prohibit all discussion of underage sex, and that's their right. I'm sure they view the topic as a slippery slope that could lead to legal issues and/or more policing by our volunteer moderators, so they'd rather just avoid it altogether.

If you don't like the rules here, there are plenty of other sites to choose from.

Technically, it could possibly be prosecuted as a crime. Since you know the information is going to be used by someone to have sex with a minor, it could be classified as contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In some places, sex with a minor is statutory rape, regardless of whether all partners are underage and regardless of their ages. That could be multiple counts of contributing. It could even potentially land you on a sex offender list, depending on exactly how the law is worded. Now, as for whether it would actually fly in court, I couldn't tell you. As far as I know, such a case has never been prosecuted. To be legally 100% safe, though, you'd have to know all the national, state, and local laws in the world, considering you probably don't know where the poster lives.

Right now, though, it's one of those gray areas that changes frequently with each new law that's passed and each court decision.
