My karate instructor once told me you never really see until you are blind

I learned from that lesson. I learned how to feel an opponent’s aura, and I learned to see using my other senses in different ways.

And after seven years of training, I was taught the ultimate black belt lesson called the game. As I applied the principles of the game in the business world, I became very successful. [Most of karate is mental.]

I forgot about seeing without seeing, especially in the romantic arts [I never used the game in the area of love, because I wanted to see love up close].]

My girlfriend taught me to see today. In my mind, I saw her walking away from me. In her mind, she was taking a different way home. .

And for some reason, I couldn’t feel her aura. I knew it was there, but it was like she was hiding it from me. Today I closed my eyes, and she let me see her for the first time. Her aura was so soft and comfortable. I felt like I was covered in the softest teal colored silk.

I immediately felt saddened that I had only looked at her with eyes open; only believing what I could see and touch.

It was like making love spiritually. What I thought I knew before was still there, as was the part I thought didn’t want me.

But now I can really SEE, really FEEL. I know that the sun will rise in her honor tomorrow, and the moon…it will embrace me in the night.

Love is not a game like in the business world. But I learned tonight the old saying is true.

“See with your heart, and your mind will follow.”



It’s often funny when you learn something and store it in the back of your mind, only to bring it out years later and say:

“NOW I UNDERSTAND.”

Earlier today, I thought about the old poem:

“If you love something, you must set it free.”

I always thought it was true, until I spiritually held my beloved. Part of her soul joined mine, and I understand she doesn’t express love the way I do. But I also know I will never be alone.

And to quote a line from my favorite movie: “The Crow.”


“If two people love each other, and their love proves true…nothing can keep them apart.”

Remember, what you see is what you want to see, and not necessarily what is there.

One of the great loves of my life gave me this advice when we split and I found the perfect princess for me:

With this advice, given to me a year or so ago, I was able to get over the fact that I lost my best friend, who became my greatest love at that time, pick up the pieces of my heart, and try again ~ successfully finding ~ the friendship, love, trust, communication and spiritual bond I now have with my princess...the love of my lifetime.

I still have strong feelings for my ex [just platonic now, because that is all she needs from me], but more than that I have so much gratitude, for helping me to see without seeing, as I see her and my beloved princess.

Ahh the waking moments- I know those so well. I have very similar mornings, almost daily...filled with images and thought...thoughts that get carried away at times.

There was a tanned siren this morning in my shower.... a thick dense stream of about 2" in width of shampoo lather went flowing so slowly over my right breast...the contrast of the colors was severe, the flow of the lather slow, sensual, sensitizing. As I looked to watch for a moment- a bubble formed and very conveniently it stopped right on the very tip of my nipple showing through as if it were a little window to the nipple and to someone had they been looking...I wondered where the photographer is....I don't even have one of those....what a hot pic that would have made.
