shaving "down there". help girls!

You do come across as really young in your posts. You are over 18, right?

You need to go get checked out if you have an unpleasant odor and good hygiene. A healthy, fairly clean (i.e. washed with warm water within the past day) pussy doesn't smell bad.
1. im 19.
2. the "lol" was a hint that i was tring to be funny. btw, it was a fart joke, i just bring it up because you dont seem to get it.

1sexygal, Have you tried using a Gillette Venus razor? I have one and it works great! If not try using a Gillette Venus Breeze razor as it might help you. Plus they make great shaving gels too called Satin Care.

I use both and they work well. You can also put hair conditioner down there to soften things up first. As for how often that is up to you, the more often you shave the more often you get the bumps or ingrown hair. I personally like being shaved so i usually shave a few times a week or right before playing with the hubby if it's something planned, you know.

Never knew about the exfoliating... def going to try that out.

I started this when 13 or 14, i can tell you i have gotten pretty damn good with it,

I do it in the tub or shower, get everything clean and such and then use warm nearly hot water, as this opens the pours and softens the hair.

I use a mach3 razor, my bf's with a fresh blade and then gilette peach shaving gel...... take my time and try to go with the grain or hair flow pattern..... at the end i rinse with water and then again with cold water to pull the pores closed and such.

I like to trim the hair shorter first like a hair dresser would by pinching the hairs and cutting them down over my fingers with the razor first, then going back over with a new applications of gel as well.....

Waxing is the bomb, but showing my cute little flower to a gross old asian lady is icky!!!!

Good luck if you wanna pm i am help ya that way too

Sugaring????

Sugaring is a ball of "sugar" (thicker than was) that is rolled across your skin and pulled to remove the hair. No cloth strip or hot wax is used. It gives a cleaner surface because it can be used in the same area over again to ensure a softer and more hairless area.
I've never heard of sugaring before. Sounds interesting... Where can you find it at and how much does it cost?

Thanks in advance!

yep

i second hair conditioner. My wife and I found it after she bought some "Coochie Cream" ment for shaving, realized it is just hair conditioner. i use it before and after shaving works well.

Try searching for sugaring hair removal on youtube. I think there are a few different videos that tell how to do it and give you the recipe. I haven't seen any places where you can go have it done professionally; it's more an at home thing.

I'm surprised there was only one recommendation for Magic Shave. It works really well, and if you don't want to worry about mixing the powder, it does come in a pre-mixed creme. Good stuff!

The recipe for sugaring is 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup water. Mix it in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, stir it often. After it starts boiling, turn the heat to medium-low and let it simmer 25 minutes. It needs to turn a dark amber color before it's done. When it gets this color, remove from heat, let it cool 10 minutes, and put it in airtight containers.

Let it cool off before using it. Still warm, though. Wash the area you want to shave first, but just use soap - no lotion or moisturizers. Rub some baby powder or cornstarch into the skin. Take a blob of the sugar paste and roll it around your palms til it forms a ball. Apply it in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pressing it firmly. Hold your skin taut with your free hand, use a fast flicking motion and remove the paste in the same direction of your hair growth. Don't pull your hand upwards. Aim for way over to the other side. You'll get more hair out this way and it won't hurt too badly. One blob of the paste can be re-rolled and re-applied a couple times before it needs to be trashed.

Rinse the area with soap and water afterwards.

i'd definitely give waxing a go,
someone mentioned early on 30 minutes of pain?!...
not even.
my beautician has it done in 10. first time was a little painful, but no problems since. its a few seconds of gritting teeth for the pulling off of the strip, but otherwise a clean and easy result. much less hassle than shaving every day

I had terrible luck for years and I heard from a friend that mens razors work better. I tried it and it has been incredible. The softest, closest shave and no bumps (had some the first few tries but my skin was adjustng)! I know it sounds odd but mens razors are meant for more coarse hair, worth a shot. Use a moisturizing gel and a good lotion after.

"Coochie" shaving cream is AMAZING. love love love it.

Men's razors are better for shaving the bikini area because they have more blades (so you have to go over the same area fewer times) and are designed for coarser hair that clogs and kills leg razors very quickly.

Hair conditioner is good in theory but is usually heavily perfumed and full of other crap that can irritate you. Google for non-foaming shave gel. This stuff is great because it stays transparent and allows you to see what you're doing. Shave with the direction of hair growth. It can be tempting to go against it in pursuit of a closer shave but you'll give yourself ingrown follicles, which are not sexy. Accept that it will take you time to get used to the contours of your pussy and don't aim for a perfect result the first few times. Better a few stray hairs than a rash from over-shaving or cuts.

Facial toner (again, unfragranced and for sensitive skin) is actually more effective than cold water at closing pores and calming everything down, then use a fragrance free moisturiser. Be aware that many products marketed for 'intimate use' are still perfumed so shop around. If you're an active person and likely to get unwanted friction down there from clothing or whatever, wear a pantyliner to cushion yourself from this. Wear cotton panties rather than synthetic.

interesting story

Coochie shaving cream is AMAZING. love love love it.

We have a bottle of Coochie Cream in the Shower. I had used it to shave my face and my wifes friend that night mentioned to me quietly that she loved the smell of my cologne. Later we had a open conversation about shaved or not and she was a smoothie. Throbbing cock with that little tidbit.

I bet

This. If you end up liking the results of a shaved look, you may wish consider waxing. It's not all that painful, and it's absolutely worth the 30 minutes of mild discomfort. Just sayin'.

I bet you pluck your nasal hair as well pain freak? :D:D:D

Down There

ok, i have just recently started shaving "down there" and i need some help. what is the best way to do it? how do you get it smooth? how often should you do it? and is it normal (eww warning) to get little pus filled bumps the next day? plz help!

As far as I am concerned waxing is the only way to go. I leave a landing strip but everywhere else is very smooooth.

I used a schick intuition and it gave me terrible razor burn in certain areas because it doesn't pivot or flow with you. I also tried the 3 and 4 blade women's razors and noticed that I had lots of bumps- to be honest, the best thing that I have used are the really cheap multipacks of bic's womens razors. They aren't way too sharp, so they won't cut or irritate the skin quite as much, and as long as you use a good, thick shaving cream and rinse off in between, you dont get half as many of the painful bumps.

I tried using this a while ago, but it didn't take any of the hair off of my legs. All I created was really delicious lemony candy.

Does anyone have a idea on how to treat the little nasty bumps that get inflamed? I know I shouldn't shave everyday and I normally don't. But here lately it has been every 3 days. Especially when Im going to see my man. I want to make sure its nice and smooth for him. :D

You can also use thoses waterproof razors too(rechargeable kind). I use one along with a razor. Im always worried im going to cut myself. I have some nerve damage in my privates which cause a area numb and Im so worried I will cut myself there and not know it until I see blood.

I've found that if I search for ingrown hairs or slightly red areas beforehand and remove the poking out hairs with tweezers, it seems to really decrease the amount of red bumps I get, therefore a smoother shave.

I've found babyoil also really helps with lessening bumps.

I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING to remove hair "down there". I have waxed, sugared, shaved and done all but sandblast the lil suckers off. :D

So I was excited to hear about Magic Shave.

Where can I find it? Ulta? Sally Beauty Supply??

You can get it in the ethnic shaving or haircare section of drugstores and mass merchandisers. The Magic Shave site should have a partial list of retailers on it. Get the powder for sensitive skin, not the cream. I doubt you'll like it better than waxing or sugaring, especially as warmer weather approaches, but it's worth a try. Definitely do the patch test first and follow the instructions!

Uhm... >.>

I use an electric razor (Wahl brand because they're cheap and hardy) on the shortest setting. I don't like it to be completely bald down there unless I get it waxed. The electric clipper tickles like a mofo, but can be an amazing bit of foreplay if you get your man involved in the effort. :D Also, no cuts! Just go slow and it doesn't even pull at all. No pain, no sharp razors near my naughty bits  and it's cheaper than buying a lot of disposables all the time or paying for waxing (because I will not inflict that on myself personally, someone else has to do it or the strip would never get pulled off)...
