I was able to find the "Magic" cream... my WalGreens had it ... not in the "ethnic" section.. but with the shaving stuff... way down on the bottom row.. almost missed it
it didn't work quite as well as i hoped
still feel kinda bumpy.. and almost a little stubbly
i think i'm too much of a wimp though for waxing...
and i'm not ready for anything permanant.. like laser... so... sighs
guess i'm out of luck?

It may take several applications to get completely smooth. I've use it a couple times sporadically and it always leave stubble the first application or two, but seems to do better with time. The more hair it has to remove, the more stubble seems to remain. I've been trying to get my girl to use it, but she's afraid to get it on her intimates that stick out a bit from everything else. She won't shave because of the irritation afterwards.

Usually I don't tell anyone about this, but why not....

I shave, and have found a regimen that works, for me at least. Haven't had any razor burn, red bumps, or ingrowns since!

1. I do it after a hot bath or hot shower so that the water/steam can soften the hair.

2. I exfoliate. You can get a sugar scrub, or make one, but I usually opt for a facial loofah pad . They're about $1.50 at Wal Mart, and I use this with a mild soap.

3. I've experimented with lots of different things for this step... conditioner, oil, different shaving creams that all claim to be the best, but I've found that the best product, bar none, is bath junkie's shaving gel with aloe . Yes, it's expensive, but a little goes a long way, and if you only use it for shaving your pussy (I just use it on my pussy and regular shaving cream on my legs) it should last you a long, long time. They'll do it in your favorite scent, or you can have them mix a few and create your own. That's my one beauty product splurge, and I think that with the results I've gotten it's completely worth it.

4. Shave it off with a sharp razor, the more blades the better. Don't go back over any areas. If you miss a hair or two, you can always get out the tweezers. Beats razor burn.

I'm always so amazingly smooth down there... this definitely works best for me.

there shouldn't be much of a smell, less if there is little or no hair. Hair traps fluids and bacteria and can create a stronger scent.

That said, much like any other bodily fluid it will be influenced by diet. Coffee, red meats, onions alchohol, tobacco will all lend different odours and tastes to all bodily secretions.

I like to use skin-so-soft from Avon, it clogs up the razor, but it leaves me silky smooth without irritation.

Also, if you just continue to keep shaving, perhaps once per week or so, eventually you'll skin will get used to it. I can go about 3-4 weeks without hardly any regrowth, because I've been shaving for years

I agre about continuing to shave. It used to hurt me and I'd get red bumps, but now, all clear!

Magic Powder report

thought I'd report back with an update on the Magic Powder. Finally did find some at another Walgreens - exactly was poster before me mentioned, in the reg. shaving area.

I'm having VERY good success with it thus far.
Have used it twice. Last Friday and again yesterday. I am happy to report my entire region is now nearly bald.
First time, I mixed as direction - I thought anyway - equal portions powder and water. Well that made it really runny. But I left it on for approx 7 min. and wiped it off with a sea sponge thing I got at CVS. Was a little confused what to do as it says not to rinse, but come on, how can yo Not rinse that stuff off?

Yesterday I made the paste thicker and just really slathered it on good and squatted in the tub again (it's a wee messy even thicker) waiting for the 7 minutes. Am trying to take care to avoid aggravating the area too much by def. not going over 7 min and spacing the sessions out.
What's nice is that whatever little hair is remaining feels very fragile - kinda breaks off or pulls out easily.
So I'm expecting when I do this again in a day or two it'll all be gone.
The only time I experienced discomfort was trying to put lotion on after - too open I guess. So I let it airdry as much as possible, avoiding powder for now too.
Can't wait to surprise my special man with his new treat!

I am the world's worst when it comes to shaving. I always miss spots and I was wondering if there's any way I can become more adept at "cleaning up down there." I've simply developed a routine that covers everything. I start with my bikini line, and work in with strokes that get the hair. Squatting helps me get the lower areas.

What helps for me, even though I always miss spots too, is to do it while in the shower, prop my leg up on one corner of the tub, get that side and then switch sides. After that, yeah I'll agree with Sweet Erika, squatting works (especially to get the last little bits).

I don't usually shave my mons for that very reason (except it's not an allergy, just skin that's more prone to irritation). After shaving regularly for many months, I didn't usually get irritation, but then sometimes I did, so I just gave up on shaving that area, opting for a trim when necessary (though my hair is finer and more sparse, so trimming usually isn't necessary and looks worse than leaving it alone). I do get some irritation near the crease of my thighs sometimes, but that's manageable with hydrocortisone cream after shaving, and has become less prone to irritation with regular shaving long-term.

I am a male and dont like all the hair that builds up(abbs down around to lower back area) and i really dont feel like shaving twice a week and having the hair grow back faster and darker

is there a better method where i could get away with maybe...3-4 times a month?

You might also want to dig deeper in the threads on the How To board because I think I might have seen something there.
