It was late June as he finished his orientation at Bank of America's Kansas City headquarters. Fresh out of school, Billy had worked hard to get through school, and took on a massive load of debt, grants only go so far. Going to work had been an imperative, joining the frat brothers on vacation through the summer had been a great dream, but hardly practical.

Who ever designed the orientation certainly knew how to waste time. Four days on ongoing boredom, only to be released to your job on a Friday morning. Just enough time to learn something right before a weekend to forget it.

He settled into his cube forty-five minutes before the start of his work day to arrange his desk. He heard footsteps coming down the row of cubes and glanced over his shoulder to say "Good Morning."

His eyes widened involuntarily as he saw the person to whom he was speaking. She was tall, nearly 5'10" tall and lithe. Nearly blue black hair hung down in a ponytail just past her scapula. Her waist was narrow and it flared beautifully at her hips. Trying not to stare at her, he averted his eyes and turned back to his desk.

He caught just a glimpse as her face lit into a semi smile as she slid into the cube across from him. Swallowing, Billy stood and crossed the ailse. Proffering his hand, "Hi, I'm Billy."

Serena had been working for Bank of America for two years. She was still in school herself, but she was only a semester or two from graduating. Going to school while holding a full time job wasn't easy, especially when she had a very demanding husband at home. She was slowly beginning to realize how unhappy she was with her life. She felt like she wasn't really going anywhere in her job, getting homework done when her husband was bothering her was difficult and it felt like she was never going to finish school.

She sighed softly as she stepped into work. She took the route to her cubicle the same way she did every morning. The cubicle across from her had been empty for almost three months. Today, however, there appeared to be someone occupying it. The man turned around and she was startled for a moment by how classically handsome he was. Dark hair, piercing blue eyes, a build she could see under his suit was lean.

She smiled briefly and set her purse down on her desk, taking a seat in her chair. She swiveled to face him as he stood and crossed the aisle to greet her. "Hey, I'm Serena. So you're the new guy, huh? Glad they finally got someone in here." She could feel herself blushing slightly, her cheeks growing warm. It had always been that way, whenever a hot guy talked to her, she got all school-girl giddy and blushed, falling all over herself and babbling incessantly.

Billy gave her a crooked grin, one that his mother had always called his charming asset, and quipped, "Yep, that's me. The FNG who doesn't know anything."

For a second he looked at her face and pondered the blush, and decided she was absolutely pretty with that pink halo gracing her cheeks. The dark blue suit highlighted her eyes nicely and he was about to be really stupid and ask her about having lunch with him when he saw the wedding band.

Saved from the embarrassment of asking out of line Billy asked, "I hope you don't mind showing me the ropes, and that I won't be too much of a bother."

"Are you kidding? I'd teach a monkey the ropes if it meant a little less work for me. Don't get me wrong, I like my job and I'm not lazy or anything, but since Melissa left a few months back I've had way more than I can handle." It had been stressing her out beyond belief. Added on to that all her other responsibilities outside of work and she was this close from cracking and having a melt down.

The crooked grin had her blushing even harder. Handsome men smiling at her turned her belly to mush. She knew she was wrong for her reaction. She was a married woman. Unhappily so, but still married. She wasn't in the habit of having affairs or flirting with other men. But she couldn't help her reaction, it was the way it had always been.

"Has anyone given you a tour or anything?"

Billy nodded, "Yeah, kind of. It was a blur mostly, but I guess the first few days are like that, aren't they?"

He wondered what she was thinking about that caused her to blush so much. He knew that he was fairly attractive, but nothing all that spectacular, at least to his own eyes.

As they chatted at length about the job and daily routines, Billy stole a glance at Serena's breasts and tried his best to not stare at them. They were certainly a handful, maybe more, depending on the bra.

He had to clear his mind and quick, otherwise he would be sprouting a woody in front of Serena with no real explanation. "Uh, so, where is the coffee pot again?" he asked.

The longer they talked, the more the blush would fade, but she always felt a little bit nervous talking to men that were not her husband. She also felt a little bit bad about it, too. She wasn't happy in her marriage, but she knew that if her husband was aware that she was talking to another man (even if he was a co-worker), he would be insanely jealous and give her a hard time about it. She would have to be careful not to mention Billy to him.

"Right, coffee. You're gonna need it for this super exciting job of ours." She smiled and stood up, heading toward the break room where they kept the pot of coffee on a constant brew. "There's creamer, sugar and sometimes we get lucky and they'll bring in some of those flavored creamer shots. I love the French Vanilla ones." She gestured to the refrigerators that occupied the room, "Feel free to leave your lunch in there, but don't be surprised if something goes missing. Someone around here thinks it's funny to eat other people's food." She shrugged and gave him another smile.

She poured herself a cup of coffee and added some cream and sugar. "I didn't have time to pack myself a lunch this morning. Did you bring one? Cause if you didn't, we could maybe go across the street to the deli."

Billy backed out of the way and followed Serena toward the break room, trying like all hell to not stare at the way her hips rolled with each step. She had an easy smooth grace, something like a dancer's.

Try as he may, Billy could not quite clear his mind of her physical presence despite trying to concentrate on what she was saying.

It wasn't like Billy had any commitments. He had broken up with his girlfriend when she decided to move to St. Louis, and he headed across the state to KC. His folks were down in Poplar Bluff, as was most of his family, consisting of cousins, uncles and aunts.

He already knew that most of his dinners were going to be alone, no reason that lunches had to be as well was there?

Billy grinned again, "Yeah, that would be great. Do we have structured lunches or go any time?"

She leaned against the counter, staring down into her coffee. "Oh, no, we can go any time. But it's only an hour, so if you ever plan to drive anywhere, you should probably plan on eating at your desk." Lately Serena hadn't even been taking a lunch because of how much work she'd had to do. Now that she had some help, though, she should be able to relax a little bit.

She glanced back up at him and shrugged, "It's a good job. It pays the bills. I think you'll like it here." She waited until Billy had his coffee prepared and then walked with him back to their cubicles. It took her a few minutes to explain the reports and projects they were currently working on and then they got down to work.

The first couple of hours passed with relative swiftness and then as Serena's stomach began to growl, she glanced up from her computer monitor. "I'm gettin' kinda hungry, are you ready to go to the deli?" She was looking forward to spending some time away from work and getting to know her handsome new coworker.

Billy listened attentively as Serena explained the project they were working on and the basic reporting system that they used. It was an old system that was half as robust as it probably should have been.

At least that was his story if anyone caught him zoning out.

In truth, the smell of Serena's perfume seemed to tickle his nose at every turn. It took him nearly an hour to suppress the thought and get to working with the reports, testing them and seeing what the out put would be and how that output matched to what Serena had shared with him earlier.

Her dulcet voice sliced through his concentration as she asked, "I'm gettin' kinda hungry, are you ready to go to the deli?"

Before he could answer he was aware that his throat had gone dry and his heart started hammering away. Rolling his shoulders, he quipped, "Ma'am, I am ready to go where ever you take me."

He was rewarded with a smile, and a small blush as she turned and stood. It took them ten minutes to get off the floor, seemingly every one wanted to talk to Serena, or perhaps look him over, but he sensed that was something else.

As they got on the elevator, blessedly empty, Billy asked, "They do that every day to you?"

She blushed again and bit her lip. "Careful, I might lead you astray!" Where had that come from? She never flirted with people in the office and her she was firing back a quiplike she was at a bar truing to pick up a guy. It made her blush even harder and she had to turn around and start walking away lest she completely embarrass herself.

It did take them a few minutes to get out of the building. Serena had been there so long that she was easily able to answer most of the questions some of the newer folks had, and some of the more seasoned ones as well. She blushed again as Billy called attention to it with his question.

"Oh, um, not always. But its end of the quarter report time so there are more questions than usual." She explained modestly as she finally was able to lead him across the street to the deli.

Billy nodded thoughtfully during the ride down the elevator which took nearly forever, and no time at all. They stopped on every floor where one or two people got on, and if anyone got off, two replaced them. As the lift filled Billy found himself being maneuvered closer to Serena until they were standing side by side, the smallest of gaps between the backs of their hands.

For a brief moment he considered brushing against her, to feel what she felt like. Then the image of her wedding band flashed through his mind, and Billy quashed the thought. That would be nothing but trouble.

Besides, one should not 'dip their stick where they work.' Or at least that is what his paps always said.

That said, the faint scent of her shampoo and perfume tickled at his nose, keeping his mind on her. Part of him wondered idly if she blushed when making love, wondered if her blue eyes would sparkle as she came.

The elevator reached the bottom floor bringing Billy from his thoughts. They stepped from the lift side by side and walked toward the revolving door leading outside. With out thinking about it, he placed his hand in the small of her back and said, "After you ma'am."

To Serena, the ride seemed to take forever and the constant ebb and flow of people pushed she and Billy closer and closer together. The heady scent of his masculinity accented by some lightly fragranced, but panty-wetting cologne, was making it difficult for her to think straight. Their hands were practically touching and she could feel the warmth of his body heat radiating off of him.

Serena's husband had never been able to make her come without the aid of a vibrator. She had the feeling that Billy could make her come just by touching her. She shook her head, wondering what the hell was wrong with her. She was a married woman, for Pete's sake. She had a husband. Thinking about other men was wrong.

But when they exited the elevator and she felt his hand at the small of her back she felt her pussy muscles contract in response. She almost stumbled but she managed to get through the revolving door without incident. But she was blushing hard and wishing his hand hand landed a few inches lower. She cleared her throat and gave him a nervous smile, "It's just right over there." She walked to the corner and pushed the button to activate the WALK sign and stared straight ahead, trying to think of anything other than what Billy's hands would feel like all over her.

He watched as Serena seemed to draw in on herself at the light. He tried thinking it through as to what might have happened, and concluded touching her had made her withdraw from him, while her face had blushed and maintained that glow all the while.

The sun beat down on them, the mid June heat beginning to soak into Billy and erase the vague chill of the office building. He glanced at her again as the light turned in their favor and asked, "Sorry, I probably should not have done that inside."

"What?" She turned to look at him, eyes blinking in some confusion. She couldn't understand what he meant. But then it dawned on her. "Oh, no. Its fine. Really. Im just a little jumpy. I had a bad morning before I got to work and I've been thinking about it all day. Im sorry if im a little bit of a space cadet." She explained apologetically.

She walked across the street as the signal changed. The deli was pretty crowded that time of day but the sandwiches were worth it. "If you like pastrami, I recommend you get that. Otherwise their Italian sandwich is good, too." The sandwiches were enormous and could easily be split between two people. "We can share one if you don't want a whole one."

Billy could not quite believe what he heard and his breath caught in his throat. Next to necking or screwing, he could not think of many things as intimate as literally sharing a meal with a woman, other than perhaps doing so off of each other's bodies. Blood began to flow straight to his loins as he nodded.

"Sure," he said, his voice suddenly thick, much like the member some two feet below his throat, "I would love to share it with you."

They joined the back of the line, standing nearly shoulder to shoulder. "Though I must insist that it is my treat."

Serena glanced up at him as he stood next to her in line. She didn't know him well enough to sense the changes in his voice or anything, but he sounded a little funny. She didn't comment, though, she just smiled. "Great. Pastrami, then?" She gave him a sidelong glance and shrugged, "You can buy lunch if I can buy dessert."

The line progressed slowly, but steadily and they finally got to the counter to order. She ordered the sandwich and let Billy pay for it, then bought a cinnamon roll to share for dessert. They found a table for two in the corner of the deli and snagged it before anyone else had a chance.

It always amazed Billy how small tables could be. This particular table was not much larger in diameter than the sandwich they were about to share, the cinnamon roll, and two medium drinks. Even then their noses would not be more than fourteen or so inches apart.

He spun the sandwich to an end pointing at each of them and breathed in the aroma of the beef. "Smells good," he said while thinking, much like your perfume.

He splayed his legs wider than normal to avoid making what might amount to unwanted footies, placing his feet outside of hers by a considerable distance. So much so that the one away from the wall was precariously far into the narrow aisle running from the back of the shop to the front.

Billy took a bite of the sandwich and chewed the bread while the meat seemed to melt away in his mouth. "Damn, that's a good sandwich."

She muttered some sort of agreement to that sentiment and Billy smiled. Nodding at the ring bound around her graceful finger, "Any kids?"

Serena was starting to notice the pains Billy was going to to avoid touching her. She found it somewhat amusing because he was respecting her marriage, but also because he just looked funny doing it. "You're going to trip someone with those enormous feet of yours." The table was small so touching each other was going to be difficult to avoid.

She picked up her half of the sandwich and began to nibble at it. The mustard and pickles and cheese were all culminating on the bread and the pastrami to make it a completely heavenly sandwich. She might have even moaned a little bit, her eyes closed as she chewed slowly, savoring the bite.

She opened her eyes when he asked about kids and she shook her head immediately. "No, my husband doesn't want any." It was a little bit of a sore subject for her. She had dated and married James with the plans of a big family and a happy life. But it was almost like he'd transformed into a giant asshole the minute they tied the knot. He wanted sex all the time, but no kids, he wanted her to work and go to school at the same time, even though he made enough money to support both of them while she went to school full time, she was expected to clean the house and keep the books, all while he sat in front of the television with his hand in his pants, jerking off to the porn he constantly watched. She was miserable. And she looked it for a moment before she shrugged, "What about you? Girlfriend? Wife? Kids?"

Billy shook his head, "No, she moved back to St. Louis, and I had the job offer here, so we split."

He glanced down at his foot and saw that indeed it was out pretty far, and moved it in, but to get it close enough to the table, and his knee for that matter, he calf rested against hers. For a moment her leg jerked away then after a bite or two of the sandwich came back to rest against his leg.

"How long have you been married?"

Serena nodded. Breakups were not very fun to talk about. Neither were bad marriages. As his leg came in and touched hers, she realized how very intimate the setting was. There was just no way around touching each other, even above the table. She was constantly feeling her hand brush against his. She tried to pull in on herself, but it was futile and she gave up after a few moments.

"Almost two years." She sighed, "I know, I was really young." She gave a nervous laugh, "But I was in love and I didn't care what anyone else said." She wished now that she had listened. She was in a loveless marriage that bordered on abusive. It wasn't at all what she imagined being married would be like. "Not as young as my mom, though. She got married when she was 17 and had me when she was 18. We're really close."

She really wanted to get away from the topic of their various relationships because they didn't seem to be much fun to talk about. At least, not for her. So she lifted her brows and hesitated before taking another bite of her sandwich. "How do you spend your free time? Are you a sports fan or do you have any quirky hobbies I should know about?"

Billy laughed and said, "Yeah quirky would be the word I guess. I like hunting, fishing, drinking beer, and..." He paused a moment wondering how he would finish that off, and then shrugged, "Other guy stuff."

The feel of her legs against his, the occasional caress of hands was maddening. Billy thought this would be a great venue to bring a date. His heart was hammering away and truth be told he wasn't sure how he was going to stand when the time came without being overtly obvious about his state of excitement.

"How about you?" Billy looked up into her clear blue eyes, and quipped, "Do you like fishing, and stuff?"

"Oh, very manly hobbies. I approve." She grinned and took another bite of her sandwich. She chewed it down and swallowed before answering his question.

She lifted a shoulder, "I'm a little bit of a baseball fan. I really like the Cardinals." She sounded a little sheepish about it. "I like the idea of fishing- sitting out on the lake, drinking beer, chatting, getting some sun... but I have to admit to being a huge animal lover and the thought of those poor fish being hooked just breaks my heart. I know, I know, I'm such a girl."

She laughed a little and inhaled the scent of his cologne. She felt a shiver of attraction start at her spine and work its way down. "God, you smell good. I don't think I've ever smelled a cologne that amazing." The words just popped out before she realized what she was saying and then she blushed. Hard.

Billy had just about allowed his mind to wander to thinking of Serena on a pontoon in a bikini while drinking beer when she blurted out, "God, you smell good. I don't think I've ever smelled a cologne that amazing."

If there was any chance to get his hammering heart and hard cock under control before leaving the small table, she just ensured that it had been smashed under a sledge hammer.

He reached out and wrapped his hand over hers and caressed it gently. "Thanks," he whispered around the lump in his throat. "Believe it or not, it is Old Spices' Fiji scent."

He didn't move his hand, and used his thumb, used a slow movement along the back of her hand. "I should admit that you..."

He reached out and put his hand over hers. His voice took on such a seductive and sensual quality that she felt her panties moisten immediately. Fuck, she wanted this guy to do really naughty things to her. But a siren went off in her head, reminding her that she was married and that this was wrong. But Jesus if she couldn't bring herself to take her hand away.

She was honestly surprised to hear that his cologne wasn't some expensive brand and that it was Old Spice of all things. She idly wondered if the same scent would smell as good on James as it did on Billy. Probably not.

The circles he was tracing on the back of her hand felt like a brand, and the heat was going straight to her pussy. "Hmm? Admit what?" She asked, practically in a daze from the way he set her body on fire with the simplest touch.

Billy swallowed and said softly, "that I, I, I wish we were alone so you could... We could..."

He shook his head a moment, "Damn." Thoughts of her husband flicked in his mind and the song "On the other hand" crept into his mind as well.

Billy stood up, his hard member pressing out against his boxers and slacks. A dark pool of pre-cum had soaked through his slacks and he closed his suit jacket trying to cover it up.

He looked at Serena, and he knew she had seen it. Her face was so red that it resembled a soda can. Holding his hand out he helped her stand. "W, we should head back."
