It is a wonderful thread... thank you Sienna... I am so surprised it survived the purge of copywrited pictures... I lost some wonderfully delightful threads during those days (had one dedicated to cute and saucy expressions). I guess that because it is on the GB, it escaped notice....

I loved your shoe story...:D and hope all is well with you and family....

My Views On Naturism...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't disagree with naturism.

But I don't think I could walk around naked in the open all day long.

On a beach is ok. Afterall I have been topless sunbathing in spain since I was 13 and in the home I often strip naked to relax as long as I am alone or with someone I trust.

One of my writing sisters on Sensual Venus, Lady Isabelle, is a naturist. She and her family and many of her friends do spend lots of their vacation time close to nature in the open and they find it completely enlightening and very healthy.

I often wondered about the erotic implications of being a naturist and actually it is all about your state of mind. Erotica is afterall in the mind. You can be switched-on by anything really. And the naked human body is taken as a natural part of nature by naturists and so is more celebrated as simply being natural rather than erotic.

Clothing does actually carry a great deal of eroticism more than beautiful naked bodies. Consider how erotic certain fashions can be...the art of simply "hiding" your secrets in a tantalising way.

Food for thought perhaps??? :)

I agree with you 100% on the *art* of selective clothing, Sienna :) I love the mystery of having to "look around" a piece of clothing to see what's beneath. The brain is the most erogenous organ in the human body and a healthy imagination is priceless !

Hi Druce :)

Imagination is certainly priceless...

The imagination used in the right context can provide both wealth, education and entertainment.

However, used in the wrong way it can create a lot of fear and anxiety.

Art is the use of our imagination. We are the only creatures on earth that have it and use it.

And, imagination in sex?....well I think that speaks for itself. ;)

Imagination

Hi Sienna :)

Imagination is truly a wonderful thing. It can make us happy, but it can also make us very unsure of ourselves when we let it run away on it's own with no basis in fact.

I think imagination can also push you and make you do more and think more....and it can make for some *fun* times. hehehehe

*hugs* to a beautiful and imaginative woman :)

Hi Druce :)

That is why we dream...can you "imagine" that our world as it is today has been shaped by many thousands of dreams over the past hundreds of thousands of years?

Also makes you think of how mankind developed not only societies, but what we seriously believe in such as our various cultures and religions.

Hi Sienna  :rose:

Yes....and without those dreamers and "imaginers" we wouldn't be here today. I am always amazed at the courage and will that these people had to go through with developing their ideas in the face of sometimes very harsh criticism. If specific people had wilted under that criticism, many things would just not have come into existence. The United States, for example..... hehehehe Sorry couldn't resist that dig at Mother England.... ;)

Seriously, can imagine what would have happened if people like Locke or Darwin had been shouted down ?? *shudder*

In my studies, I learned something recently...

For hundreds of thousands of years, our ancestors lived to survive and nothing progressed for all that time.

Then one day, they began to make sense of their dreams...their imaginings. And suddenly they began to get ideas from those imaginings and dreams....even started to THINK...and then plan and then invent.....and work out certain ways that things should be done. They then began to pass their ideas to others and so it went on.......they created human progress and today we are still part of that process, forever changing, building, inventing and ....

But then...war itself is now more technical. And basic human cruelty still exists. Will that ever change?

:)

Unfortunately, it probably never will, Sie :( As long as there are people with misguided imaginations, there will be people who abuse others, sometimes even just for the sheer rush of doing it.

I don't know if you all heard about this over on the other side of The Pond, but we recently had 2 snipers kill 13 people over a 3-4 week period. They eventually ended up catching these guys and one of them was a 17-year old who has even bragged about killing the people while he was in his jail cell. As a 17-year old, he is considered a minor in the state in which the trial is to be held. Some want to try him in another state in which he committed other crimes so that they can get the death sentence.

I ask, who is more cruel here ????

Passin' thru Sie.
