Sinegard Academy for the Wayward

Stepping to the edge of the pit Ravyn looked down at the garbage pit. “I’ve never seen what happens when a Slime hits a living being. I might like it.”

The Minotaur stepped up beside her, looking down at the group in the cess pool. He looked ready to murder anyone coming his way, she looked ready to fuck anybody coming her way. But that would probably end in death as well.

Pulling her dress open she bared her tits and smiled at Angus. “If you can fuck me well enough, I’ll let you live.”

Gem

“I’m ok… but I f’ing hate rats.” She complained as she cast a small glow lamp. The showed they were standing in water, but only knee deep. If the water was moving, it was moving slowly. There was slime on everything, and filth in the water. It might have been an old sewer, but not active anymore. However, it smelled really bad.

That was when Ravyn and The Minotaur came to the edge and peered down at them.

The Ravyn look-alike did all the talking… and ended with telling Angus “If you can fuck me well enough, I’ll let you live.”

Van spoke up before Angus.

“Come on, you can do better than that! Where is the gloating and telling us we’ll never save Ravyn before the ritual. That we are all going to die in these catacombs. Fuck! If you are not even going to try to be evil… just go home.” Van said in disgust.

“Why gloat, you’ll die down there.” Ravyn replied. “And you won’t save her. You’re all going to die down here.” And then she smiled. Her eyes wide with glee at th pain they’d suffer agonizing deaths. The walls were to high to climb, the had no rope or climbing gear. And out of sight for a moment ‘Angus’ activated lever that opened a passageway on the same level as the prisoners.

“If you’re really really good, Angus. You might lead your friends to freedom. Or the Cube will get you. Maybe the green slime. Giant Rats, Spiders. Maybe even a Homeless Beggar or two down there.”

“But then Gem could just use daddy's money to pay them off. Or she could fuck them. Did you ever apologize to the staff after they lost their jobs? No, that would be beneath you, much like he was will you were fucking him. Toss away the staff just like you tossed away daddy’s cash.”

Pushing on a stone, Ravyn waved her fingers in a rather condescending gesture as the floor sealed back into place above them.

Van

Van turned to everyone

“Those are not real villains. They suck at it” He explained.

“While you were asking questions… I could have gotten us all out of here.” Gem complained

“I was trying to get them to us their plan.” Van said with a shrug of his shoulders.

“Their plan is to have us trapped in this sewer. Well, I don’t want to walk around down here. What is our plan?” Gem asked.

Ramzaheed
Thinking quickly while everyone else was distracted, he started to pull together all of the scraps of material that he could find. He really didn’t care at the moment if anyone noticed what he was doing. He just started crafting the first thing that came to his mind, which just so happened to be a bone and leather ladder. He was sure how strong it would be or how far it would reach, but he knew that if they didn’t get out of that pit as quickly as possible they very well could die just from the fumes in the place. As he was working fast and hard on the ladder he said, “If this works we’ll only have one shot so the person who is the lightest that can still blow a hole in the roof be ready to climb fast.”

In the Darkness of the tunnel a strange slurping noise echoed, it was hard to tell if it was getting closer, moving away, or was stationary. But the rather distinctive sound of Alligators – maybe Crocodiles – could be heard as well.

Then shots rang out from automatic weapons, and men screamed. “Oh God, No. Aggghh.. Please no. fucking shoot me damn you. Shoot me.” Followed by a single burst of fire. Then running boots splashing and echoing. The sewers, if that’s what this was, was massive.

A loud thunk, the walls shook, and the boots were no longer running in the darkness.

Angus, Gem, Callo, Van

“Ignore those sounds. They are an illusion. Ramzaheed, stop that, you are with a mage.” Gem said as if she was insulted. “Everyone, get ready, I’m opening a hole in the ceiling.” She reached out a touched Ramzaheed. “You can fly now”

“Does anyone else need help going through it?” Gem asked

“I don’t.” Angus stated. Van and Callo did not need help.

“Ok… give me one second, before joining me” Gem instructed. “Both of these creatures are demons. I’m planning on banishing them to hell”

Suddenly there was a hole in the ceiling, followed by a massive fireball. Then Gem was standing above the hole.

Both the Ravyn look-alike, and demon minotaur had been knocked on their backs from the fireball explosion. Gem had the initiative. She rammed her power staff right up the Ravyn-look alike pussy.

“Good bye” She said. The lightning bolt torn the Succubus into two pieces. She was dead and her body returned to hell.

The minotaur demon got up and was ready to cut Gem’s head off. But Angus blocked the strike with his axe, sparks flying.

“Time to fuck you UP” Angus yelled. It was personal this time. And Angus was putting everything he had into his axe blows. The demon was powerful too. It realized that it must kill Gem. So with deadly intent, it hacked at Gem. She quickly stepped aside, although she was almost cut in two. Seeing this Angus swiftly lays into the demon’s flank, with two handed swings of his axe. It bit into the demon’s thigh, hip and forearm.

With a growl of pain the Demon backhanded Angus, the blow sent him flying into Ramzaheed. This was Van's opportunity. He dove in and stabs into the knee of the demon. Gem also struck with her staff directly into the demon's crotch

''That was hard to hit… such a small target” She complained. The pain and a female ridiculing his maleness, drove the demon into more of a rage. The creature aimed at the blindfolded mage. This time he would not miss.

Shaking his head clear, Angus was back into the fray, leaping, his axe glowing, it came down taking off the demon’s left arm above the elbow. The demon roared out in agony as it's arm and it’s axe fell to the ground. Then suddenly it disappeared.

“What happened to it” Angus asked.

“I banished it” Gem said with a smile.

“You robbed me of that kill!” He said.

“Sorry” Gem giggled.

“Hey, how can you see so well, wearing a blindfold?” Van asked.

“I cast clairvoyance on my blindfold.” She whispered to van

“Let’s rescue Ravyn” Angus said heading down the passageway to the ritual room.

The ritual room was inscribed, carved would be more accurate, with what appeared to be the same runes that Ravyn had used in her ritual circle. Some of the Runes might have been shifted to be in different locations, but they looked extremely similar.

A door to the side was chained with wizard Locked chains. The door was warded against magic. Laying on the bed, Ravyn was chained to the four corners. The chains were made of a holy steel and inscribed with runes of binding. The walls, doors, ceiling, and floor were also heavily inscribed, every inch. There also orbs of light filling the room, leaving no space for shadows to form.

Another door had similar treatment, but looking through the very narrow window revealed it was filled with boxes, urns, coffers, and tubes.

Around the room were piles of bones, and as the group entered the Ritual chamber the piles of bones stood up, collecting weapons as the skeletons finished forming.

Ramzaheed
“Shit, now there’s skeletons,” Reamzaheed said, “Angus, try to brake down this door while the rest of us deal with these.” He pointed to the door that Ravyn was behind. He then decided to use some sort of turn undead rune work using the energy from his blade. ‘I hope this works’ he thought

The Skeleton’s paused for a second, and even looked at each other, before the leaped across the distance and started swinging. Three skeletons stayed across the room and launched arrows with painfully deadly accuracy. They were even shooting through their allies, to sink arrows into meaty fleshlings.

One wore a ring that it used to fire lightening across the room arching it between Ramazheed’s group. Another Pile rose up as a rather large monstrosity of broken bones mashed together giving it extra arms and a head that wasn’t even humanoid, and it was at least two feet taller than the rest. Looking at Angus it ran at him, the closer it got the more obvious it became that bits of metal were fusing bones together.

And the whole monstrous entity had a glow around it. It had been be-spelled by something. Perhaps a defensive spell? A ward vs… somehing.

Van, Callo, Angus, and Gem

A shambling group of undead crowded the room. Skeletons! Lots of skeletons. Animated and held together by some evil power, the fleshless bones wore random pieces of ancient armor and wielded rusty weapons in their bony grips.

They turned toward the party and toward the source of the holy light that all undead hated, Ramzaheed. Gem wanted to help with a spell, the arrow being fired across the room had her pinned down.

Angus had given the door a blow from his axe, but then turned to face the pile of bones coming at him. Van, wide-eyed, counted at least ten skeletons shuffling at him. He even heard ragged gasps and wheezing coming from their slack-jawed mouths! It was weird because skeletons don’t breathe, they don’t have lungs.

“That what smoking will do to you!” Van said to them, as he puffed on the cigarette in his mouth.

He could have sworn that the hatred in their eyes grew stronger after his comment. He hesitated for only one more moment before Van charged forward. Using a two-handed swing, he attacked the first skeleton in his path. The blade connected where its neck met its shoulder, and the thing collapsed with barely a gasp. Van moved like a ninja, he said nothing, only an occasional puff of cigarette smoke. He spun and slashed at another undead, chopping it in half with no problem at all.

Callo in human form appeared from the shadows behind the arrow firing skeletons. They turned on her, dropping their bows and pulling out swords. Their ancient weapons were raised swinging at Callo. The shadow dragon had a mace in her hand. She parried a few swings and then smashed the knee cap of one. She quickly moved onto another.

The second skeleton was more difficult and as she could not land a solid hit with her mace. But neither could the skeleton’s sword connect. Finally, she batted away a sword blow so well that the skeleton lost its balanced. She smashed the mace into it and it toppled backwards. It crashed to the floor and literally fell apart.

There were multiple skeletons surrounding Ramzaheed. Angus wanted to help, but he had his hands full with the big skeleton. He had either parried each of its strikes, or he let his enchanted armor protect him. His axe had hit the pile of bones a few times, but it seemed to have little effect on the creature.

Gem tried to help him, using magical fire to immolate the bones. But that only made it harder for Angus, as he was now fighting a burning pile of bones!

As the monstrous amalgamation of bones attacked Angus it’s weapons started making dents and scratches on the minotaur’s armor. Were it’s weapons enchanted, just not stronger than the armour?

When it was engulfed in flames it started wailing even harder on Angus, several arms using weapons as other arms moved to grapple and pin the Minotaur from using his own blades. Each step pushed them closer to the wall, limiting the minotaur’s attacks more and more. If Angus got pinned... he was well... burnt steak.

The skeletal Archers re-aimed, firing a massive volley at Gem as swords, axe, and spear bearers attacked Ram and Van. The Ring Bearer Launched a volley of Chain lightening at the group as a whole. But targeting Ramzaheed first and arching from him to the rest.

Ramzaheed
Just as Ramzaheed realized that his Turn Undead rune wasn’t working he felt the energy from lightning coming at him.
I can use this, and proceeded to redirect and control the lightning causing it to go after the skeletons. Starting with the ones right in front of him and ending at the skeletal abomination.

The battle in the room was chaotic with lightning bolts, arrows, axe and fire seemingly everywhere. The air was thick with the scent of ozone, smoke, dust, and decay. The clinking of bones, parrying of weapons, and the screams from the heroes echoed through the room. The horde of skeleton warriors had grown smaller as Callo, Van, and now Ramzaheed’s redirection of the lightning bolt blasted the skeletons with their red glowing eye sockets.

However, at the center of the chaos stood a towering minotaur with cut-off horns battled the burning skeleton monstrosity. Angus gripped his greataxe, the blade glinting menacingly in the flickering fire light, as he bellowed roar reverberated through the room.

Angus was almost pinned against a wall by the monstrosity. He needed to make some space. He aimed at one of the creature’s legs. The clash was thunderous as Angus blade met bone followed by the sickening crunch sound of bones breaking. The leg collapsed and Angus leap through the opening.

The pile of bones however countered with a swift slash of one of its arms. The blow ripped through Angus’ golden armor and cracked the minotaur’s ribs. Angus was spun around by the attack. The great axe swinging in wide arc cleaving through the skeleton’s arm with a single strike. But another arm appeared to replace it.

The battle raged on, each side refusing to yield. Angus and the skeleton clashed again and again, their duel becoming the focal point of the chaotic melee. The pile of bone tried to cut off Angus’ head, he dodged the attack.

"Ha! You'll need to be quicker than that, you fleshless moron! I bet you don't even have any brain matter left inside that skull of yours!" That gave Angus an idea! With a mighty heave he threw his axe at the pile of bone’s skull, shattering it into a cloud of bone fragments. The pile of bones crumbled to the ground, and the remaining skeletons fell lifeless, their dark magic dissipating.

The room fell silent, save for the heavy breathing of the exhausted heroes. Until Angus also fell to his knees, blood leaking down his side.

“I think I need a healing spell” He gasp and then was out.

Gem

Gem and managed to avoid a majority of the arrows fired in her direction. But even with magic eyes, she did not avoid them all. Three arrows hit her. One in her arm, another in her leg, and most concerning one in her right chest.

Walking down the hall, boots snapping with each step. A third clicking punctuated the steps. A white ball of light illuminated the hall as the figured walked towards them. Step by step the clicking got closer. Stepping into the room, a black cloak billowed around the figure, the light gleamed on black leather.

Stopping just inside the room the figure looked around before pulling back it’s hood and revealing red hair. “Once again I find you in a place you shouldn’t be.” She said as she looked at Gem.

Moving closer to the healer she crouched. “This might hurt.” she said with a smile before it dissolved and the wound pumped blood before it closed, leaving a scar.

Looking at the others she shrugged, “That’s what I’ve got. Didn’t come planning for a lot of healing.”

"Your group might want to invest in better magic, or scroll, maybe some rings of restoration. After you explain why you've carved a summoning circle in the floor." She finished, cocking her head to the side.

Ramzaheed
Not even giving the woman a second look, Ramzaheed practically ran to Angus and using the energy from his Blade of Eternal Flame started using healing runes. “Damn it! You better not die on me!,” he exclaimed.

Gem

The pain was horrable but the wound was repaired. She cast another healing spell on herself and then she was getting up to help Angus. Ramzaheed was already there and healed his wound.

Gem wanted to hate the guy for saving her boyfriend, but Angus needed saving. Ramzaheed was a friend. He was there to help. She needed to stop thinking with her pussy and start thinking with her head.

She walked over as Angus was waking up. His eyes just happened to fall on Gem first.

“Gem, you saved me” He said.

“Actually, Ramzaheed did” She confessed said placing a hand on Ramzaheed’s shoulder. “He is a good friend” She added.

"Thanks" Angus said "I guess I'm not going to die on you"

Callo and Van

“Your group might want to invest in better magic, or scroll, maybe some rings of restoration. After you explain why you've carved a summoning circle in the floor." The Might Redhead Warrior said.

Van and Callo walked up to the Archon. Callo used her hand to shield her eyes from the bright light.

Van did the talking “Archon Magdalena, you missed all the fun” he said pointing to all skeleton bones on the ground. Then he took a puff on his cigarette. “We came down here to save Ravyn. Someone snatched her and put in that circle. Angus here was about to bust the door down when the skeleton decided to stop us.”

“Oh and we also killed the two demons that were previously after M’kael. And no we don’t know where M’Kael is. Last we heard he was in hell.” Van finished explained.

“Want to bust the door down and help us save Ravyn? He asked.

The Archon:
“Why would I assist you in your criminal activities?” The Red head said looking at the pentagram on the floor.”Powerful magics involved.” Tapping her spear against the rune she pointed. “Greater Demon, fire, Rage, Revenge.”

“Your group is playing outside your field. I would recommend you leave her. But it’s your call.”

Ramaheed
After giving a sigh of relief when Angus woke up Ramzaheed looked over at the new comer. “Long time no see Little Archie, looks like you’ve grown a bit,” he said with a smirk on his face.
Standing up he walked over to the remains that was the skeleton with the ring of lightning and started to look for the ring.
“I’m afraid that if we don’t rescue her things will get way worse than even those snobs you work for can handle.,” Ramzaheed blatantly said, “On the other hand if you were to help us you could take the full credit for stopping the catastrophe.”
He looked at her as if he was trying to convince a younger sister to get involved with something she didn’t want to

Gem and Angus join the conversation

Gem and Angus walked over to Ramzaheed, Callo and Van, joining the conversation with Archon Magdalena

“Criminal activities?” Gem gasped “You have a weird sense of justice for a Human Police Woman from Wales. Weren’t you killed when you interrupted a Greater Demon summoning? Some unknown benefactor bestowed you with Celestial Energy. Granting you the Rank of Archon. Inquisitor Ravenor is your boss.” Gem recounted. “I read your file in the great library.” She explained.

“Now here we are also about to interrupt some “powerful” summoning… and you call it criminal.” Gem pointed out.

“Gem, we have moved pass that. Let's not piss her off” Angus said to Gem.

"I agree with Ramzaheed. If you help us, maybe things would be more balanced.” Angus suggested

“If you don’t want to join us, some information might be helpful.” Van said. “We are thinking about visiting Ravyn’s parents.”

“The Nevermores are a rather significant Family that had a problem last year. It was all hushed up and paid off but the rumor mill went nuts with stories of the oldest son being in Organized crime, murder, drug deals gone wrong. It never made the papers, someone was doing some serious PR work, but the rumors were out there.” Gem added.

“We also thought of visiting Grand Inquisitor Castiel Azrael of House Ne'iocene” Van added. “Any thought of these ideas?” He asked “Maybe M’Kael parents too…” As he smoked on his cigarette.

“All of those sound-like reasonable courses of action. As long as you do it legally. And yes, criminal activities. Unless you have permission to be in this chamber, and have justifiable cause to disrupt the defensive guardians of this place? Or is this carving yours? Apparently, I’m more cautious than yourself, and look at the bigger picture before I act rashly.”

“This place is most likely owned by the University, or someone else, whom owns it? Whom set the guardians and wards in place? Do you ask these questions? Do you ask.. why did they take her? What do they want with her? Or even.. Whom? From what I’ve observed, no. You’ve run from one catastrophe to another.”

“You’re playing a game of chess and you’re losing. You keep reacting instead of thinking and planning.”

“I would help you, when and where I can. But since you are very rash in your actions, I’m not sure I should.” Reaching out with the tip of her spear she spoke arcane words beyond Gems level of knowledge, they sounded familiar, but with more accent points. Like she’d been speaking/reading like a fourth grader, and this was a college professor talking about THE LAW.

Minutes passed as power arced from spear to door and then a vast soundlessness overtook everything as the door vanished, drawn to another place. “Take her and go, leave the tomes and Grimoires in the other room. I can feel the curses upon them. They are dark, written with the skin and blood of elves and humans.”

Ramzaheed
“What about the items in this room?,” he asked, as he quickly slipped the ring into a hidden pocket. Then he decided to go to Ravyn and try to wake her up.

Everyone

Everyone crowded into the room with Ravyn. And waited for Ramzaheed to wake her up.

Gem and Angus looked at each other.

“I think Magdalena pretty hot looking” Angus said to break the silence.

Gem had a frustrated look on her face, but she said “I agree. She is pretty if you like those bad-ass, butt kicking kind of women”

“I like you, don’t I” Angus said as he gave her a side hug.

“Thanks” Gem glowed after the compliment “I’ll tell you one thing. She is right about us running around with no clear picture of what is going on”

“Yes, that resonated with me too” Angus agreed

Pulling the hood of her cloak back The Archon looked at Angus for a second. “I’ve taken vows which preclude me from the pleasures of man.” her gaze shifting to Gem as she finished her sentence.

“I may not take anything from this place as such an act would be stealing as none of it is lost or abandoned. However if I were to take possession of the items it would be as evidence. Which would remove access to such items, if you had need of them.”

“She’s attractive,” Magdalena said looking over Ravyn’s body. “To bad she’s possessed.”

Ramzaheed
Has he gave Magdalena a quick smirk, he walked cautiously over to where Ravyn was laying. He looked like he was about to say something but decided better off not offending anyone. He did what he could as a field medic to examine Ravyn to see what was keeping her asleep before whispering into her ear, “If you don’t wake up soon I just might let Angus truly have his way with you until you wake up, but I don’t want to do that. In fact I’m betting that you are in a deep meditative state so I think we might just have to carry you out of there first.”
Straightening up he look around. “I’m not sure what is keeping her asleep right now but what do you guys think about just getting her out of here for now then trying to figure out how to wake her up?” He asked.
