It's so rediculous for abortion to even be a topic of political discussion...
Just remember - abortion has been around for centuries. It is NEVER going to stop. If we outlaw it - the only thing that will change is poor pregnant women will be forced to either have babies they can't afford, or go to the back alley abortionist.
Rich women will continue receiving any necessary abortion - their doctors will simply call it a D&C.

I find it strange that basic reproductive freedom is still an issue, but for some reason, it is.

Is it easier if you call it "reproductive freedom" than ,say, "murder", or "baby killing", or even "terminating a potential human life"?

Let me rephrase it for you. Does it make talking about abortion easier for you if you use the term "reproductive freedom" than if you were to use the term "kill an unborn child"?
Does it make it easier for you to vilify a person by using the phrase "kill an unborn child" or "murder"?
