So, Tuesday I'm having brain surgery...

ADR

Those couple of pics bring back all the lovely moments of our being together, it was so much fun and I just loved taking you to Stonehenge.

I am so happy the tumour is not growing, that is wonderful news.

I miss you, and getting a text from you no matter what time of the day or night is always a joy.

No but Jane and I tried blood or black pudding.

In a word it was HORRID.

I've never had anything like that cos I am a vegetarian... The idea of black pudding isnt very nice, but I must admit it doesnt look too bad when cooked. I can think of more repulsive things to eat...

I'd love to visit stonehenge one day... Although it does always make me laugh that one of Britain's most famous landmarks is just a load of boulders placed in a circle! lol.. Hope you are doing well rox :rose:

Well actually, I've not heard any thing from the Dr. So I'm assuming that's good. Maybe I wasn't clear in my text message to shy. I keep saying I'm going to call the Doctor but I keep forgetting.

I do think though, if there was any different news, I'd know it by now. ;-D

I'm glad things are going better.

Oh and Charlie Chaplin moves in your sig. Thought I was losing my mind for a minute there, thanks! I have never started at a sig so intently before...waiting for it to move again or realize yes I am crazy. :rose:

Please call just to be sure.

I sent you an email but there might be a couple of others who are might be interested in knowing.

I heard back from my doctor's nurse today and she read me the conclusion part of the reading. It says I have - don't laugh - mild chronic sinusitis. And something about a slightly deviated septum. (I had my nose broken when I was a kid, playing baseball.)

I asked her, "No mention of a tumor? This was an MRI of my brain with and without contrast." She said no mention of the tumor.

Dr. M read the results and told her it was okay to call and read them to me, so I'm going to assume that everything is still status quo.

And I have mild chronic sinusitis with a slightly deviated septum.

LOL

Good things continue to happen to me and it's been thanks to so many of you.

I am sorry to say it sounds like they messed up big time and didn't even check the tumor. I would follow up and ask for a writing report on the current size and position of the tumor to make sure they actually checked it.

Also your insurance will be looking for a check on your tumor not an MRI for find a slightly deviated septum, and they may refuse to pay.

I had a hospital do an endo and check everything EXCEPT the valve they were supposed, the doctor just read the report to me, I said "what about the valve, what does it say" to find out it said nothing because they didn't check it, dr went opps and I had to do it again. Then there was the time the taped over my endo, and I had to do it again....

WTF?:confused::confused:

This sounds like one of those "Edward Jones" commercials-the one with the shrink speaking some combination of Polish/Czech. Ask: "What about the right arm?" You or your insurance aren't paying for that type of non sequitur.

I am happy that you have had the results. :)
You have been on my mind all week.

I do agree with Noor and Kayte, though you need to double check, if only to make sure the insurance pays.

I miss you, in subkeikilee's words 'When you coming to see me?'

I don't know where SKL is these days. We need to be in better touch than we are. But I do know where you are, shy and we plan on making that trip again next summer. Pub crawling in your little hamlet is tops on our list!

I see Dr. M again in December. I will ask him about this then. In the meantime, I'm going to have her fax me the results so I can read them myself. It was just way odd to me that there was any discussion about my sinuses or my deviated septum. LOL I asked her 3 times if she was sure this was a BRAIN scan.

Ah well... I'm not worried. I think that if there was anything wrong Dr. would've not let her call me.

But I have a new aliment that I'd love to hear remedies on. I was on antibiotics for most of 3 weeks until I could get some dental work done. Subsequently, I developed a yeast infection, but not where you'd expect. It's on the palms of my hands and fingers and the soles of my feet and toes.

I'm doing the Mycolog cream thing that he prescribed for it but I want to hurry this along. It's uncomfortable, my feet burn, hurt and itch like crazy, not to mention unseemly on my hands. I've decided to do some readjusting of my pH and am increasing the acid in my diet and I'm taking immune boosting vitamins.

I've read some home remedies for this online. But I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or cures to share with me.

And no... I'm not going to start pissing on my hands and feet. ;-)

I love you all for your posts and thank you for your continued interest in my brain bubble. It means a lot to not be forgotten...

It is wonderful, I promise.

Would I lie to you?!

I could send you some, I have a small jar right here.

Send her some twiglets first... to avoid glass smashing.... Or, If I can find the time in vegas, I'll take her some... I'm trying to convince my friends to stay there longer right now so I can maybe see ADR, if only to pass on the marmite! lol... (unfortunately it looks very unlikely :( )

I ran into these two articles and thought that they might be of interest.

For Cancer Patients, Empathy Goes a Long Way

And

Having Cancer, and Finding a Personality

Thank you for this doll. I read the links and found them to be really familiar. I'm having trouble typing right now because of this fungal infection on my fingers and hands. I look like a leper, all bandaided up. HA! I'm not able to write much without lots of typos to repair. That's annoying so I'm not typing much.

But regardless, I read a lot of very familiar things in those 2 articles. And wanted to let you know that I appreciated the thought from you.
