Sofie's Flatmate (one male joiner)

Sofie followed Jacob back into the living room and sat down beside him on the sofa, kneeling sideways so that she was facing him. She placed a hand on his shoulder in a sincere attempt to seem sympathetic. "Don't worry about it," she said placatingly. "I appreciate that you... find me attractive and everything. It's nice!" She said, realising as she said it that it was quite truthful. "I'm just not... entirely comfortable with the idea of, um. Y'know. Sex." She finally said, almost blurting it.

"I'm glad we're talking like this, though! I mean, I'm glad to be getting to know you better," she said with a smile. "You shouldn't go to bed now, or it'll just be all awkward when we see each other tomorrow," she pointed out.

“What do you mean not entirely comfortable with the idea of sex? With me or in general?” He asked looking perplexed.

"I'm glad we're talking like this, though! I mean, I'm glad to be getting to know you better," she said with a smile. "You shouldn't go to bed now, or it'll just be all awkward when we see each other tomorrow," she pointed out.

“Well Sofie it is out there. Drunk or sober…it will be on both of our minds that I like you more than a friend much less more than a flat mate. I am fine with taking things much slower than a one night stand slam bam thank you maam…but I need to find out what you think about us.” He replies.

He pauses and sighs.
"Sorry it is not that I want you to feel painted into a corner. If you don't share any other feelings than being friends...that is fine. I guess I just want to know. Then the awkwardness will end." He adds.

"Well..." Sofie shifted a little awkwardly. "Both, I suppose," she answered in response to his question about her sex life. "It's just... not something that I've done a great deal. Only with a... few people. And when I have, it's generally not gone that well," she said, sort of rambling now, which was unusual as she usually couldn't be compelled to talk about her sex life at all, even with her female friends.

She just sat in silence, not really sure how to respond to his second statement. It wasn't just that she wasn't interested in him. For her the idea of dating was only something that had come up after being friends with a guy for a long time, because of her awkwardness on the subject. The main problem was that she couldn't really be sure if he was saying that he liked her, or if he was saying that he was just attracted to her, or if he was just saying that he liked her in order to try and get her into bed... Whatever it was, right now Sofie still feeling far too tense to consider any of the options.

He smiled but didn’t dare laugh.
“Well I get that you are inexperienced. I think that is noble and good. As far as it generally not going well…I think if you haven’t been properly pleasured…you haven’t been with the right person.” He state as a matter of a fact. He scooted a bit closer.

“Sofie…I am not going to lie and say I haven’t enjoyed one stands just for a night of sex. Truly…real sex is much more than the act. It should be enjoyable and meaningful to both.” He added and he looked at her as she was silent.

He touched her hands with his.
“I am sure you are confused about us. Do I want you in my bed for a one nighter? Am I just attracted to you and want sex only?” He said looking into he eyes as he moved closer.

“Give me the chance to get to know you…and you will find out for yourself what kind of guy I really am. I won’t lie and say I don’t like sex…but I believe you are worth romancing and doing right. For the right woman I can be better than what you have seen of me.” He added somberly.
