In RL I have proposed four times and been accepted every time. 100% hit rate even if only the last actually ended in marriage.
#1 By moonlight by the sea.
#2 On a tor on Dartmoor in bright winter sunshine.
#3 At a political rally during the intermission.
#4 By a waterfall just after we had walked through a gorge on planks above running water (which she hated) and she had banged her head hard on an overhanging rock. I had to catch her to stop her falling and then I realised that I didn't want to let her go. Perhaps she was stunned because she said 'Yes' straight away.
