I worked with a guy, a former touring musician, who put those playlists together for his company that owned about 20 Radio Stations, including KFOG in San Francisco. He said the CEO of the company would call him and argue with his lists, saying he didn't want any or very little piano on those listings. The CEO knew next to nothing about music, just that he hated piano.

I like Fountains of Wayne a lot but this is by far their worst song. Can’t say I hate it but it ain’t good.

It all comes down to dollars it seems, I hate when they take songs that are less than desirable, and were so when they came out 20 years ago, and play the shit out of them, like they are the top ten requested songs of all time in north america.....hoping the more they play them.....it will make them popular and songs to be remembered

......This is a not musical piece that I dislike.....I chose my profile picture based on the fact that I am a fan of Snowy White, whom is playing a Gibson Goldtop on this very dual guitar solo(and I really admire his style and how he can make that guitar sing)...Now not every one is a fan of Floyd music, or other artists for that matter, However if your not familiar with either of these two guitarists, your not going to hear it on mainstream radio.....and if you are a guitar fan, this piece is worth the 3 minutes of your time

All that being said, there is a Canadian band that I can't stand....I won't say any names so as not to offend someone whom does enjoy the music by this group, Now I am being judgmental, because I am basing this group on the same five songs that are played to death in constant repetition on radio, perhaps in a live concert, maybe I would have more appreciation, however at this point and time, should the band play a live gig in Bermuda, and then disappear into the Bermuda Triangle forevermore, that would be ok with me. However I am certain that the aliens, upon listening to them would say " F*** that!" "We are sending you back!!!!"

I know your post is super old by now, but I also know you're still around here. YES! I just about threw up in my mouth the first time I heard this song. Genesis and older solo Phil were unbelievable. My favorite by him is still I Don't Care Anymore. I think it's even more powerful than In the Air Tonight. But Sussidio makes me want to gouge out my eardrums with grapefruit spoons.

I absolutely love When the Stars Go Blue by The Corrs with Bono. But I've never heard anything else by them, and you called me a handsome chap, so I'll give you a pass on that one.
