Southern Bells

I used to live in the west end of Nashville (and then Bellevue) for a while...
 
I used to love hanging out at the wildhorse saloon and watching them film the tv show there.

I love all that Nashvile has to offer. I have not been to Charlotte, but I hope to get there soon. I would enjoy going through the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
 
Charlotte is nice but Nashville had more of a vibe to it if you know what I mean. Friday and Saturday nites were like one big block party in the downtown area of Nash vegas. Charlotte....not so much. They have been trying to bring that feeling here but the amount of crime in the area here is staggering.

Nashville definately has that vibe I agree. Hopefully Charlotte will get it turned around. St. Louis has similar challenges. You just have to know which parts of town to not be in after dark, which is a very sad thing for everybody.
 
I think I read recently where St. Louis had one of the highest crime rates of cities it's size. That really surprised me.
 
Nashville has some great clubs. From vanilla to wild you can find just about anything there. We actually have a better time in Nashville than we do in Vegas. We love the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area too.

It is a statistical oddity. St. Louis city itself is only around 300 thousand people and a lot of the crime is confined to smaller areas within the city. The surrounding metropolitan area is 2.5 million. If you take that into account i'm sure we are average for a big city.

I must admit, I love reading your blog. I also love to cook and try new recipes.

Red velvet cake is my favorite and I've never had it with anything other than cream cheese frosting. I've also never made one. :eek:

Is it because we've changed from Venus back to Earth temps, and you're taking advantage to, uh, actually go outside and do stuff?

As I'm driving through the shenandoahs this week I'll be thinking of you all.:kiss:
 
We drove through the skyline drive back in May- it was gorgeous. But after a four hour drive of going slow and winding road, we were ready to go on a real road so we skipped the Blue Ridge. It was soooooo quiet and got some awesome pics.

We had an awesome rain storm today. Of course I got drenched but I do enjoy it when it rains so hard and fast that steam comes off the road - I love the smell.
