--Space Pirates-- IC

An holographic image of the Outsider's control center appeared on the board, Mart could see the three creatures on the ship and knew very well that they could see him too. As a hologram ofcourse.

Allison destroyed the last of the ships, before taking off her helmet, revealing her face, she held her helmet with one shoulder, "Mart." She said coldly, looking at the holographic image, looking at her now.

"L-l-let us go peacefully, and I w-w-won't be forced to damage y-y-your ship." Darwin said pulling a data pad from his satchel. He began to rapidly type code into the machine before returning his attention to the hologram. "Th-th-this is your one and o-o-only warning lapdog. C-c-call off your fighter, a-a-and alter your course, or I'll b-b-be forced to destroy m-m-my own father's l-l-life work. Your sh-sh-ship in case you for-for-forgot." Darwin threatened. "M-m-make your choice now, o-o-or I'll make it f-f-for you." Darwin said staring unflinching into the general's eyes.

Mart smiled ruefully. Darwin had a son? Impressive. The empire might want him alive, as a labrat that is.
"The name is Mart Vladingra, now commander of the Hades and general of the Alliance Army." he paused to glance at the faces of the three personals on the ship. "I have no business with you who claims to be Williams Jackson's son, at least not yet. My concern is with the female Allison and the Felinoid Xeno-archeologist Nima. They are traitors of the empire, tagged wanted and harboring them on your ship makes you a traitor. Personally i'll like to see you try destroying the Hades with that thingie of yours, for if you are Jackson's son, you would know that your father is one of the many minds that have worked on the Hades. And the Hades have seen improvements for decades long after your father's disappearance. "

"Fuck you, Mart!, Your people, men have been failures for centuries, they have failed miserablely to take me alive, you leading should only make it worse." Allison hissed, putting her helmet back on, "So leave." Saying it coldly once more.

Mart let out a little laugh. "You've always been all emotional miss Allison, something i have warned you about countless times during your trainings." he then turned his gaze to Nima. "And you my dear, is a fool to try running away from the empire."

"You made me to become a weapon. You got one, but it was just to much wasn't it? Scared of your own creation? You always were just a pet, and now instead of being the pup, you are now the wolf. Now about that woman, nice rack she got huh? I saw you staring, it'd be a shame if I put a bullet through her brain." Allisons tone was ice cold.

Cassie thumbed the mute button on her console. "He's more than likely bluffing," she advised. "And even if he's not, I doubt his claim. At worst he might bloody our nose; not destroy us.

"He's stalling."

Nima remained calm and silent, hands serenely folded in her lap while her more fiery shipmate argued with the holographic image.

"And you my dear, is a fool to try running away from the empire."

The felinoid made a dismissive shrug of her shoulders. "Better to die a fool than live a slave," she offered then leaned to address their pilot. "Is there a reason why we're still entertaining this?"

"He's more than likely bluffing," she advised. "And even if he's not, I doubt his claim. At worst he might bloody our nose; not destroy us.
"He's stalling."

Mart nodded agreeably, she was right. They are trying to stall.
He flinched a little as Allison talked about putting a bullet through Cassie, not that he was attached to her or anything, he was just angry at himself for letting a slight gaze wonder for long. Something that his well trained weapon would immediately pick up.
"Miss Allison, you know i don't really care much for other entities. If it would do you any good, you're free to put a dozen bullets through her when you'll have the chance." he then faced Darwin squarely, "i'll call off the fighters and let you decide. If you still refuse to surrender the traitors, i'll have your ship blacklisted. Every port will be on the lookout for it, every space station will have fighters at the ready, every jump point will be on the ready."

"B-b-bluffing? Hardly. You're b-b-black list won't mean m-m-much if you're ship i-i-is a crater. These women are u-u-under my protection now, and I'm g-g-going to end you." Darwin said with a smile tapping the data pad. Instantly the holo link flickered, then faded all together.

On board "The Hades" it was complete anarchy. Computers shitting down, lights flicking on and off, random equipment turning on by itself. "Sir! I... I've never seen anything like this. These codes are unheard of!" An officer on the bridge called to Mart. The the ship shuddered and began to tilt towards the moon. "Sir! Anti-gravity fields are down!" Sir! The engines have failed! Weapons systems are offline General!" "We're being pulled in to the moon!" The bridge echoed with the shouts of officers reporting more and more system failures.

"W-w-wow. I'm better than I-I-I thought." Darwin said with a cocky smile as he watched "The Hades" slowly lose speed. He slipped the data pad back into its satchel before taking the contrails and piloting "The Outsider" away from the failing Alliance ship. "We're n-n-not going to be welcome in any r-r-reputable space ports. Do either o-o-of you know of any p-p-pirate dens or sm-sm-smugglers' bars?" Darwin asked.

Allison smirked, she saw him flinch, she touched a nerve. She watched the ship slow. "I don't need protection, I'm hired. To be a weapon. There is a pirate den to the east of here." Sounding her usual commanding self.

Lt. Rey kept her stoic composure as the Hades sounded alerts and systems failures all about the bridge. Her monitor flashed blank, screens flickered and a chorus of panic sounded across the ship's command center. "I believe our proverbial nose just got 'bloodied', sir," she said dryly.

"Sir! I... I've never seen anything like this. These codes are unheard of!"
"Sir! Anti-gravity fields are down!"
"Sir! The engines have failed! Weapons systems are offline General!"
"We're being pulled in to the moon!"

"For Christ's sake, calm down and act like you earned those bars on your sleeves," Cassie chided the bridge crew and attempted to cycle her display. The MFD confirmed no weapons, no engines, no lateral thrust, no shields, no gravity, no....

Wait... no gravity? That clearly wasn't the case as she was still sitting firmly in her seat.

"I think our systems are fine and undamaged, sir," she informed Mart. "I believe if we were to walk down to Engineering we'd find everything in order. He didn't attack our systems, but rather the networked feed that relays systems status to the bridge. The panel may say everything is offline, but they're fine. It's just old fashioned stage magic. Misdirection and sleight-of-hand on a digital level.

"Shouldn't take long for our techs to clean that up."

Allison was the temperamental type, and was upset at the sight of Mart. Bummer, they had some great times together, training, bets, drinks. They never had a romance, thank god. and then he was to blind to see what's wrong with the Empire. And she now had a urge to kill Cassie, She couldn't shoot her now, the glass was bullet protected, and she was deciding points to be fatal, but allow Mart to watch her die. She looked to Nima. "Why are you running?" Still commanding and serious.

Celestial

Celestial nodded to a man as she handed him a beer, the man starring at her breast all the way through the exchange. The man winked at her before heading back to his table with three other men. She heard a few yelled, with some cowardly soldier running down the hallway. "The ship is crashing!" A man yelled. Before a man caught up to him, they exchanged words and then the man yelled "Nevermind!"

Celestial shook her head in disappointment, the soldiers seemed to be getting more cowardly every day. She added a rare spice to a requested mixed drink. The man took his drink and headed to his table. Within seconds he face planted into his table and rolled off his chair. Poison, only a knock out one, enough to knock you out for a day. The man that was now passed out had been making advances on her, and in return she poisoned him. The security guards carried him out, muttering about stupid drunks, and how he drank to much. Celestial smiled slightly, and continued her making of drinks.

"I'm a-a-also curious about that. Y-y-you said you were familiar w-w-with academia, and you p-p-passing m-m-my test confirms that. T-t-to a point. If you a-a-are in fact a scientist, a-a-and running from th-th-the Alliance that means you've d-d-discovered something they d-d-don't like. So what d-d-did you find?" Darwin said piloting the ship towards the pirate den at full speed. He hoped he could escape "The Hades's" sensor's range before they figured out what exactly he'd done to their ship.

Mart face showed no emotion even as Darwin disconnected the line and jammed his system. Even as the Outsider slowly drift away from them, the general of the Hades kept his cool.
"I think our systems are fine and undamaged, Sir!" he heard a moment later. Rey gave him a compactible explanation as to what has happened.
"Ofcourse miss Cassie." he replied still staring at the screen, hands behind him like a damn soldier and a small smile on his lips.
"Blacklist that ship then call of the fighters and every other ship on pursuit." he instructed making for the resident quaters. "I want to have words with you, miss Cassie."

"Too many drinks." Celestial answered, as the soldiers questioned her. She killed someone with poison. The soldiers nodded and walked away, "Mart just got awarded the General title, you hear?" The soldiers gossiped as they walked out of the bar. Celestial dropped her glass, causing it to shatter, the bar was empty at the moment, so now was the time to think about it. Now that the ship was under Marts control, things could go a lot worse for her, she knew Mart wasn't a slacker like the last general, the last general never went in the bar but Mart might. Mart would get suspicious of to Many drunken generals. She would be lucky if he never went in the bar, and asked her questions, cause he could see right through her, she hoped he wasn't suspicious already. He didn't even know she was at the bar, she assumed that he assumed she was dead or in a cell. The sound of the bar door opening brought her out of her thoughts.

Mart had initially intented to use his room for the discussion but decided that will be too unprofessional and he wasn't in the mood to use the office.
Mart headed instead for the bar and ofcourse making sure that Cassie noticed the change of direction.
Entering the bar he was surprised to see his old friend. The shock disappeared as quickly as it has appeared.
"Celestial, i see you now have a comfortable position here at the Hades." he joked making for a seat.
"A drink for two please." he sat smiling slyly.

"I'm not entirely certain what I found," Nima answered honestly, but knew that wouldn't be enough information to satisfy them.

"I'm an archaeologist. I was part of a dig on Saturn's sixth moon and we found... something. Old and artificial. That night our comm systems went down before we could transmit our findings to the Academy. Alliance soldiers swarmed in slaughtering everyone and taking claim of our find. I just barely made it out of there with my tail intact... I fear I was the only survivor."

"I want to have words with you, miss Cassie."

The lieutenant arched an eyebrow curiously as he exited the bridge. His tone seemed to indicate it wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation, but there was no way this mess was going to get pinned on her!

Cassie stood, straightened her uniform skirt and logged off her station before following after Mart. At the intersection before the lift her commander turned into the right corridor towards the lounge. She picked up her pace and caught up with him in time to join him at a table with another woman -- a platinum beauty in robes as silken as her hair. She stood out in stark contrast to the soldiers lounging around and made Cassie wonder what a civilian like her was doing aboard the Hades anyway.

"A drink for two please."

"Nothing for me, thank you," Cassie said as she arrived at the table.

Speak of the devil, Celstial cursed in her mind, Celestial smiled slyly back, "You know me Mart, always loved making drinks for drunks. And ever so pleasant to know you'll be here." In a sickly sweet voice. She added her poison, but this time it was fatal, and she handed it Mart, luckily her Alien blood was resistant to poison. She smiled at Cassie, the turning her head to Mart, She smiled at Mart, "Enjoy". Her fear and hate both mixed in her emotions.

Nothing for me. Thank you."
Mart smiled casually, "Oh it isn't for you my dear." he replied her.
Celestial brought the drinks moments later, "enjoy." she said.
Mart picked up a glass still not breaking eye contact with Celestial, he brought it to his lips then...
"So tell me Cassie, how long have you worked for the empire?" he asked placing the drink back on the table.

"So tell me Cassie, how long have you worked for the empire?"

"Three years," she answered and looked back and forth between her commander and the woman he locked eyes with. She didn't know what was going on between them but thought it best to keep her answers short and not interrupt.

Celestial wanted to force the drink down his throat, but now wandered back to the booth, and made a drink for herself. Both Mart and her locking eyes. Just then a soldier fell out of his chair passed out. Celestial broke her gaze from Mart for a moment to watch the soldiers carry the man away, she smiled slyly to herself, before locking gazes with Mart, it was definitely the wrong time, she had no idea how her poison ended up in the mans drink, the servants must've not washed if all the way. She handed a normal drink to a man, before taking a sip of her own. She saw Cassie look back and forth quickly between the two of her and Mart, she saw the wonder in her eyes. But knew it was better if she didn't ask.

******

Allison nodded. "Makes sense they would go after you then, Mart is dangerous, and will defiantly want you just as much as he wants me, he's cold, just as I've trained to be, I bet he had no remorse locking up my best friend Celestial, or allowing them to kill her." She said this with no change of tone, but deep inside she felt rage boiling inside. They pulled up to the Pirates den, where all three got out and entered the den.

"Mart is of l-l-little concern to m-m-me. He's just another c-c-cog in The Alliance m-m-machine." Darwin said dismissively as he expertly landed the ship on the large mined out asteroid the pirate den was located on. "D-d-do you still have the artifact, Nima? I'd b-b-be very interested in examining it. Or e-e-even some pictures. I-I-It seems like we've b-b-both stumbled upon the s-s-same thing. H-h-have you heard th-th-the th-th-theory th-th-that th-th-The Alliance wasn't the firsts technologically ad-ad-advanced empire? I think if w-w-we pool our resources w-w-we could perhaps p-p-prove this theory." Darwin said excitedly as the trio left his ship.

The group walked into the main bazaar of the pirate den where a wide variety of illegal goods could be found. "Allison, m-m-my ship has more than likely b-b-been blacklisted. It will need n-n-new codes as w-w-well as a modified signal s-s-splitter. I don't want Mart tracking u-u-us through the holo s-s-system. We'll also need rations. S-s-six months for four people w-w-will suffice. Better to b-b-buy extra. Also if you find a-a-any worthy candidates, the expedition c-c-could use more guards." Darwin said giving Allison a credit chip worth 50,000 credits. "Th-th-that should be more than e-e-enough to cover the expenses. Anything left over i-i-is the beginning of y-y-your pay. While you're d-d-doing that, I plan t-t-to take Nima to diner to discuss and ex-ex-exchange ideas." Darwin said to Allison before turning towards Nima. "If you'll s-s-so indulge me?" He asked the feline woman.

Allison nodded, and looked at the chip, rolling her eyes along the way, technology findings talk weren't her thing. "Omalie, spin me a code, and get me off that blacklist now." Allison said commandingly. Omalie replied back "Anything else, Agent Allison?"[/COLOR] Allison thought for a moment, "No, tell me when you got us new codes." After almost an hour Omalie announced they had new codes, and Allison had a little more work to be done on the signal splitter, with the help of Omalie she was able to get that done as well, after getting multiple supplies they need for four months, Allison sat in a stool in the back of the room.

"Omalie give me files of everyone in this room, we may need someone else." Omalie replied his approval and Allison started to read all the files.
