Speaking of the requirement to full fund SNAP benefit payments pursuant to court order...

The Senate Leader said the same thing as well as the President. It's common knowledge.
Lol....if you use his words, then quote him. If not, those are your words to defend. Pick one.

Well now, Heathrow Wino. Why don't try and refute them then? What I said comes straight from the Speaker of The House.
The speaker says a lot of lies. Don’t forget he was one of the authors of THE BIG LIE.

Chloe, you ignorant MAGAt…

Of course the Democrats are playing hardball after DonOld & the MAGAt republicans froze them out off the original budget process (which Chuck Schumer, etc, caved on, resulting in the near collapse of the Democratic Party’s approval).

You MAGAts "thought" the Democratic Party writ large was dead and mistook kindness for weakness. The Democratic Party writ large ACTUALLY wanted the party to fight HARDER and NOT cave to DonOld & the MAGAt republicans.

Maybe pay attention to recent elections and the polls: The Democratic Party is seeing a resurgence as they fight back HARDER - and Independent voters are joining with the Democrats in droves.

As for DonOld & the MAGAt republicans just saying “fuck it” and letting the poor, the disabled, and the working class suffer (after all, cruelty is the point), let’s see how that works out for DonOld & the MAGAt republicans.

Kindness my ass! Schumer had no choice. If dems don't vote yes on the BBB then the next issue will be how does Schumer explain to the American people the highest tax increase in modern history. Schumer is a Pelosi level scumbag. Dems refuse to accept the fact that the ACA is one of the biggest legislative failures in modern history. The ACA is as corrupt as the day is long, has been lining the pockets of insurance companies for years.

Obamacare is destroying our healthcare system.

🙄

ineedhelp1 FAILS to recognize / acknowledge that there were Democratic alternatives to DonOld & the MAGAt republicans’ One Butt Ugly Bill that would have maintained the tax rates for most Americans while raising taxes on the rich and corporations who profiteered / price gouged (greedflation) for years.

😑

ineedhelp1 also FAILS to recognize/ acknowledge that the ACA was the greatest improvement in GENUINE health care insurance / access / coverage in modern U.S. history.

Apparently you haven't heard that they're still showing up for work (or they were) but are refusing to vote for the non-partisan CR that would keep the gov open, fund SNAP and air traffic controllers, and give them time to work out their agenda items without hurting the American people.

It's not the R's, it's the D's who are causing the problem but your TDS won't let you see that. Instead you make lame brained statements like that one to try and blindly justify what your party is doing to you, me, and everyone else.
Lit's Asperger attorney left out one teensie weensie sticking point in his little proposal above, which proves "beyond a reasonable doubt" that this is most certainly NOT a "non-partisan CR" but in fact the exact opposite!

Does anyone recognize what his omission was?

dudly, it's a clean CR. 28 pages and funds the government at the same levels it's been operating on. It was passed by the House in a bi partisan vote.

The D's are refusing to vote aye for it. I think it's up to 14 times so far that they've voted nay, en mass except for 1 Senator, on the resolution.

So whatever the fuck fantasy you've concocted is a fail when the truth is brought to the table - the D's OWN this shutdown lock, stock, and barrel.

Your assertion that Democrats somehow "own" the Republican shutdown is not supported by fact (or popular opinion for that matter).

You conveniently left out the part where passing a quote clean unquote continuing resolution would allow the expiration of Federal Medicaid premium subsidies that made Medicaid affordable for millions of lower income Americans such as yourself.

Without extending the "sunset provision", lower income Americans would be unable to afford health care, which has been the game plan of Republicans all along.

Remember, not everyone got the special treatment you got, when you somehow managed to convince the Veterans Administration that your genetic spinal defect at birth was somehow a "combat related injury" which passed the cost of your medical care onto the VA.

Side note: If the government shutdown continues, have you made contingency plans to deal with your upcoming inability to refill your oxycontin prescriptions? You may recall what happened the last time a shutdown occurred: your fellow "wounded veteran" Chan lost access to his PTSD meds, lost his mind on this board and got banhammered about a half dozen times.

The Felon Administration's actual case is that starving the people is far preferable to providing food that has already been paid for.
The opening sentence asserts that "the district court's order threatens significant and irreparable harm to the government which outweighs any claimed injury to plaintiffs."
Strangely, most of the folks making the argument self-identify as 'Christians' and will happily recite stories such as 'feeding the five thousand' and 'the Good Samaritan'.

Weird times.

Estimated waste fraud and abuse throughout the ACA and assorted derivatives and social protections reached 120 billion in 2024 alone. Democrats want to double on this wasteful spending. Extend it another year. The democrats put in the sunset clause for these subsidies and now rather than sign the current CR they are reneging demanding another 1.5 trillion with a "T". This is a Schumer shut down. The current status of the ACA lines the pockets of insurance peddlers at the expense of the American people. Below is an AI listing of different abuses of the system. Fix the damn program first then fund it. Democrats waste 41 days of regular order by shutting down the government.

"Fraud exposed in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) primarily involves unscrupulous agents and brokers manipulating the system to enroll ineligible individuals in subsidized plans for commissions. Investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) have uncovered significant schemes, leading to numerous charges and convictions.
Key aspects of the exposed fraud include:
  • Unauthorized Enrollment and Switching: Brokers have fraudulently enrolled people in ACA plans or switched their existing coverage without their knowledge or consent to earn commissions.
  • Misleading Advertising: Ads on platforms like Facebook and YouTube have falsely promised cash benefits (e.g., for groceries or rent) to lure people into providing their personal information, which is then used for fraudulent enrollment.
  • Income Misrepresentation: To qualify individuals for generous, fully-subsidized "zero-dollar" premium plans, brokers have intentionally misreported applicants' incomes, often claiming incomes between 100% and 150% of the federal poverty level, even when the applicants were ineligible (e.g., already had employer coverage or were below 100% FPL in non-expansion states).
  • Targeting Vulnerable Populations: Some schemes have targeted homeless, unemployed, or mentally ill individuals, bribing them with small amounts of cash to use their information for enrollment.
  • "Phantom" Enrollees: The large number of "zero-claim enrollees" (people who are enrolled but file no medical claims) is cited as evidence of widespread fraud, suggesting many individuals are unaware they have coverage or are enrolled in other plans.
  • Abuse of Special Enrollment Periods: Weaknesses in Special Enrollment Periods (SEPs) have been exploited by brokers to enroll people at any time of the year, outside the standard Open Enrollment Period."

The Felon Administration's actual case is that starving the people is far preferable to providing food that has already been paid for.

Simple remedy...SIGN THE DAMN CR and all this goes away. The democrat party is nothing more than a gaggle of extortionist.
