Speaking of the requirement to full fund SNAP benefit payments pursuant to court order...

Lol, the D's want a new CR which gives them more than continuing the existing budgetary funding. That's called a NEW BUDGET, not a CR, and the budget MUST come from the House FIRST.

Honestly, your ignorance knows no bounds because you, like most Leftists, don't really know how government works.
This is the crux of it. They don’t understand the basics so they yell and scream like petulant children. Their democrat overlords are smiling. Useful little idiots…

Meanwhile Trump is spending the weekend in Florida playing golf while people are going hungry.
What does President Trump playing golf on a weekend have to do with anything? He’s not the party that is holding the American people hostage for their gain.

Want to compare the Dalia Bama’s (peace be upon him) golf outings to President Trump’s?

See, Radicalized democrats don’t give a fuck about “people going hungry.” They’re attempting to get a temporary measure codified into permanent law. That temporary measure meant millions, going to insurance companies.

Here’s some of the finer points…

Radicalized democrats’ proposal would once again allow those improperly granted asylum and parole under Biden’s open borders scheme to receive Medicaid. The proposal would require Medicaid to pay more for emergency care provided to illegal aliens than it does for American patients who are disabled, elderly, or children.

The radicalized proposal would allow California to continue exploiting a loophole to fund Medicaid for illegal aliens. This proposal would reinstate a special Obamacare subsidy for non-citizens — for which low-income American citizens are not eligible. This proposal would repeal a generational $50 billion investment in rural healthcare, also the proposal would take Health Savings Accounts away from ten million American citizens.

How much will this cost? $200 billion spent on healthcare for illegal immigrants over the next ten years it’ s been estimated.

Pssst…nobody’s going hungry in this country. You can surely make the argument we’re not eating quality food, but quantity? That’s laughable.

If Trump cared about people he’d stay in DC to negotiate a way to get the government opened. That’s what he claimed he was good at right, negotiating deals? Funny he’s running away from doing that now.

You’re actually arguing there are NOT hungry people in the US??? That’s some world record TDS.

Simple remedy...SIGN THE DAMN CR and all this goes away. The democrat party is nothing more than a gaggle of extortionist.
Dude, Little Mikey refused to let the Repubes stay there for negotiations. He is the one holding the country hostage to Trump's demands to gut your healthcare.

But blame the Dems who actually stayed in Washington but were refused access to the Capitol. Keep away from DailyCaller & NotTooBrightBart, you might learn something.

Trump is PRESIDENT, not a Congressman. ONLY Congress can negotiate on the passage of legislative Bills. The President can act as a mediator, but he has NO POWER to negotiate.

So it’s the democrats fault that repubs refuse to negotiate and are taking a my way or the highway stance?

What?

The House passed a budget and sent it to the Senate. The Senate has been wrangling over what they want in that budget by adding amendments in debates and conducting negotiation sessions for months.

Then time ran out on them in February so the passed a Continuing Resolution to fund the government while they continued to debate and work on the budget. Some Democrats got upset with Chuck Schumer about him voting FOR the CR and there was much hyperbole thrown over the issue.

But, it was a done deal and the government stayed open.

Then time ran out on them again so the House once again passed a CLEAN, bi-partisan, CR which exactly matched the earlier one back in February.

This time the Senate Dem's decided to vote no. And they've continued to vote no for the 14 times the resolution has been brought to the floor. The why is because Schumer is afraid of his base going apocalyptic if he votes to approve the CR and ousting him from office.

So whatever it is that you've been told by you biased news sources, it's not true that the R's are "refusing to negotiate" and it IS the fault of the D's that government programs have been halted because there's no funding for them.

To recap Derpy's failed thread;

DEMS ARE NOT ASKING FOR FREE HEALTHCARE FOR ILLEGALS AND TRUMP IS STARVING AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO HAVE PAID INTO SOCIAL PROGRAMS

So it’s the democrats fault that repubs refuse to negotiate and are taking a my way or the highway stance?
The ACA is a democrat creation, that's on them. Republicans didn't vote for the ACA. The ACA enhancement subsidies was a program crafted with a sunset provision built in, was crafted to help people during a healthcare crisis while the government shut down. That crisis has past. Republicans refuse to negotiate more spending on a corrupt social program without fixing it first. Legislate using regular order. Extortion isn't equivalent to legislating in good faith. Snap benefits should also get a haircut.

ACA, SNAP and H1-B visas are all corrupt to the core and all of them should be torn down and rebuilt from scratch. IMHO

The house passed the bill, nothing more to be done BY THE HOUSE till the senate passes the CR.

How does it feel to live in a country where the Chief Executive doesn't obey the law on his own initiative, but has to be reminded by the courts to do so?

What THE ABSOLUTE FUCK are you smoking?

The HIGH COURT stayed the lower court's order for the government to fund SNAP. That means that the admin is right and they can't fund a gov program without CONGRESSIONAL appropriation.

Which we don't have because the fucking DEMOCRATS are refusing to sign the clean CR.

So, Trump IS "obeying the law." Which is why Justice Brown stayed the lower court order because obeying THAT would be illegal.
A stay, of course, isn't a final decision, which is why a single justice can issue it, as you should know (whatever you happen to be smoking). Down the line, the legal issues will be sorted out and we'll find out if your President really will use the emergency funds (he's big on declaring emergencies, isn't he?) for what they were intended.

Interesting though, that his position seems to be that he'll starve people to put pressure on Congress in order to force them to cut healthcare!

Why yes, he can ONLY use those funds for what they were intended to be used for. Which, BTW, doesn't include funding SNAP during a government shutdown.

That you seem to think so tells us that you really haven't looked into the hows/whys/wherefores.

Congress already cut healthcare funding for illegal aliens in the BBB. The shutdown has nothing to do with "cutting" that funding.

Please stop trying to make political apple pie with lemons. It doesn't work and you only make yourself look foolish.

From The Hill: Senate Republicans on the Appropriations Committee led by Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) have sought to break the deadlock by trying to entice Democrats to vote for a “minibus” appropriations package that would fund military construction, veterans’ affairs, the Department of Agriculture and the legislative branch for fiscal 2026.

Schumer on Friday afternoon offered Republicans a counterproposal to reopen the government that would include the GOP’s idea of attaching the minibus to a continuing resolution to fund the government until December or January.

But Schumer insisted that such a package needs to include a clean one-year extension of the ACA subsidies. To sweeten the offer for Republicans, the Democratic leader proposed establishing a bipartisan committee to negotiate long-term reforms to address health care affordability.

Thune and other Senate Republicans immediately dismissed it as a “nonstarter.”

“Everybody who follows this knows that’s a nonstarter,” Thune told reporters. “There is no way. The ObamaCare extension is the negotiation. That’s what we’re going to negotiate once the government opens up.”

Yes, a new development in the shutdown saga that doesn't change what I wrote one whit.

Notice too that the D's are refusing to agree to the "minibus" unless it's attached to a "clean CR"** which also includes additional provisions of reauthorizing the ACA subsidies. Which is basically their original proposal after refusing to agree to the original clean CR.

**Which can't be a "clean CR" if there are other provisions attached to it. Basically this is a spin by the journalist/Democrats to make their offer palatable to those who don't read beyond the headlines.

That would be a great point if Trump wasn’t known for calling lawmakers and telling them how to vote.
Oh, and if he didn’t run on the idea that he was a deal maker and could negotiate.
He claims to have ended 9 wars but can’t be bothered to open the government. That makes sense.

get a life beyond the right wing echo chambers. You may find it enlightening. Hopefully.
Oh, I have a life, one that doesn’t need validation from echo chambers of any kind. I read, I work, I think, and I don’t outsource my opinions to the mob. The difference is, my life includes independent thought, which might be why you mistake it for an echo, it just doesn’t reflect your pearl clutching frequency.

Yeah. Sure you do, sure you do. Lol
