FYI - Magnum was done here on concrete juingle isle, hehe and I've seen the house , drool These local shows that ppl see sometimes makes me chuckle especially when they drive around and give directions. The best was Hawaii 5-0, "Ewa bound on Kapahulu" was often heard
and well, that road goes North to South, one can go Ewa (West) bound but one will end up in our famous Ala Wai Canal

Get some needed rest - you've gone through a lot recently. Talk to you and everyone else later...hope you have sweet, wet dreams

Ahh I thought it was always filmed on another island. Well I learned something. Man I hope we get to chat sometime when we are both awake.

Good Morning Angels

And how is everyone on this Memorial Day?
Hope you all remember those who have passed on and those that have served our country and continue to do so.

I want to thank all of you for the month of the new pub of posting your thoughts and comments. I really did not think we would make it as far as we have.

It was started to be a place where people can just chit chat and turned into more of a support group for me and the stuff I was going thru. From the ex mom-in-laws cancer, to one of my my best friend's death and my daughter's wedding.

I would say this month of May has been a very trying one.
To be honest, I am kind of wiped out from all of the roller coaster emotions.

There are also some other things that are going on in my life that I am struggling with that I am not sure what I am going to do. The sale of one of my businesses, some health problems, the future of career changes, just a whole gambit of stuff.

And I hate that this room is turning into a room for my problems. This is not what I wanted the room to be. So I am thinking of ending it. It has kind of winded down anyway...
SO any thoughts?

Personally ,I feel it has helped me to see how you have dealt with the everyday problems and sorrows that we ALL face in our very REAL day-to-day lives...

I admire your strength ,Courage and love and your ability to express yourself ..even when it hurts to...so many people here at Lit are like that ..Toni being 1, I can think of right off the top of my head..

What you say here means alot and I hope you decide to keep the thread open so we can get to know the sweet ,kind and loving man that I believe you are even more

Wow Dream... thanks for the words. I am not sure I can live up to all that you said. I am just a normal guy who is limping thru life the best he can. I am no one special or great. I have done my share of screwups and mess ups and only doing the best I can by the grace of God.
I have always been a very open person. It is very easy for me to share my feelings. Never been one of those silent types. LOL Matter of fact sometimes I say too much. I had a gay friend of mine tell me I was the gayest straight man he knows. He said you are so in tune to your feelings and emotions that only gays do that and not straight men. He also said that because I am into movies, music, art and plants. Not a typical macho man. Not into fishing or hunting or sports, or NASCAR or Football or anything but the arts.
Guess I would be gay if I did not like women so much.
So... yea I tend to say things and open up easy. And I tend to ramble on like I am doing now... lol But thanks for your comments.

I think you should keep the thread going. We all come here to visit with you and the others that come here. We want to get to know you and sometimes we get to know the person through what they are going through in their r/l. I for one, am going through quite a bit right now also. Like yesterday when I was talking to AA he received some sayings from a friend of his and he said that this one reminded him of me. "I know that God will not give me more than I can handle. Sometimes I wish he was not so confident in my abilities" or something like that, anyway the gest of it was that God doesn't give us more than we can handle but when going through it wish we weren't able to handle it so well! We are just friends gathering here to find out what is going on each others lives. There are a great number of really wonderful people here that are always thinking of me and sending good, healing vibes, whatever it is I need. And it really does help. We are here for you, whatever you need. A shoulder to cry on, someone to lean on when you aren't strong enough, etc... that's what FRIENDS are for. Some of the other threads that I frequent that have got me through some rough times are the Daily Hugs thread, The Lit Family Thread, anyone who visits and posts automatically becomes part of the family, What hurts the most right now thread, the Single Parents Thread, several others but when I lost my mom and some of the things I have gone through with frustration over my son's performance this year in school, ppl who have been there, done that, really gave me some great words of comfort and encouragement.

I know about back problems... I am kind of laid up right now with it. However I am going to a Chiropractor instead of a surgeron. That is the LAST ditch effort. I hope you feel better soon and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
And as far as your SO goes... I can understand his thoughts, but come on... A hug is no biggie... Unless they start trying to hump your leg... LOL

We have had them off/on for the last couple of days and expected for the next couple. But nothing like they have been having in NE and several tornados touched down in OKC the other day! Crossing my fingers! We have not had a tornado here in several years. They come close and all around us, but have not come to our area so far!

yes Indeed ,rain ,rain and MORE rain ..I just cant believe it!!
i have never before seen so many reports of tornadoes all over the U.s and I am from 'tornadoe alley'' Originally In Indiana...they so freak me out -Tornadoes do ...1 Time in my hometown we had ;like 3 at once...reminded me of the day after tomorrow movie..

Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad I decided to check your thread out it's a place that makes the heart smile

As for the hug well now it depends on how the hug is applied and the length of it, lol

I'm sorry to hear about your back also. I tried a Chiropractor for awhile and it only helped me temporarily. I felt really good but by the time I got into my car and reached my destination after my appointment I was back to square one.

I hope you find the relief if not the solution to your back problem. A good back rub with gently hands helps in between appointments.

Take care, rest but don't stay too laid up I've found it better to move around a little instead of staying in bed most of the time (although it's best and enjoyable if you have a partner beside you in bed, lol). You're in my thoughts and prayers also.

Hi folks. Well I have not been on in awhile due to the fact that in KY we got hit hard with those storms. We also had tornados.
We had a couple hit our area. Just funnel clouds but enough to take out trees. One of those trees took out our power and we are still without power for 3 days going on 4.
So, that is why I have not been on. Keep your fingers crossed and hope we get power by the weekend.

Sad to hear you have (had) no power. You'd be surprised to know we have funnel clouds that touch down here and luckily it only tore up some pineapple fields and not anyone home.

Hope you get your power back by the weekend. If not if it gets too chilly at night wanna a buddy to warm up to?

Stay safe and hope this bout of tornados and funnel clouds dissipate.

FYI - I won't be checking into the thread much less able to play on the computer after 7/16. I'm scheduled to go under the knife again if my pre-op goes well. Hopefully I'll be up to par after a month or so; that's about as long as it took for me to recup enough to spend some time (although very little time) out of bed.

In the meantime the shadow will be lurking in your dreams, lol
