Star City- The Heroes of Tomorrow OOC

It's also about context-- there's a lot of different meanings for "love," The Ancient Greeks had four different words for the stuff and that barely scratched the surface.

There's also something to be said for a respect for mutually agreed-upon boundaries.

I love Vail, for instance, and I love Tears, but each of these loves is a very different animal.

Both of which can, at times, be crazy and dangerous, admittedly.

Good point dear miss. But I meant the part about killing people with poor grammar. I say things like that more often than anything about love. I save that word for special people and things. I find it sacred.

Well, it seemed like Tears was threatening to kill people for me because of their grammar.

And if that's not love, I don't know what is.

So...I'm not sure I made the right move here in my last post, but I thought that it would be what my version of Jaime would do. I hope that I didn't mess anything up.

Time to find the Chessmaster. Before he Mates us.

I feel like I'm able to really channel the *KID* in me, when I write Impulse especially......but woww, that is one really *COOL*(and damn cute) Dinosaur balloon animal!!!

My character might be the luckiest boy in the whole, wide world! Hehe.

:)

Yeah, that makes sense. FBI Jaime wants to do detective work. Felicity will do her best to facilitate.

Of course, we don't want to jump the gun on our noble GM's big reveal, so we may get stonewalled-- firewalled? --but we'll see what we'll see.

*nods nods* The lovely thing about profiling is that either you can be very accurate...or completely wrong.

I love our story. Everybody is so good it's mind boggling. We must do more awkwardness between Jaime and Artemis.

Yes and yes.

Yes everyone is awesome. Everyone is cool when we work as a team!

I love that you've stayed!

And yes, we must do that at some point. I kind of like that I was able to relate Artemis' arthropodal squeamishness to the "Alice in Wonderland" thing, and now she has both Venom and Beetle to ping that for her. Muahaha.

But seriously, they have a lot in common. Jaime may have access to a potential "prime mover" powerset, as Chris Grant calls it, but they're still people with murder in their blood struggling to overcome that. They're both badly damaged but good at what they do.

Of course, that scenario doesn't really make for scintillating conversation, unless you enjoy watching people twist with feet in mouths, XD.

"Nevyn_Black" -- consider Jaime 'fortunate' he was unavailable physically when Bart was making his 'rounds'! I could have definitely set up...some good/bad interaction between our characters. (and Venom in human presentable form -- hehe -- sorta dodged the bullet too by walking outside!)

I agree with you and Miss "ChasNicollette" though. The story is amazing, I definitely believe there is a good *FLOW* to the thread for sure!

Definitely love being apart of this :)

Well, looks like the new TT show is moving forward nicely! The planned team seems like a good one. Though I will have to take liberties with how they fit into this continuity. Didn't expect them to include Barbara.

Yeah! First time she's ever been a Titan, I don't blame you for not seeing that coming!

And they're putting it in Boston, not New York or California.

Could always replace Babs on the roster of the Titans in this continuity with an earlier occurrence of Wendy "Proxy" Harris?

You do know that Venom is standing JUST outside the door right? He's not outside the building O.O

Why I made him get out of the room was because he can only make poodles and I have hoped to get Jaime/Big B outside the room. BUT Nevyn and I have come to an understanding, so Venom/John will most likely be the first face parents see before entering the library? I dunno, but yeah he's there and should anything happen, the symbiote is ready to...

Rage...

Rage in the cage and piss upon the stage, there's only one sure way to bring the giant down. Defunk the strings of cemetary things with a one flat foot on... O.O uhm ahem sorry.

Rumble?

I think I saw the "steps outside" part and figured...(wrongly apparently)...that your character had 'left' the interior. Honest mistake. And official *dohhhhh!*

Sorry about that...but at least I still acknowledged your character's presence. Even if it was only in childish envy, from Bart's perspective! ;)

In fairness, I wasn't sure where Venom ended up either, which was part of the reason that I routed Artemis back to the kids' table.

But it's good to know he's not far!

I am awe struck by some of the posts you people make. It makers me feel like a rank amateur in comparison.

Ugh, I hope you don't mean that wall-of-text exposition I just cranked out.

I wanted to intersperse it with actual dialogue, but I only had like half an hour to actually type words after having the post kicking around in my brain for months.

It could have been worse, but still.

Incidentally, if anyone's interested in reading the canonical groundwork for Chris' tale, you might want to read the now-cancelled "Dial H," one of the few redeeming elements of The New 52.

It was dark, and absurdist, and genius, and is one of the few works I would put right up there with Grant Morrison's "JLA."

Been wondering something

Is there a case where Frank Castle went up against Batman?

Anybody willing to tell me what happened if it did happen?

Also Nevyn, if that is how you feel then you should know that not only do I feinferior, I feel like the shadow of sea urchin slime shadow. I am far from worthy, but hey you guys tolerate me

The reason this story is so awesome is because we all contribute such vivid voices. I was so glad when Nevyn came back because while I write a decent Jaime, it wasn't the same as having Nevyn's distinctive Jaime.

It is the mix of us that makes it great!

As regards the other thing, I found two Punisher/Batman crossovers, one called "Lake of Fire," with Jean-Paul Valley. I really liked this one because it had such gorgeous imagery regarding the mythology of St. Dumas.

There was another one with Bruce Wayne called "Deadly Knights" later that same year, but I haven't read that one. (Though I really should, Dixon wrote it and JRJR was on pencils.)

Funnily enough, there were implications that both of these were canonical to DC continuity, because Jean-Paul references fighting Jigsaw and Nightwing later mentions "some out of town psycho vigilante, the Pulverizer, the Penetrator, I forget."

So I'm watching "New Girl" for visual reference on Kali Hawk for playing Vixen?

...and out of ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE

...Stephen Amell shows up.

The Arrow is on the same show as Vixen.

And there's someone else in the episode named "Oliver."

THIS IS HILARIOUS

Is anyone waiting on me for anything? As far as I know I have everyone all caught up, but not sure. Right now it looks like John Diggle has called folks to meet when they can in the study where he and Constantine wait. The kids are starting to head out.

If anyone is waiting on me shoot me a PM please. Want to make sure I haven't dropped any balls that I have been juggling.
